Reevaluation Of Values: Science Has Become A Moral Obligation

January 31, 2020

Well, it was bound to happen. A massive pandemic progressing so fast it affects all of humanity. Humanity has modified considerably the natural ecology: by increasing wealth of its population, China has four times more travellers than ten years ago. In its booming human population, contacts are much more frequent, enabling the evolution and explosion of much more virulent viruses, and other microbes. Besides the gathering global warming provides microbes with new ecological niches in which defenses against them have not been evolved… and will take more time to evolve than microbes take themselves to evolve: it’s a question of size. Microbes are more microscopic, thus simpler to change while staying viable.

The solution is of course to fabricate a vaccine within weeks, not months (except it can’t be done: candidate vaccines already exist, but it will take a long time to improve them so that they are safe and efficient). Thus, we need much more investments in fundamental biological research. Having preliminary results on the nature of the virus, already, is encouraging.

SARS, MERS were among the now seven types of Corona Viruses known. They are named thus, because they form a crown.

This situation with corona viruses is a particular case of a much more general problem: humanity is messing up its nest,  while, at the same time, booming in population and travelling. This brings increasing opportunities but also increasing dangers. The solution is to push research to solve these problems ever faster, fast enough to avoid catastrophe. Thus, we have to invest ever more in fundamental research, because it is intimately tied to basic the pursuit of civilization, and hedonism itself: only thinking harder and deeper will enable us to keep on pursuing basic rights like life and happiness.

Earth, we have a problem. We are now beyond 10,000 official cases, in China alone. And the virus has spread to more than 20 countries, thanks to air travel.

At this point the lethality and contagion capability of the virus is not known enough to estimate how bad the pandemic will get. But, if not this one, it’s clear a future one will get much worse… for ecological reasons…

Fundamental research in science and technology is not just what it used to be, a possibility, a calling, or contributing to civilization and honoring the human spirit. The very success of this enormous human population and the Anthropocene it has created has turned fundamental scientific research into a moral obligation.

P/S: Researchers have already studied the genome of the new coronavirus and found the proteins that are crucial for infection.

***

P/S 2: If this Coronavirus does not develop in a humongous pandemic this time, then next. As I tried to say, it’s a matter of ecology: we made the ecological advantage of microbes considerable, all of a sudden. Giving antibiotics to meat animals doesn’t help. Yes, antibiotics. In the viral context. I don’t know about the Coronavirus, but 75% of cases of flu are accompanied by a bacterial infection. Moreover, the flu acts like AIDS, killing 90% of macrophages in lungs… So ANTIBIOTICS works against the (consequences, and co-infection of) flu… (Official CDC conclusions, 2017, under Trump…)
Coronavirus, like the flu, kills by pneumonia…

It Should Be An Economy, Instead It Is An Ecocaust

January 28, 2020

Not to say an Ecocide, and US Politicians have made it so:

Eco-nomy means house management, it’s not eco-caust, burning the house. So how come it’s happening nevertheless? Because brains are washed with petroleum media.

The world is dominated by a monopoly, the financial plutocracy, which is entangled with another, the fossil fuel plutocracy.

For example fracking was financed by Wall Street. Both are even entangled with Literal Islam (Wahhabism, etc.)… thanks to a conspiracy by FDR on the Great Bitter Lake in 1945 with the Abdulaziz, founder of Saudi Arabia.

Is it greed, or outright thievery by, and addiction from, fossil fuel pushers? Because finance and oil control media: how else to explain nuclear killed nobody at Fukushima, while fossil fuels kill ten million a year, and still everybody is indignant about the former?

Obama The Great Fossil Fueled! As one can see Obama/Democrats made the fossil fuel orgasm of the USA possible as never before (with preliminary work from Bush Senior to Bush W) to make US fracking profitable to Wall Street

Or how to explain Obama killed hydrogen… which was massively used in Europe already in the 1950s (“urban gas/gas de ville)? Hydrogen, and its derivatives (ammonia, etc.) would enable the storage of renewables, and could be used all over in transportation. Instead Japan, Germany, are closing nuclear, and switching to coal. Germany fear periods, which can last two weeks, with no wind and no sun.

The correct solution should be “green hydrogen” (hydrogen from renewables). Expanding these new technologies will cause a formidable economic expansion. Fossil fuel economy and finance are fundamentally fascist economic activities: they require only oligarchs, a few workers. Renewable economy is the exact opposite

And yes, it will all burn, this is how climate will change!

A simplified version of the above comment was finally published by the NYT, after much tergiversations, apparently, as a comment to Paul Krugman… Except the New York Times sat nearly 48 hours on my comment before publishing it, long after the other comments. That tells me they read it very carefully, while making sure nobody else would read it (hide your sources, if you want to pass for a genius, as Einstein would say). Now the Paul Krugman editorial was pretty good, and he said things I have said for years… So I reproduce big chunks of it below, as after all, this is mostly what I have long said (and which was many times carefully read at NYT, before being censored…). As usual, Trump is accused (more or less implicitly, of Obama’s policies (look carefully at the graph above!), or policies of the US Deep State, in place for a century). Here is Paul Krugman:

Greta Versus the Greedy Grifters
Why a 17-year-old is a better economist than Steve Mnuchin.

I’ve never been a fan of Davos, that annual gathering of the rich and fatuous. One virtue of the pageant of preening and self-importance, however, is that it brings out the worst in some people, leading them to say things that reveal their vileness for all to see.

And so it was for Steven Mnuchin, Donald Trump’s Treasury secretary. First, Mnuchin doubled down on his claim that the 2017 tax cut will pay for itself — just days after his own department confirmed that the budget deficit in 2019 was more than $1 trillion, 75 percent higher than it was in 2016.

Then he sneered at Greta Thunberg, the young climate activist, suggesting that she go study economics before calling for an end to investment in fossil fuels…

… burning fossil fuels is a huge source of environmental damage, not just from climate change but also from local air pollution, which is a major health hazard we don’t do nearly enough to limit.

The International Monetary Fund makes regular estimates of worldwide subsidies to fossil fuels — subsidies that partly take the form of tax breaks and outright cash grants, but mainly involve not holding the industry accountable for the indirect costs it imposes. In 2017 it put these subsidies at $5.2 trillion; yes, that’s trillion with a “T.” For the U.S., the subsidies amounted to $649 billion, which is about $3 million for every worker employed in the extraction of coal, oil and gas.

Without these subsidies, it’s hard to imagine that anyone would still be investing in fossil fuels….

But maybe Mnuchin thinks that the I.M.F. should also take some courses in economics — along with the thousands of economists, including every living former Federal Reserve chair, dozens of Nobel laureates, and chief economists from both Democratic and Republican administrations, who signed an open letter calling for taxes on emissions of greenhouse gases.

In short, Greta Thunberg may be only 17, but her views are much closer to the consensus of the economics profession than those of the guy clinging to the zombie idea that tax cuts pay for themselves.

But could the economics consensus be wrong? Yes, but probably because it isn’t hard enough on fossil fuels.

On one side, a number of experts argue that standard models underestimate the risks of climate change, both because they don’t account for its disruptive effects and because they don’t put enough weight on the possibility of total catastrophe.

On the other side, estimates of the cost of reducing emissions tend to understate the role of innovation. Even modest incentives for expanded use of renewable energy led to a spectacular fall in prices over the past decade.

I still often find people — both right-wingers and climate activists — asserting that sharply reducing emissions would require a big decline in G.D.P. Everything we know, however, says that this is wrong, that we can decarbonize while continuing to achieve robust growth….

The bigger issue, however, is sheer greed.

Given the scale of subsidies we give to fossil fuels, the industry as a whole should be regarded as a gigantic grift. It makes money by ripping off everyone else, to some extent through direct taxpayer subsidies, to a greater extent by shunting the true costs of its operations off onto innocent bystanders.

And let’s be clear: Many of those “costs” take the form of sickness and death, because that’s what local air pollution causes. Other costs take the form of “natural” disasters like the burning of Australia, which increasingly bear the signature of climate change.

In a sane world we’d be trying to shut this grift down. But the grifters — which overwhelmingly means corporations and investors, since little of that $3-million-per-worker subsidy trickles down to the workers themselves — have bought themselves a lot of political influence.

And so people like Mnuchin claim not to see anything wrong with industries whose profits depend almost entirely on hurting people. Maybe he should take a course in economics — and another one in ethics.

What If Obama Were On Trial? Well, He Should Be! On Obama-Biden Firing Ukraine Prosecutor

January 26, 2020

I used as (first part of the) title, the title of an editorial of the New York Times January 26, 2020. Consider Trump’s impeachment from some other angles, says Nicholas Kristof, Opinion Columnist. I usually like Kristof, but here it’s open season on him after he refused to post my comment (or will publish it in 2 days, which comes down to the same). After some padding over 30 lines or so, Kristof grandly declares:

In practical terms, this amounts to: What if it were Obama who had been caught in this Ukraine scandal?…. Progressives may be scoffing that this exercise is unrealistic: Obama was meticulous in avoiding scandal and ethical conflicts.

Thus Kristof makes clear that it is NOT something which happened… As a matter of course. This is high level disinformation on Kristof’s part: there is plenty of evidence to the contrary, but it is found in (some) foreign media (“Consortium News”), and it’s hidden from the US public. To keep it hidden from those reading NYT comments, my comment, a comment from a fanatical progressive, but also fair, balanced and clever, was censored.

To go on imprinting on such a grotesque lie, the grandiosity of Saint Obama, the New York Times in its plutocratic wisdom decided NOT to publish my comment. Indeed, Obama is little more than a stooge for plutocracy, including the literally dirtiest sort, the financial and fossil fuel/fracking plutocracy (fracking is Wall Street burning planet for profit). Obama is going to be rolled out if the old stooge Biden, or the new stooge Buttigieg, falter. The latter possible development would mean that Sanders (probably) or Warren (possibly) is going to be candidate. That’s when the biggest stooge of them all would be rolled out.

Most of the plutocrats don’t pay taxes. One could even view this as their definition: plutocrats have so much power that the laws are arranged to serve them. Consider subsidies on private jets, making 1% of US CO2… Of course the establishment is not just terrified of a Sanders presidency. It fears even more every day that Sanders keeps on advertising and explaining his “Democratic Socialism”. So it’s important, for the established plutocracy, that Obama damages Sanders… thus that Obama’s astounding aura remains intact.

Well, maybe one didn’t look at what was impeachable in Obama’s actions. Obama apparently ordered personally drone strikes (instead of leaving the decisions to professionals themselves part of a hierarchy in oversight position). The president directly ordered the killing of US citizens without trial for Islamist propaganda (rather than murder). At least one of these US citizens was not adult, but 16 years old.

(Analogy to the decay of the Roman Republic: Cicero, self-proclaimed defender of the Republic, seemed to consider that extra-judicial execution were the way to go. He used them as Consul during the “Conspiracy of Catiline”. Much later, more stupidly, and dangerously, he tried to use such a denial of justice against Marcus Antonius…)

Second and more importantly, there is the interference in Ukraine. VP Joe Biden said loud and clear for all to hear, that he didn’t interfere in other countries policies. However, more recently he was on tape boasting of the exact opposite… in connection with the Burisma Holdings investigation.

Here is my terrible anti-plutocratic comment, which the New York Times depicts as lacking “civility”:

Vice President Joe Biden warned Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko that, if he did not fire the very experienced Procuror General Viktor MykolayovychShokin, the Obama administration was prepared to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees. Biden: “I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ They said:”Son of a bitch” He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid.”

The Ukrainian Parliament refused initially to accept the resignation of the procuror general Viktor Mykolayovych Shokin. The “solid” man was Yuriy Lutsenko a Ukrainian MP who was forced to resign in 2010, and condemned to 4 years in jail for corruption. Lutsenko has no law degree. Considering the later point, a special law was passed. Biden claimed, on tape, that he was following Obama’s orders.

For skeptics, here is Biden on tape, bragging about firing the prosecutor who was inquiring about the embezzlement (at least 40 million dollars) of Hunter Biden’s company, Burisma Holdings:

It’s incredible to know that journalists and editorialists at the New York Times can look at themselves in a mirror, and not blush. What do they think they do as they foster plutocracy, using the basest method, that of the Big Lie? On the same Sunday edition (26 Jan 2020) where my comment was censored, there were interviews of whom the NYT views as the most important six Democratic candidates. Two were very wealthy multimillionaires, many times over. Two other were multibillionaires. The latter two, Bloomberg and Styer, have already spent, together eight times the total spending war chest of Trump. Yes they spent eight times, already, what Trump will spend in the future. Plus they get free advertising in the New York Times. Bernie Sanders in all this? He gets scathing editorial after scathing editorial, while Bloomberg gets lauded…

I got the electronic version of Kristof editorial, early on, Saturday. It had a long section explaining all the bad things Trump did NOT do. I sent my comment, it was censored. Then the NYT went on publishing more than 1,000 comments…. But also modifying Kristof’s editorial before it went to print by removing the section explaining all what Trump didn’t do (but has been accused of doing by the lying anti-Trumpists)

Biosphere Annihilation: Why Greta Thunberg Can’t Really Say It As It Is

January 25, 2020

Attacked with violence, the wise will not just turn the other cheek, or civilization will collapse: this is what happened when Rome collapsed. All over fake speech rules (yes it’s not just Trump [1]). The answer to the tribal (thus racist) and ageist “OK, Boomer!”? “KO, ZEROES!”

It’s a higher form of bias to think everybody has GOT to be biased. Worse: claiming bias is of the essence justifies the principle of bias (as it can’t be avoided). Some people are world, others are tribal.

Climate activist, 17 year old Greta Thunberg declared that ALL the climate requests that people supporting her point of view had were IGNORED at Davos. Truth is that financial and fossil fuel plutocracies are entangled, and in world command. So of course they will not listen. Their agenda is deep, Machiavellian: the elites didn’t get in command by being brutish, stupid and obvious. Just the opposite.

The elites know very well that the climate crisis, even the mass extinction crisis, is real. How could they not know? New York is thinking of putting an anti-sea barrier, with a cost of at least 150 billion dollars. London already has one. And detail discussions are conducted: should the barrier fight sea level rise, or storm surges amplified by sea level rise? So of course, Wall Street knows: it just has to look out of the window.

And the situation is much more dire than Common Wisdom has it:

https://patriceayme.wordpress.com/2017/04/05/running-out-of-oxygen-culture-of-greater-inquiry-vs-culture-of-greater-idiocy/

****

So what do the elites truly want, deep down inside their sick psyches? Sick psyches, I said? Look at the widely admired Michelle Obama: she loves to spend $30,000 a week at “The Ranch”, a place where plutocrats can deepen their ties and conspiracies. Some Plutos going to “The Ranch” are not so happy, as the irreplaceable Michelle the trophy horse, goes there with two dozen secret service agents, complete with guns, earbuds, and looking at everybody suspiciously… courtesy of the gullible US taxpayer.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/lifestyle/michelle-obama-and-wall-street-fat-cats-may-collide-at-malibu-spa

So what do the elites want in the matter of climate, down their tortured and torturing psyches, so sick even they can’t get there? I will tell you, because the depths are my abode, and I have said it before: mayhem. Because mayhem brings a call for fascism, and fascism needs leaders. Obama, please notice, was strong on the notion of “leaders” (Trump also is, but he is no as blatant, as he spent quite a bit of time disparaging some leaders, hence the leader principle central to the leaders religion..) Clearly, mayhem the CO2 catastrophe will imminently, and eminently, deliver.

Part of the way the elite rules is how it speaks and how it says we are supposed to speak, LYING ALL DAY LONG.

    • Don Kemerling The kid has got an ego expanding faster than the universe. In fact, the people at Davos, except for Trump and Mnuchin, were presumably working after reading the report released by their World Economic Forum beforehand.
It paints a picture of problems. If leaders deal with the problems realistically, and with the welfare of civilization in mind, it’s possible to deal with environmental problems effectively. The chances are small, I think, that catastrophe will be avoided, but the worse catastrophe will be social upheaval that cuts off necessary supplies to cities, where most people now live, and causes panic and violence in the streets.
      http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_Global_Risk_Report_2020.pdf
    • I ran into a person a while back that predicted he would “die in the climate wars.” This attitude is not productive, but very destructive.”

***

Much to think about what you said, Don. I will read the Global Risk Report. But I am familiar with the general drift. My position is not that one should prepare for the best, because the best doesn’t need any preparations, one can go on as before.

I actually respect Greta ever more, although she grated on my nerves initially… for the purely selfish reason that I have been saying this for decades, and not enough people paid attention. Then she goes to strike her school, and everybody looks at her admiringly, all the more as she goes around saying she is a mental retard… (with the implication that even a mental retard can see the planet is burning… so how come the Davos crowd can’t? Answer: because that’s what they want!

Instead, of preparing for the best of all possible world as Stephen Pinker, Gates’ employee, claims we should, the wise will prepare for the worst. And what is the worst?

Is the worst a return to the Jurassic climate, with seas seventy meters higher? No. First, that return is part of the problem. Just a part. Another part is the speed of the change: back to the Jurassic, in a few decades. That will prevent species from evolving enough to adapt to a changed environment… except if they are insects, parasites, bacteria and viruses.. Some of which go through many generations in just one day.

Those small, fast evolving critters will in turn destroy unadapted large species of plants and animals. This is already happening, with gigantic forests now killed and ready to burn in mountainous or polar regions. In turn, while these forests burn, gigantic amounts of CO2 join the atmosphere. In the last few weeks fires in Australia produced one billion tons of CO2, 3% of the total CO2 produced by direct human burning in 2019. And the fire season is not finished in Australia.

Many scientists have claimed it would take 5,000 years to melt the largest glacial ensembles in Antarctica. I have no idea what evidence they had, aside from pleasin the powers that be. I read their papers, couldn’t see it. On the contrary, there is geological evidence that the two kilometer thick glacier above Hudson Bay melted in a few years. Moreover, it’s easy to describe a mechanism which would make West Antarctica, the Wilkes and Aurora basins melt in a few years.

When could that massive melting start? No one knows for sure if measured by time. But, clearly a global rise of temperature of 4 degree Centigrades would do it (I have written that down; basically one degree corresponds to 200 kilometers of climate drift towards the poles; moreover the rise is double in polar regions. So + 4 C global would mean the climate of South Georgia… where glaciers melt when contacting the sea).

But the worst of the worst has already started: hypoxia, the collapse of oxygen production, from killing the phytoplankton. No sweat, professor Denning told me, we have plenty of oxygen in the atmosphere. However, massive oxidation (from rising temperatures, methane release). So the 10^15 tons of oxygen  may not be as set in stone as they appear. Much of the oceans is already going hypoxic, and are dead. It’s apparently the case that oxygen density varied between 7% and 32% during the age of animals…

It takes courage to be Greta. And Greta fights with what gives birth to ideas: emotions. The ruling emotion right now is meek lamentation around the weak euphemism “climate change”… when actually what is going is the worst mass extinction in 66 million years.

So long live the Great  Greta Thunberg! I forgive her for not being alarming enough! She has to pace herself! She has to be political, and not hurt infamy too hard, too fast! When macron stuck his neck out, and claimed the oxygen density was at stake (did he read me?), he was widely ridiculed by establishment scientists part of the elite system in a basal way. But Macron was right, and right to sound the alarm. OK, I have this ongoing argument with professor Denning on hypoxia, and still didn’t write down my mightiest arguments…

Yet, time is of the essence, and I am apparently not yet angry enough… Thanks the Dark Side, we have Greta to show all that anger is honorable, as it should be. Let’s roar while we still have enough oxygen to do so!

Soon Greta will be able to say it as it is: the heat, the seas, the fires, will rise… while oxygen goes down…

What’s Auschwitz? What Happens When Dark Side Is Ignored Too Long!

January 23, 2020

What happened in 1914-1945, when Germany went berserk? When Germany went for World Empire (as if tiny mentally reduced Germany were the USA?) It has not been answered well yet. All the lessons have not yet been drawn… At least by intellectuals… paradoxically.

The truth about 1914-1945 is very simple: an entire nation thought that following orders was where morality was… Instead of following the human hearts they should have had (but didn’t!)

Hearts and minds had been killed by obedience.

Who invented that philosophy obedience Uber Alles? In truth, Prussia, a military miracle, became such a miracle through militarization of its entire society. It was not the first human society to do this: Sparta and Assyria had tried before, and ended as Prussia would: annihilated. For German intellectuals, and leaders of the German people and army, an idiot, named Immanuel Kant was the dark light shining on their obscure minds… Kant, a partisan of slavery, great priest of morality through blind obedience, used by Eichman in his defense…

Hitler Criminally Insane Women Volunteers parading, smiling and proud, in Paris, 1940. Nobody forced them to volunteer. They couldn’t wait to kill all these Jews, torture all these French terrorists. grow and multiply the triumphant German race. I have seen, in German houses, pictures of family members in Nazi uniform hidden behind family photographs….

Some intellectuals brandish big words, obfuscating:”Auschwitz is a negation of humanity by itself!”Actually, such statements are more a negation of humanity by weakling logic.

What should one have done? The answer isn’t clear, say those who have understood nothing, or so they claim. But some have understood: look at Israel.

Suppose, just for fun, that Israel suddenly existed, as it is today, transported to January 1942. Of course, Israel, population seven million, couldn’t have invaded Nazi Germany, population 90 million, and controlling another 120 million Europeans. But Israel could have asked for the unconditional surrender of the Nazis, starting with the annihilation of one german city after another, using thermonuclear weapons.

Any questions?

Indeed I know some clear answers: when confronted to infamy, one needs to have the rage to fight it. Good feelings aren’t enough. This is why, after the (innocent) elderly Callas was broken on the wheel, because he was a Protestant, Voltaire spent a large part of his fortune re-establishing his honor and justice. Peace is not enough.

My credential for expertise in the way of injustice and Nazism, are impeccable: one half of may family saved more than 100 Jews (to the risk of summary execution, torture and or finishing in a death camp). The other half fought in World War Two, and saw combat. One uncle, an officer, fought 6 years in uniform. Another uncle was married to the daughter of Von Moltke.

The Talmud is famous for a debate between two schools

One school held that it would have been better if humanity had never been created. It won the vote which replaced the debate. Horror: this proved the Nazis (yet to come in the future), right. Nazism was little more than a death machine

Hannah Arendt came up with her banality of evil, or, at least, with her banality of reasoning:”Eichmann forgot to think about his acts”. That’s hogwash. Eichman knew very well what he was doing, and he explained it perfectly, Arendt didn’t listen, or didn’t understand.

Arendt forgot the Dark Side. All the stupid pacifists out there forget the Dark Side… and that’s why we got Hitler, the Kaiser, their goons, and an abysmal German mentality which spawned Hitler, the Kaiser and their ilk. If you don’t believe me, read all of Nietzsche, and report.

The Dark Side characterizes supreme intelligence… because intelligence protects intelligence, and has to protect intelligence, and, in particular, its brood (this is not a new theme, it’s all over science fiction, all the way to the recent and Chinese, “Three Body Problem” trilogy. It turns out that the galaxy is a “Dark Forest”, because all civilizations are keen not to be detected. Those which reveal themselves get annihilated. Even elephants have the Dark Side: they don’t forget, and will punish their enemies.

A Jewish girl born in Romania, now living in Israel, Helena Hirsch, a 91 year old in 2020, with the tattoo number A 20982 survived. Because the day she was brought to the gas chamber, the Zyklon B didn’t work. She philosophizes correctly: “One should have been heroes, heroes don’t die.”

The truth about humanity is simple: it’s a knife made to cut to the truth (de-cide). A knife can be good, or can be bad. It has a good way to be used, and a bad one… depending upon circumstances. Sometimes, it’s good to muster the Dark Side, and plunge the knife in the heart of evil. It’s not enough to have better angels: sometimes they need to muster overwhelming force… As Lincoln did.

Indeed, to be a hero, one needs to master at least some of the Dark Side. Not just to know how to get it going, but how t get it going, just right.

“Democratic” Plutocracy On A Roll

January 20, 2020

We have a problem with worldwide global plutocracy. Kim, Xi, Putin, the dictators of Iran, and the late Suleimani are all plutocrats. Leading “representative democracies” have been, and are, stuffed with plutocrats. It didn’t start yesterday. The two rounds of the obsolete German plutocracy to try to save itself, by conquering the world, failed, causing durable damage to Europe, and thus civilization (Europe had been leading the world civilizationally; since then physical leadership has gone to the USA… while Europe got decerebrated.)

We have a dangerous precedent: Rome. For military reasons. We The People got armed. 16 million young men in the USA got trained to kill. Similarly in France and the UK. The result was a lot of democracy and equality, from 1945 to 1975. By then, though, the fossil fuel plutocrats and their sponsors, world financial plutocracy, made it so to increase their power.

Obama meant well, sort of, relatively speaking, but, ultimately, he served The Man, Pluto.

The first thing to do is to limit wealth absolutely:

https://patriceayme.wordpress.com/2014/05/31/limit-wealth-absolutely/

***

More From Plutocracy Central:

Two “Democratic” Pluto candidates, Bloomberg and Styer, spent already, 400 million dollars of their money, around eight times what Trump gathered.

Rachel was kind enough to answer. Now I must confess I have listened to lots of CNN, MSNBC, and I am a New York Times subscriber (all of this since deep into last century). I view all these media as much more biased than Fox News. My hatred for their propagandistic behavior started in 2002, in the built-up for the invasion of Iraq. The NYT finally banned me for more than ten years. Initially, I spited Fox News, as it was created by Murdoch, whom I then called Murderoch, who wanted so badly to invade Iraq. However, during the Trump presidency, Fox, to my amazement, has turned more fair and balanced than the others (OK, not saying much!)

So because I am submitted (by own making) to lots of anti-Trump propaganda of the asinine type, I recognize it for what it is: drivel fostered by the world’s most powerful plutocrats, who are terrified of what they call “populism”… because they literally don’t know what “Demos-Kratia” means…

This is in constant dollars

Rachel Laudenslager Hunt As I said, Pelosi is not my favorite, but this is not about her.

Trump does whatever the most powerful people he knows want him to do. So yes, rich people and the military/industrial complex are happy. Energy companies are happy. They desperately want you to think that what’s good for oil companies is good for you. It’s not true.

The low unemployment rate is covering stagnant wages and declining financial security of the working class. Export businesses are suffering under the reactionary and short sighted tariffs. He’s gutted the State department, making war the only foreign policy choice available in every situation. He’s basically pissing off all our allies and giving the farm away to our enemies. Climate change is being ignored. Education is being privatized. I could go on and on.

And no, I don’t think Obama was perfect, but Trump has taken the worst executive power grabs that Obama was guilty of and quadrupled them.”

***

Well, Trump didn’t officially execute US citizens without trial, some children. Ah, yes, i forgot, as a “Democrat” and friend of Barry, i am not supposed to have noticed his direct order. Being a “Democrat” means wearing blinds…

A lot of “democrats” (self-declared) smoke too much pot… So they didn’t notice that Obama is the one who pushed and installed the FRACKING industry, well financed by Wall Street. Obama, in an act of supreme hypocrisy called it “bridge fuel to the future”.

So US supremacy in fossil fuels IS Obama’s greatest achievement. Obama even tried to get US coal exported to China from Oregon (failed because Oregon objected). Right, Trump is persuading everybody that fracking is his work, so he can get more votes. But it was actually Obama.

Another great achievement of Obama was to send all the money to the banks, and achieve a greater inequality (as measured by Gini index) as ever before.

Actually real wages are going up under Trump and more so for lower wages, before and after taxes. This can be read all over, the graphs are clear. That can’t be contested. This is how Trump is achieving this that is a matter of debate.

Short sighted tariffs? Plutocratic globalization literally emptied the US and Europe. I have explained in many superbly deep essays of great historical value, that global plutocracy followed exactly the tricks used by Roman plutocrats in the Second Century BCE. Basically, plutocrats fear revolutions of We The People. A way out of this is to make We The People Impotent.

Impotence is first achieved by making We The People incapable of well paid, important jobs. This is why Smart Phones were made in China. When the Trump administration is putting an halt to this, it doesn’t do just smart economics and smart sociology, it does indispensable security.

In France the de-industrialization is so acute, the French are unable to make the basic technology for advanced nuclear reactors. Because French leaders are sold to global plutocrats, they gave China the plan of their advanced nuclear reactor, the EPR. In Europe those EPR have been under construction forever, in Finland, France, Great Britain. But they don’t know how to weld anymore (France and Japan used to have the best welding for nuclear reactors, 30 years ago). Guess what? The Chinese EPR has been connected to the grid nearly a year ago, it’s working splendidly. Meanwhile the Chinese are selling worldwide nuclear reactors made according to older French nuclear tech. Isn’t that great? Meanwhile, France is getting impoverished, and has been in a recession for 11 years… so is Germany (Italy, for much longer and deeper than that). Ah, and France has 9% unemployment and it’s much higher in Spain, Italy.

At the core of the European recession is the departure of quality jobs to China. China got there through a lot of stolen IP (the fast trains are stolen French IP; the coming Maglev line between Beijing and Shanghai is also stolen German IP). I am not reproaching the Chinese for stealing what was offered to them. I was involved in a startup working for the Pentagon (and the Jap army)… using Chinese seed money. Then all the IP (from a top US university) was secretly transferred to China. The company lawyer informed the CEO that was all illegal in spirit. She was fired. Now, such behavior is becoming illegal in practice, under Trump. Obama tolerated it.  IP theft is why the US blocked, long ago, Chinese access to the ISS.

To say that climate annihilation is ignored under Trump is, once again, confusing headlines and reality. Differently from Obama, Trump is financing nuclear handsomely. Nuclear is where the power is, to mitigate the climate catastrophe. Obama talked big on climate, but did a lot of bad things, such as not supporting fusion power research.

On his first day my friend Barry killed hydrogen research in the USA. However, as I have explained in many essays, renewables, especially solar can’t work as total replacement, without hydrogen ,,, So Barry talked the talk, while discreetly killing the renewable goose, so he could deploy fracking.

Although Lithium has worked better than I expected… The EU is building its first Li-Ion mega battery plant (in Poland) …on this, lithium batteries Obama did pretty well: his best discovery was Elon Musk… against whom I used to smirk, but I have changed my tune on this one… Musk is doing an amazing job…

Democrats with Trump Derangement Syndrome are just doing the usual American lynch thing, they satisfy their hatred against humanity, an old American emotional tradition. Trump is the new Black. Yeah, “Orange”.

The claim of the Pluto media that wages are going down under Trump is counterfactual

Real progressives would work with Trump where progress can be made… and has been proposed by Trump. In the 1980s, most “democrats” (O’Neil, Biden) worked with Reagan (who was way worse than Trump). Democrat Donald Trump raged against Reagan, his globalization, and his “Democratic” enablers. Real progressives didn’t want NAFTA as proposed, they wanted something like the USMCA… which Trump bullied through (to the great screaming of the pseudo-left paid by Bloomberg and his ilk).

Yes, I would prefer heart attack Sanders or lying Warren as president. But if my choice is between Trump and one of the greatest war criminals in world history for president, I know who I will not vote for, and whom I will denounce from every rooftop.

***

For the Democratic Party to be led by confirmed war criminals is an astounding situation. Ah, but nobody noticed. I am the one who is supposed to be deranged, because i insist on sticking to reality: Biden war authorization of 2002, and Bush “loving” Pelosi’s complicity in hiding “George” lies about Iraq. Although, right now, for the first time, The Guardian (UK left) noticed that “Biden is corrupt”

‘Middle Class’ Joe Biden has a corruption problem – it makes him a weak candidate. By Zephyr Teachout

We don’t have to choose Biden’s way, which would give Trump a perfect foil. Mon 20 Jan 2020

Biden has a big corruption problem and it makes him a weak candidate… a lot of the voters we need – independents and people who might stay home – will look at Biden and Trump and say: “They’re all dirty.”

It looks like “Middle Class” Joe has perfected the art of taking big contributions, then representing his corporate donors at the cost of middle- and working-class Americans. Converting campaign contributions into legislative favors and policy positions isn’t being “moderate”. It is the kind of transactional politics Americans have come to loathe.

There are three clear examples.

First, Biden’s support for finance over working-class Americans. His career was bankrolled by the credit card industry. He delivered for it by spearheading a bankruptcy bill that made it harder for Americans to reduce their debts and helped cause the financial crisis. He not only authored and voted for that bill, he split with Barack Obama and led the battle to vote down Democratic amendments.

… At a fundraiser last year, Biden promised his Wall Street donors that “nothing would fundamentally change” for them if he became president. Now the financial world is raising huge money for his campaign. It clearly thinks he’s going to be its friend if elected. Most Americans, who get ripped off by the financial sector on a daily basis, aren’t looking for a candidate who has made their life harder.

Second, healthcare. … Biden went straight to a fundraiser co-hosted by the chief executive of a major health insurance corporation. He refuses to sign a pledge to reject money from insurance and pharma execs and continues to raise money from healthcare industry donors. His campaign is being bankrolled by a super Pac run by healthcare lobbyists.

What did all these donors get? A healthcare proposal that preserves the power of the insurance industry and leaves 10 million Americans uninsured.

Third, climate change. Biden signed a pledge not to take money from the fossil fuel industry, then broke his promise. Right after a CNN town hall on climate change, he held a fundraiser hosted by the founder of a fossil fuel conglomerate…

There are plenty of other examples that raise questions, like housing and social security. Big real estate moguls are playing a major role in Biden’s campaign. Unlike his rivals, he has no comprehensive housing plan. When he pushed for cuts to Social Security, was he serving donors or his constituents?

I can already hear the howls: But look at Trump! Trump is 1,000 times worse!

You don’t need to convince me. I have spent my life writing about and fighting against corruption… there is no doubt [Biden’s] record represents the transactional, grossly corrupt culture in Washington that long precedes Trump. We cannot allow Trump to so lower our standards that we aren’t even allowed to call out that culture, which has not only stymied progress but also harmed the Democratic party.

The good news is that we still have time to break with this culture of corruption. We don’t have to choose Biden’s way… The 2020 election should be about a crystal clear contrast between truth and lies, corruption and integrity, compassion and cruelty.

We have a rare opportunity to end a larger culture of corruption and we should take it – we will regret it if we don’t.”

Well, arresting the war criminals, the criminals against humanity, Biden, Pelosi, Bush, and other liars who launched the Iraq invasion to make US fracking profitable, would be a good start.

***

It’s interesting to exchange with those who know less, and actually miss altogether on some basic axioms, thus dimensions: they always come back to what they know, and thus stay squashed, lower dimensional beings.

The real question is how do we unsquash them? To acquire dimensionality, only strong emotions work. To show to the Germans that their notion of superior race was erroneous, one had to destroy them on the battlefields like cockroaches, eradicating about 20% of the population (and killing or gravely wounding one male out of two). This is also why it’s so hard to extirpate racism from the USA: a lot of hate-Trump, “cancel”, “woke” “culture” is just more of the same (which ironically enough, is correctly reproached to many Trump supporters…)

What’s not in question here, contrarily to repute, is not Trump’s sanity, but the sanity of the Democratic Party. For example, why don’t “Democrats” worry about LOW, Launch On Warning… They don’t even know what it is. Instead they insist Trump doesn’t know what he is doing… while the evidence is the exact opposite.

Trump Dissonance Syndrome Affects All Too Many Ignorant, Self-Obsessed Hypocrites

January 20, 2020

Just because I am civil and rational with Trump, many hypocrites called me a Trumpist. When in truth I am often the opposite!) Why? Because they are worse than Trump, covering their tracks. Agreeing with DeGeneres I am (although she likes her good friend W Bush, and that’s going way too far for me… I hate formally all war criminals. Somebody has to! At least “George” is not in power anymore, whereas his self-declared lover Nancy is!)

I do listen and read a lot of the Trump hate media. Much is driven by billionaires such as Bloomberg and Styer. The latter spent 200 millions promoting himself and his ecology (he founded his fortune on coal trading). The former overspent other candidates five to ne, and got elected mayor of New York. Now he has already spent four times more than Trump to get elected president.

“Support”, “Believe”… For most people opinion seems to be a sort of religion they tribally join… Such people are either for or against Trump, Climate, etc. They embrace thinking as religion. Such is the royal road to unfathomable stupidity. Pathetic to see young people supposedly condemning racism… in the name of tribalism.

Because I exhibit hot facts, snowflakes call me names, and then they melt down, crying. They are inside just what they condemn, for show, outside: their barely crystalized thoughts have little substance.

Those who take for granted that Pelosi didn’t betray humanity when plotting to destroy Iraq have much in common with those Germans for whom Hitler was morally elevating: they suffer terminal moral-cognitive disorder, refusing absolutely to inquire about a catastrophe they caused.

However I get messages such as this:

Rachel Laudenslager Hunt: I agree that many people criticize Trump in out of bounds ways such as making fun of his appearance and his family and they often focus on superficial things or use unnecessarily crude language.
I disagree with this because there is so much substance on which Trump deserves serious legitimate criticism.
His policies are a disaster, he displays worrying symptoms of serious mental illness, and he has publicly admitted to doing things that are clear violations of federal law including key clauses in the Constitution.
This should be made clear in a sober and careful conversation, not in apoplectic displays of outrage.
Read the Mueller Report, watch the Congressional hearings. Pay attention to the number of criminal trials surrounding his associates.
Enough said.”

***

Well, not enough has been said, because most of these are lies, or fake universes.

The Mueller report was whether Trump was a Russian agent. However, Trump was saying the same things, in the 1980s, when he was one of the rare Democrats to oppose Reagan (then Warren was a Republican). What Trump was saying in the 1980s, he incorporated in his actions as president. It’s difficult for me to listen to the Speaker, who wants to impeach Trump and Pence, while being the only Iraq war criminal still in position of enormous power. And what power! Third in succession to the throne!

dear Rachel Laudenslager Hunt: Which policies of Trump are a disaster? USMCA? New trade accord with China? Executing the three greatest terrorists in activity? Obamacare? Facebook? GAFA paying no taxes? Executing US citizens with drones, even when they are just propagandists or children thereof? I would respectfully suggest to impeach the woman who killed 2.4 million Iraqis, deliberately, instead of listening to the plutocrat who spent 5 times more than all his rivals combined to become Mayor of New York, shuttling between NYC and Bermuda where he has so much wealth, tax free… Those plutocrats pull the strings against Trump… And they are worse. https://patriceayme.wordpress.com/…/is-nancy-pelosi-a…/

As long as no excrement spoil the war criminal’s expensive shoes, Nancy will be OK, and keep on pretending she is a “good Catholic”… now that she helped kill 2.4 million Iraqi, and no “Democrat” in good standing noticed…

The last fight between pseudo-progressives and Trump confirms an inversion of most values. In the San Francisco Bay Area, with perhaps the world’s great homeless crisis, worse than anything in Mexico, said the UN and the NYT… Most of the hang up is from NIMBYs and regulations. Hundreds of thousands of affordable housing units have been held up for decades. Contrarily to Pelosi, I have known some homeless for decades (they are friends). Now Trump wants to break through the administrative blockages… and the pseudo-left, including real multimillionaires who are also friends and live in Atherton (everybody is a multimillionaire there)  is screaming to high heavens that Trump is a fascist…

The numbers are in: SF homeless population rose 30% since 2017

There is plenty of evidence that the loud anti-Trump (pseudo) left is actually a new type of fascism… worse that Trump. The eviction of the four mothers in Oakland from a long empty house is revealing. (I am pushing for a local initiative to give a right of pre-emption to city halls when houses are repossessed by banks, BTW…)

Here is a little taste, from the SF Chronicle I subscribe to:

“Thydour Coleman shook her head as she spoke about the four mothers evicted from a West Oakland house bought by a real estate investment company planning to flip it.

The McClymonds High School graduate was born and raised in the community, leaving for four decades before returning two years ago. It was unrecognizable, she said.

“The neighborhood has changed completely since I was a little kid,” Coleman said as she walked her dog a block away from the Moms 4 Housing eviction. “I’ve never seen so many homeless people in my life, and they keep building these expensive … houses. They only care about the rich and the famous.”

On Tuesday morning, Alameda County sheriff’s deputies evicted four mothers from a two-story home on Magnolia Street after they had occupied the house, without the owner’s permission, for nearly two months. The episode turned the spotlight on the Bay Area’s exorbitant housing prices — but also on the practice of home flipping and what role it plays in people being priced out of neighborhoods.

For the past nine years, Wedgewood Properties, the Southern California firm that owns the Magnolia Street house, has been one of Oakland’s most prolific house flippers, rehabbing and selling 160 homes. The company says it has spent an average of $57,000 per home, about $9.1 million in total, using all local labor to do the work. Most of the homes were owned by banks, having gone into foreclosure during and after the financial crisis of 2008. They include homes like 2753 67th Ave., which the company bought at auction for $367,000 and sold six months later for $573,000.

I am presently fighting against a plan to ravage a unique wildlife preserve, destroying half of it to build homes for people in the 1%.  This hyper wealthy crowd is all what the pseudo-left in command in the Bay Area cares about. If they don’t belong to it, or are not paid by it, they dream to join it… which may be even worse.

And Trump in all this? They say to each other how terrible Trump is, a bit like Nazis saying high Hitler. Well, they don’t generally live among the human feces and have never talked to the homeless. I do, and notice more and more don’t speak a lick of English…

Racist right wing fascists put on their anti-Trump coat, same as the white coat of the Polar bear: a trick to look as white and innocent as the driven snow… Meanwhile, they frantically block affordable housing… Anything to persuade themselves they are not what truly they are…

War Against Nazism Still Not Won, As Long As Nazi Ideas Rule Minds Regarding France In USA

January 18, 2020

A STRIKING EXAMPLE OF COGNITIVE DERANGEMENT DISORDER: FRANCE, FOUNDATION OF THE USA, Still Viewed As A Cause Of Nazism By (Secretly Sympathetic To) RACIST MASS HOMICIDAL, YET MAINSTREAM DOMINANT AMERICAN IDEOLOGY. Relationship with Iraq Invasion and Impeachment revealed!

The USA is a strange place where a Nazi ideology seed such as Keynes (head of UK delegation at Versailles in 1919) is lionized, by Jews (see Paul Krugman), and many basic Nazi these (some found in Keynes) are still viewed as Common Sense: in other words, VICTORY AGAINST NAZISM HAS NOT BEEN ACHIEVED… as long as the cognitive mechanisms (or, more precisely, lack thereof) which brought Nazism, many of them invented in the USA, have not been defeated.

***

The Weaponization Of Philosophical and Technological Progress by France Made England And USA possible:

In the Foundation series from US author Isaac Asimov, mathematician of psychohistory logician Seldon foresees the imminent fall of the Galactic Empire, which encompasses the entire Milky Way, and a dark age lasting 30,000 years before a second empire arises. France,  by creating Britain and the USA, according to mainstream French ideology, did quite a bit the same thing.

France, is a collective of thinking leaders over centuries. Arguably, France is a direct extension of the complex Gallo-Roman mentality, itself something that rose over more than a millennium, prior to Caesar’s partial conquest.

Some French thinkers and men of action, who had a tremendous influence on the modern world, have sunk in the fog of history. Some are known, although not as revolutionary thinkers, which they were (the best example being William the Conqueror). Some are not known to this day (such Berengar, an Abbot protected by William the Conqueror, who promoted reason as God, and probably influenced many, while putting into words what the times were doing in France). The French, the Normans, pushed, overall a similar scheme of extreme progress, and this is when Europe rose above Rome in nearly all significant ways.

Even the decapitated one, Louis XVI, played a crucial role in the history of civilization, as he is the one who insured the success of US Independence: Louis XVI’s massive military intervention made it possible for the USA to exist. This is why the “Star Spangled Banner”, similarly to the Marseillaise, is all about a bloody war against tyrants, among explosions… Modern democracy as found in France, Britain, US, was created by very bloody war… Against bloody masters.

France decided the outlawing of slavery (Queen Bathilde of the Franks, circa 655 CE). When the French army occupied Britain in 1066 CE, it weaponized the outlawing of slavery and other progressive democratizing measures to stay in power: thus England came to be (this entanglement of Britain and France goes on to this day, as France was pro-Brexit… At least in 2018; Macron admitted that Johnson had a “strategic plan”).

Amusingly, the French always invoke the “Anglo-Saxons”… When actually England and the USA are mostly… French, not just in deepest institutions, but down to the language (English being poorly pronounced French, mostly). So the British and US Americans are distinguished as “Anglo-Saxons”, as there are Bretons, because such is their difference.

***

If the US had joined the League of Nations, would WWII still have occurred?

Patrice Ayme, Decades of studying world history critically… among other things.

Let me change the question slightly into: If the US had respected its parent, France, and practiced other benevolent aspects of a naturally civilized nation, such as no racism, as its Gallo-Roman parent had tried to instill to the US, would WWII have occurred? Or, otherwise said: If The USA had acted decently after 1918, would the Nazis have disturbed the Peace?

The short of it: no.

World War Two happened, when it did, because the French Republic had more than enough with the Nazis. or, more generally, racist, militaristic, fascist, world-threatening Germany (the Germany which was destroyed in 1945).

Arras City hall, northern France, Destroyed By Invading German Fascists, 1914-1918

The French had been itching to go destroy Hitler since the latter invaded Spain in 1936 (with the help of the rogue general Franco, and fascist Italy). However, after agreeing to come to the rescue of the Spanish Republic, the French, led by PM Jewish Socialist Blum, were submitted to scathing threats from London and Washington, so they didn’t 9in 1929, before Nazism, Churchill threatened to bomb France, because France had made threatening noises about rearmament of Germany in violation of the Versailles Treaty, with the help of Portugal and the USSR; yes, that was 4 years before Nazism).

Then there was the 1938 Munich circus, followed by Hitler invading Czechoslovakia, Austria… The problem for France was lack of support by Britain (which however then decided to boost her air force through massive modernization).

After the fall of Spain (March 1939), the French stiffened the Polish spine, and added a chastised Great Britain in the appendix to the Franco-Polish treaty (“entente cordiale” would apply, so if france was at war with Germany, so would Britain be…)

Cornered, an enraged Hitler made Germany’s ultra secret alliance with fellow dictator Stalin official (it actually came all the way from 1916… before the Bolsheviks came to power).

Surely, now confronting the worldwide alliance of fascist Japan, Italy, Germany and the USSR, the French Republic won’t attack? But the French Republic was undeterred. At that point the Nazis were stuck. They couldn’t lose face: Hitler knew that the German generals had nearly staged a coup already.

What could have stopped the war? Those German generals: they had all the power… But many were themselves Nazis, so they were torn. Had the USA declared it sided with France, the generals would have known they were facing the infernal trio of France, Britain and their progeny, the USA, and, thus, Germany couldn’t win. So they would have had the excuse they wanted to stage a coup to save Germany, as they explained in 1937 to the (terrified) Anglo-Saxon ambassadors.

However the position of the USA in 1939 relative to Nazism was not clear: plutocrat FDR detested egalitarian, socialist France, and wanted to grab all her colonies to make them part of the US empire. Moreover US plutocrats were roaming all over Germany doing excellent business under Hitler, owning a large part of it: IBM had the monopoly of computing, for example, a gift of Hitler (ss “IBM and the Holocaust”). Finally, the US was a racist country, and much of Nazism was copied from US themes.

WWI Basilique Saint Quentin Northern France, Destroyed By Invading German Fascists, 1914-1918

The very idea of League of Nation was born in France (and then co-opted by hyper racist US president Wilson). So the entire “isolationist” posture, which didn’t apply to Nazi Germany (full of US plutocrats, US investments, US tech, etc.) was more directed against France… like the myth of the “crippling” reparations, launched by racist plutocrat Keynes, who was enraged that Eastern Europe had been freed from Germany by Versailles…

If the USA had been in the League, per se, would not have been enough, to prevent WW2. However, had the USA being just decent with its parent, France, the German generals would have seen their defeat was unavoidable, as the USA was siding with France.

And guess what, as I already said, but it’s worth repeating? The German generals asked, as early as 1937, the UK and US, to do just that, declare they would side with France. But the Anglo-Saxons didn’t. Instead, they told Hitler about the plot by the German generals… And FDR recalled his friend Dodd, US ambassador in Berlin, too friendly to his French peer, and too anti-Nazi. FDR replaced Dodd by a pro-Nazi, and did the same in Britain, installing Kennedy there… (More details in the book “The Garden of the Beasts”…)

Part of the city of Reims, 1918. Burned cathedral in the background. Destroyed by Invading German Fascists.

The German generals were not smart enough to realize they were going to become victims of the greatest bait and switch imaginable… Although the same exactly had happened in WW1…

Nowadays, the Germans have finally figured it all out, deep inside… Just when at the same time, half of the Brits lost it completely… History is the ride that never ends…

The most amazing part of this subject is that many individuals who believe they know it well, actually repeat the basic Nazi themes… And, even more interesting, those themes often only partly originated in Germany (even the famous “stab in the back” theme the Nazis used had been uttered first by a British general who had lashed back sarcastically at war criminal general and principal original Nazi, Ludendorff…)

Oh, by the way, the fact the deep maneuvers of the US Deep State and its sponsor, US plutocracy, the billionaires and their descendants hidden in Foundations, Boards, Institutes, “Charities”, “Think Tanks”, plutocratic universities and the like, have not been exposed in full, doesn’t just explain the amazing (however ephemeral) success of the monstrosity known as Nazism. More fundamentally, it explains much of the rise of global plutocracy and its attendant inequality, poverty, drug abuse, decay in education, healthcare and many basic services observed since…

German racist fascism had to be destroyed. It was not destroyed in 1918–1919… so it tried again to win in 1933–1945. If the USA had been involved critically in teaching civilization to Germany, following the less racist principles of France, Nazism couldn’t have happened. When the French government went to Washington to ask to do something about Hitler, it lost, because “isolationism” was the pretext the USA used to keep on instrumentalizing (one should even say weaponizing) Germany. Fundamentally the USA was not in the League for the same reason why the fascists left it. Greed.

(From request by Thomas Fugate…)

The following answer is interesting, because it was made by a US citizen in 2020, but one would have expected it by a Nazi in 1942. I quote it because this anti-wisdom, this Nazi wisdom, is still around, because nobody blocks it as the infamy it is::

Typical Northern French City. Germans refused to pay for this devastations and Neonazis whine to this day that the attempt to make Germany pay for part of the devastation it caused after invading Northern France… caused Nazism, and the killing of 20 million civilian, or more, plus six millions Jews. All the fault of the French who got the racist idea that Germans should repair part of what they had destroyed.

Let’s hear it from the typical Neonazi, by someone read thousands of times on the public space known as Quora. She was replying to my essay above:

Jane Weir

Please. The French had been looking to ruin Germany from 1919 onward. Their insistent demand for reparations from Germany (paid with loans from the US) was simply irresponsible. Their irredentism was as vital as any other factor for the rise of Hitler and German rearmament. At any time in the late 30s the French could have made a non-aggression pact with Germany, so that the 1940 invasion and occupation would have been completely avoided.

It’s ridiculous to think the French were “itching” to destroy Hitler because of German and Italian support for the Spanish Nationalists. The anti-Franco French tilt in 1936 was simply the policy of Leon Blum’s Popular Front government, and as you probably know it was ineffectual and short-lived, ending when Britain and France both agreed to remain neutral in the Spanish conflict.

France tried in 1939 to negotiate an alliance with the USSR, but this just encouraged Germany to outmaneuver them with their own non-aggression pact, neutralizing the Soviets and enabling Germany to swiftly conquer Poland and reincorporate the lands it had lost 20 years before. Even when France had the opportunity to invade Germany from the west in September 1939, they barely feinted over the borders, then withdrew and let their troops idle for six months. Whenever the French had a chance to make a blunder, they seized it with both hands.

***

Nazism Springs Eternal If No One Contradicts It:

Fascist racist Germany attacked the French Republic (without war declaration) on August 2 1914 (reminiscent of September 1, 1940) . the German dictatorship pursued with war crimes (including killing toddlers), as early as August 1914 (the surprise attack against the world was itself a war crime). When the German army retreated in 1918, it eradicated, destroyed and annihilated north-east France (the industrial basket of France).

If France had treated Germany as Germany did France, France would have annihilated the Ruhr, dynamiting all factories and machines, flooding the minutes, cutting telephones and electricity poles… it’s actually the refusal of the Second Reich Germans (“Weimar”) which caused the French intervention if 1923.

In the red zones (“zone rouge”) the areas most devastated by the invading fascist German army, human life was impossible, the ground being toxic, lethal, full of non exploded explosives, neurotoxic chemicals, etc.

The mistake done in 1918 was not to invade Germany, judge hang the top German racist fascist war criminal there, including the Kaiser, Von Moltke, Ludendorff. That would have got rid of the inspiring core of the Nazi party.

The real causes of Nazism are found in Arminius (traitor to the Roman army, civilization), Luther (a hater of Jews), Herder (a tribal fanatic), Hegel (world-empire delirium, an admirer of the fascist dictator Napoleon). All had been said when Goering, father of Goering made an holocaust of Namibians.

I have been a great reader of the basic Nazi texts, and thus very familiar with the self-serving arguments you use: I know another 50 along the same lines.

For example, you say: “[Germany .. pact [with] the Soviets and enable Germany to swiftly conquer Poland and reincorporate the lands it had lost 20 years before.” That’s cute, isn’t it? Many ignorant US citizens will agree with you, and thus will find yourself. However Poles will understand that you say Poland should not have been allowed to exist again, after generations of racist occupation, abuse and enslavement by Russia and Germany. Oh, you are in honorable company: Keynes sailed that racist boat, arguing in his miserable little book that Poles couldn’t manage an economy.

The Nazis proceeded to kill so many Poles that the population of Poland went from 35 millions in 1939 down to 24 millions in 1946.

In the end, in their dozens of thousands of extermination camps, the Nazis assassinated more than twenty million. To argue that this all happened because of the French is an argument the Nazis rolled out in 1945. There was never a question Britain would intervene when the fascists attacked the Republic in Spain. It’s British and US opposition which made the French decide not to intervene. Similarly in 1938, when France nearly went to war against Hitler allied to Czechoslovakia. In the end, France didn’t want more of a conflict with the US and UK.

Cognitive Derangement Syndrome Is Still Poorly Analyzed:

One should looking coldly at what happened to Germany in 1853-1945. Not just because the major traits of history have to be drawn. It’s not just a question of historical establishment of the truth. It is also a question of how come the cognition of supposedly civilized people, especially the Germans, the Nazis and the US public, could fail to this extent? The same forces are still at work, because they were never exposed, let alone condemned.

The plutocratic effect was central to the German tragedy: Germans thought and felt, just as they had been programmed by their masters… including being imprinted to be ruled by evil (helped along by the ideology of Prussian Slave Master, Immanuel Kant… who is viewed to this day as a great philosopher, because he promoted bling obedience to… slave masters.) Kant is admired, to this day, in “humanities” departments, precisely because he is so inhuman. So are his infernal consorts, Herder, Hegel, Marx… All of them, and lesser German philosophical critters, and quite a few French, admirers of the concept of dictatorship… thus of Hitler, Stalin, and their ilk. Thus De Beauvoir and Sartre, after doing the Nazi thing in 1940-44, did the Castro-Che Guevara-Mao thing in the 1960s: same general idea, dictatorship is good.

The Nazi De Beauvoir should have at least been condemned to be shot… Instead, now she is the object of a cult. Now a cult for Nietzsche is to be commended. Nietzsche hated the German drift into galloping racism and invasive militarism  he himself observed, and stridently condemned… As Einstein did (all too much) later. Nietzsche was good, because he resisted infamy, De Beauvoir was bad, because she promoted the idea that one should collaborate with infamy.

All those who, to this day, regret, as Jane Weir above, or Keynes and his admirers (Krugman) that Eastern Europe, including Poland and Czechoslovakia, was freed from German racist subjugation and exploitation are either plain Nazis, or then are still deeply affected by the Cognitive Derangement Syndrome which is behind the most infamous ideologies of history.

Some of this Cognitive Derangement Syndrome is fully in evidence in the USA today. Using gross maneuvers to manipulate public opinion, some of the principal enablers of the Iraq War are trying to make it so as to have their own establishment, long in power, gain the US presidency. How? Well, while US citizens whine about Martin Luther King, they forget to ask themselves what MLK would have thought about the invasion of Iraq, how he would acted against it… And who exactly enabled that atrocity. They are in your face everyday, just look.

President Obama recently, in an excellent pantomime, explained, in a few seconds that the Cognitive Derangement Syndrome emanated from a lack of attention span, and a disconnect between the gravity of what one did. What Obama said was that scapegoating should be serious business. Instead those young punks are just interested in changing channels, because they are fundamentally bored… and boring.

Relation with the preceding essay on why the Versailles Treaty, albeit good, was not so good as to destroy the racist, fascist ideology which affected Germany? Let me explain.

Scapegoating the French Republic for causing what she fought, racist fascism, is dishonest and correspond simply to people who know, deep down inside, that the US profited from Nazism, so they are anxious to accuse others to have caused it. When the truth is that, if the USA had lined itself up with France in 1939 (as the UK did), World War Two and its atrocities would have petered out.

Alarmism Saves Lives Better Than The Alternative, Sleeping At The Wheel. Climate Crisis Exploding Now

January 16, 2020

Faced with climatic Armageddon, deniers love to brandish irrelevances. Such as pretending there are no solutions… Or that none were presented, nor available. Something completely false: solutions could have been deployed 30 years ago, massively. Now the rise of cheap photovoltaics has made the hydrogen economy irresistible.

Consider:

TERMINAL GREENHOUSE CRISIS

A crash tech program is needed. It has to involve hydrogen.

And of course, one should use all possible solutions, simultaneously. American denial about climate in the Twentieth First Century is reminiscent of American denial when Nazism came around. As then, it was in the best interest of the US to make a bad situation worse: what nobody wants to say, and nobody dares say… except for those drunk on truth.

No deliberate motion ever happened without emotion.

Global Earth temperatures with baseline. Sure starting to look like an exponential… A mathematical proof that “Global Warming” is starting to feed on itself (because the emissions have stalled). Source: NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies | Anomalies shown relative to the average temperature between 1951 and 1980…when quite a bit of warming had already occured! So the limit to 1.5 degree centigrade Climate Sheep gloat about is to be taken with a very large quantity of salt… There is evidence human engineered global warming started thanks to mass herding, more than 7,000 years ago, boosting the Methane in the air (cows make CH4… not rabbits).

On 28 March 1939, the Spanish Republic surrendered Madrid to the Fascists and Nazis. Franco’s army was transported from Morocco by the Nazi air force, fueled by Texaco. (Because the Navy was Republican.)

At that point, Britain saw the error of her way, and decided to join the French Republic in blocking the Nazis (and was added in the notes of the Franco-Polish treaty). However, all was quiet on the American front, as the Nazis’ racism fit well with US racism, and besides, Nazi Germany was a US business province.

Now, right, for the US Deep Private-Public state, the situation was perfect and getting better. However, at the very least, US Jews should have got alarmed. And although US losses in World War Two were neglectable relative to some European countries and empires, they nevertheless amounted to one US citizen dead, out of 300.

***

Now we are facing an incomparable calamity, the Sixth Mass Extinction… But it’s not viewed as such, because of the lack of alarm. The gentle words are supposed to evoke it:…”Global Warming” (why not global soothing, as we are at it?)

***

Alarmism saves lives. Had the USA declared war to the Nazis in June 1940, France would not have ceased fire, and, in the end, the deliberate massacre by the Nazis of dozens of millions of civilians and war prisoners, would not have happened (because the France would have advertised this massacre as a legitimate state… at worst, from North Africa). Also neither Italy, nor Japan would have entered war on the side of the Nazis (being scared of the USA, and now definitively knowing the USA was in the war).

Alarmism saves lives. I am a mountaineer, and climber. Some of my best friends were top notch professional mountaineers, or climbers. A difference with me was my caution, due to my latent alarmism… In spite of my alarmism, I miraculously survived a giant rock avalanche, falling off a giant death gully, and then stopping my fall before yanking my partner out: even alarmism won’t protect from the hand of fate. In any case, my less cautious friends died, and, in one case at least I know I would not have made the mistake (I refuse to engage in possible slab avalanche terrain, once identified)

CLIMATE SCIENTISTS ARE NOT ALARMIST ENOUGH:

Scientists try to sound reasonable, and thus warn their ultimate paymasters, politicians, that temperatures will rise. But they are prudent, and don’t want to sound alarmist, so they eschew dangerous inputs they can’t predict, roll out averages.

However, this is not what they should be doing. In aviation, or rocket science, engineers try to determine the  worst possible case… to avoid it.

Climate scientists, when warning about possible climate evolutions, should consider the worst possible cases. They are not doing this presently.

What is the worst possible case? That the present warming will trigger natural heating mechanisms, and other disasters.

First, there are billions of tons of methane ice on the Siberian continental shelf, which is gigantic. At some point, when the ocean is warm enough, they will release. Methane is more than 25 times more entrapping to infrared than CO2.

Second, and worse, the CO2 going massively in the ocean, turns to carbonic acid and kills oxygen making plankton. That, in combination with increased oxidation will bring a decrease of the oxygen content of the atmosphere. Oxygen content is already collapsing in the ocean, to the point of creating “dead zones” which fishes such as marlins have to avoid, lest they die of asphyxiation.

So this climate crisis is not just about “warming” something globally. What we are witnessing, and causing, is a mass extinction through a collapse of the biosphere, as happened last 65 millions years ago. It would be good if scientists said it straight, as it is… and evoke the worst possible case (increasing likely, as coal burning is augmenting in many countries)… Instead of pretending we are living in the best possible world, just as the Titanic passengers lived in the best possible ship… after it hit the iceberg, and everything worked just as well as it did minutes prior.

We should use what I call “Catastrophic Calculus” to evaluate the climate Crisis… the same sort of calculus made when building rockets, or planes. It makes sense: Earth is our spaceship… And we have only one. Failure is not an option. Earth can’t burn, but it will, and it has started to do so, because the same clowns with the same reduced cognitivo emotional mindset, keep on ruling.

MORAL DERANGEMENT SYNDROME: Obsess About Red Herrings To Hide The Real Problems

Just contemplate criminal against humanity Nancy Pelosi claim that “Trump betrayed the nation”. Maybe Trump did, it’s very far from clear. What is clear, though, is that Pelosi betrayed humanity by enabling “George” to keep on lying about his pretext to invade Iraq… and thus foster his real aim, which was to destroy Iraq (as an oil producer). Those who take for granted that Pelosi didn’t betray humanity when plotting to destroy Iraq have much in common with those Germans for whom Hitler was morally elevating: they suffer terminal moral-cognitive disorder, refusing absolutely to inquire about a catastrophe they caused.

However, most “Democrats” consider that Pelosi is a moral figure, and she is the first to claim that elevated position. Yet, as she is “impeaching” Trump, she is doing nothing about the Mass Extinction out there. So Pelosi and her followers and admirers impose a value system where obsessing about one individual is incomparably more important than putting measures in place to mitigate what is going on, the entire planet burning.

The inchoate maximal holocaust out there, this Mass Extinction, is, at this point, first of all, a moral failure.

Thanks Coal Black Hearts: New Ocean Heat Record

January 14, 2020

The heat in the world’s oceans reached a new record level in 2019, demonstrating “irrefutable and accelerating” heating of the planet. 2019 is also the second hottest year ever, after 2016 (heated up by an El Nino). A lot of facts are irrefutable and accelerating, nowadays, but, just as when World War Two was coming, the more so, the more glumly the ostriches bury their heads in the sand.

The world’s oceans are the clearest measure of the climate emergency because they absorb more than 93% of the heat trapped by the greenhouse gases emitted by fossil fuel burning, forest destruction and other (in)human activities.

Oceans absorb most of the CO2. However they do this much less now, basically because the upper layers are getting saturated, and stagnant, as ocean upwelling is short circuited by hot water on top.

This slowing of ocean mixing has another effect. It stifles the transport of nutrients such as nitrate and phosphate from deeper waters to the surface, which diminishes the growth of phytoplankton, which store carbon in their tissue as a product of photosynthesis. The sinking biological material takes the carbon (from CO2) with it to the deep ocean when the organisms die. It’s another way that carbon can be removed from the ocean surface… However, this is faltering, all the more as carbonic acid (from CO2) gnaws on plankton. Altogether, oxygen production and CO2 absorption by the oceans are diminishing. All such diminutions could lead into mass extinction: actually vast swathes of oceans are now going oxygen free. Fishes such as Marlins now avoid deep diving (their speciality) in many areas, because they would suffocate if they did.

The probability of an exponential explosion in temperature is heating up: that graph above is starting to look like an exponential, thus growing proportional to itself.

The latest analysis commented here, shows the past five years are the top five warmest years recorded in the ocean and the past 10 years are also the top 10 years on record. The amount of heat being added to the oceans is equivalent to every person on the planet running 100 microwave ovens all day and all night. It’s also equal to exploding 3.6 billion Hiroshima size bombs… in the last 25 years.

Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing used statistical methods to interpolate heat levels in the few places where there was no data, such as under the Arctic ice cap. An independent analysis of the same data by the US National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration shows that same increasing heat trend.

It’s ironic that the news that the oceans are heating up ever more, ever faster, come from China (is China becoming more democratic?) China’s coal production, nearly 4 billion tons, has never been so high:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-china-economy-output-coal/china-june-coal-output-hits-record-high-as-miners-ramp-up-ahead-of-summer-idUSKCN1UA07O

Coal is the most CO2 generating fuel (as it has little hydrogen, that is, methane). Basically, 4 billion tons of Chinese coal burns into 12 billion tons of CO2.

Some will scoff that yours truly is panicking. But I am not. I find the situation extremely interesting in all sorts of way, from the physics, to the ethical and psychological. It’s extraordinary to have a seat at the theater playing the greatness madness, ever. Simply, the catastrophe is becoming ever more likely.

According to my computations, one degree centigrade of temperature increase corresponds to moving towards the poles by 200 kilometers. When that touches the Polar Circle at 66 degrees latitude, each degree will correspond to a reduction of the polar regions of 20% Hence their albedo, the reflecting power of white snow. Some have computed that the disappearance of sea ice would reduce Earth albedo so much that global temperatures would go up one full degree centigrade, just from that.

Well before that, the Methane Clathrates should release catastrophically.

See the pretty Methane Ice pictures in:

https://patriceayme.wordpress.com/2009/11/18/2-c-is-too-much/

The vast, and shallow Siberian ocean is full of them. Methane, CH4, has a greenhouse warming potential more than 25 times CO2. I compute that CH4 and other man-made gases contribute nearly 20% to global warming.

Estimate of the ocean energy budget.
The energy budgets are relative to the 1958–1962 base period. The integrated net radiative imbalance from Allan et al. (65) estimated from the TOA is included in yellow and is multiplied by 0.93 to be comparable with the ocean energy budget. The TOA radiation is adjusted to the value of OHC within 2013–2014. The dashed gray lines encompass the 95% confidence interval. The shallower, the warmer the ocean is getting. The little volcanoes at the bottom degree the three largest volcanic eruptions during the period, which lowered the global temperatures considerably. Pinatubo decreased temps by half a degree centigrade…

Coal has never been doing better: the fraud known as Dr. Merkel is shutting down the German nuclear electricity production, because when she goes to bed, she sees Fukushimas in her head, and to better show the world how to smother us all with lignite, the worst coal.

India also needs ever more coal: oil  and uranium, it has none (and, differently from Germany, is not as advanced; so India is excused). Speaking of which… Scared by Fukushima, like a child by a big, bad ogre, an irrational Japan is giving up on nuclear power.

Japan got into World War Two of completely irrational reasons: besides the fact that it was a horrible thing to do, it could only lose. Same problem with Germany, Italy. But there are countries where deep irrationality is a national tradition… under a cover of cold reason. Japan has no good reason to discontinue nuclear (instead of developing new tech)… Only a reason to move out of Fukushima style (generation II) nuclear reactors… Especially without proper emergency generators. Japan, Germany and the like could have developed thorium reactors… So could France, Britain…  Coal kills already thousands of Japanese a year, whereas peaceful uranium kills basically none…

Anyway, so Japan is moving out of 1950s nuclear technology, so Japan will need… Coal. Yes, if you don’t like the 1950s, go back to the 1850s. Any logic makes sense, for idiots. Ever more coal. But Japan has none.

***

So where is Japan going to get all this coal to smother people and kill the oceans? Where from, the equipment for this Pearl Harbor against life itself?  Hey, equally short-sighted Australia! Coal, direct from the incontinently Burning Continent! Auschwitz used to be a discreet affair, but now the generalized Holocaust (Holo-Caust = Whole-Burn), is as public as it gets. It just doesn’t matter, all these wars which happen, after all the forests burn, when one has no brains, happiness will be reached by “just adding a few shrimps on the barbie” (as long as there are still shrimps).

Faust sold his soul to the Devil, to get himself stuff, but Australians don’t have such luxury anymore. Aussies prefer to burn their forest, houses, lands to give money to the plutocrats they adore: hey, not everybody has a soul to sell!
