Your Money And Your Life? Is Obamacare Constitutional?

October 13, 2020

Obamacare is officially the “Affordable Care Act” (ACA). ACA’s basic mechanism is to use public funds, to pay for private insurance contracted with private, FOR-PROFIT companies… ACA is a transfer of public funds from care to greed. From taxes to plutocrats exploiting health.

The Obama administration had already done this with its TARP program. I called TARP scathingly Transferring Assets to Rich People

Obamacare in particular, and Obama in general, kill: look at the dates carefully… No wonder it was necessary for health care plutocrats to make people obsess about Trump… To distract from this sort of graphs… Obamacare killed, because it made healthcare more expensive and less accessible for 85% of the population… And it didn’t change much of anything for the lower 15%… By the way I am NOT saying that all the pieces of Obamacare are bad. Of course not, there are lots of very good parts in Obamacare. I invented the expression “Medicare For All”… and MFA is what all other advanced countries basically have…

Now, transferring public funds to private companies can be legal and constitutional under emergency circumstances: when the private economy is collapsing, through no reason of its own making, the government should intervene. This is the whole idea of COVID stimulus.

However the public to private transfer of funds of ACA was meant as a definitive solution, a chronic transfer of public funds to private companies.

The Obama administration practice of sending public funds to the world’s wealthiest persons explains why inequality became the highest under Obama-Biden. Obama loved to express his admiration for Reagan. However, he was less of a socialist than even Reagan. When 3,000 banks failed under Reagan-Bush, Reagan nationalized them (and then helped them). Using public funds on public property is constitutional. Doing what Obama-Biden did to give public funds to private, for profit enterprises is not constitutional. But it no doubt explains why, within three years of their “public” service, Obama and Biden could afford between themselves five giant mansions.

P/S: Under Obamacare, profits of for profit health insurance companies doubled. The average payments for healthcare by the average US family augmented by $7,900 a year…
