Putin declared that, if he faced defeat he would rather turn the world to “radioactive ashes”. Sunday February 27 2022, Putin, accordingly, put his nuclear forces on high alert “special combat readiness“. The mad criminal against humanity keeps on escalating… That’s what criminals against humanity do. That’s how Hitler and his collaborators killed 5% of humanity.
All this was obvious more than a decade ago, and I wrote thousands of pages about how holocausts evolved, and why Putin was an holocaust in the making, the worst of them all. Putin will not stop. That’s why he has to be stopped. The present crisis was born from the weakness of the leaders of representative democracies. Not just the ridiculously weak Biden. Even further back France (and her poodle Germany) vetoed the entry of Ukraine in NATO.
The first mistake was disarming Ukraine’s enormous nuclear arsenal (5,000 warheads) and transferring it all to the Kremlin. This transfer did not take into account the possibility of a madman heading the Kremlin…. When actually the history of Russia is first of all the history of mad dictators, and the madder and the most terrible they are, the most successful, starting with Ivan The Terrible. Ruling families killed each other happily and within. Ivan and Peter the Great killed their sons (through torture in the latter’s case). Catherine II the Great, a German, egged by her mother in law, probably killed her husband the Czar, and then went on, with her lover Potemkin, to conquer Ukraine.
Evil is a side of humanity which is deeply entangled with the nature of humanity. Sadly, humanity, or, most probably all and any advanced extra-terrestrial intelligence, should there be one, could not have evolved without evil. Evil stabilizes the ecology by culling the dominant species.
An example: If Putin kills 7 billion people, he would help terrestrial ecology, as simple as that. Not trying to say that killing 7 billion humans is the only way to help ecology. Civilization, but not Putin, can do better.
We have seen that story before: in the 1930s, all the world fascists united, creating the Axis, invading the Spanish Republic, and then many other countries. Those fascists autocrats and their cronies were initially independent of each other.
As I explained, to destroy Putin, it may be enough to brand him, As Soon As Possible, for what he is, potentially the greatest criminal against humanity. That he did not reduce us yet all to “radioactive ashes” in the style of Martha Goebbels, who killed her six children does not disprove the fact Putin is potentially the greatest criminal against humanity. Ever.
Tyrant Putin produced today a video of himself talking with his Defense Minister, Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoigu, a pseudo-general. The defense minster breathed so heavily, you could see his chest inflate and deflate. His eyes were clearly coming out of their orbits. His gaping mouth was searching for words, but he couldn’t find them. This was a man, this Putin Defense Minister, terrorized by his boss, obviously wondering what was coming next.
The only plausible way out of the crisis we are in is to get rid of Putin.
NATO should consider itself at war with the Kremlin. If we lose Ukraine, we will lose everything, because Putin will not stop. He went too far already. He has probably already tripled his bodyguard. But all Russians need to know that humanity will be grateful if they do their duty, and that is not to obey, and if possible destroy, the nuclear tyrant.

Fail to obey the tyrant, all over the world, and that’s what you will get. Black smoke rises from a military airport in Chuguyev near Kharkiv on February 24, 2022. – Russian Nuclear Tyrant Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” in Ukraine … sounding exactly like the Nazis with their special operations and Zonderkommando (special commando in charge of extermination) finally, the tyrant’s foreign minister warned that a “full-scale invasion” was underway. Hatred will unify a country, any country, because all the people will hate each other, and they will have not just this in common… What emotion has greater consequences than hatred? Not even love compares! Indeed, love rarely kills, but hatred readily does. In a most lethal sense, hatred is the ultimate emotion. If one cares about life, hatred is the most important emotion. Thus human psychobiology is finely tuned to hatred.
At least such seems to be the idea of the plutocratic establishment (which manipulates the media). As we can readily see it, by looking at whole human history, it’s not really a new idea: hatred is probably the oldest social manipulation technique. Fabricating it carefully is most common.
In 2020 some US media controlled by very wealthy people claimed all Trump voters, 75 millions of them, were KKK, Nazis… Such ridiculous and damaging hateful hysteria is a form of pernicious violence, that must stop… Legally, it has a name: fighting words. Unification by hatred seems to be the deepest emotion, and why shouldn’t it be? Nothing has greater consequences…
The Deep Global Plutocracy and its media are keen to steer hatred to their advantage… Because as hatred is the ultimate emotion, if one controls and directs it, one can have the greatest effect. Pretending for more than 4 years that Trump was elected by Putin kindled hatred (whereas, in truth, it is Obama who let Putin start to invade Ukraine, and Trump who provided the anti-tank weapons to stop Putin… in Ukraine!)
Unification through hatred works: history is full of such examples. A particular case, a baby case, which has received academic accolades, is scapegoatism. A French philosopher, Girard, made a whole glorious career at Stanford and the French Academy simply for describing “scapegoatism” as a most significant driver of human behavior… Instead I suggest to go much further: hatred is the ultimate driver of human behavior… The greatest unifier.
When nuclear tyrant, Vlad the Mad, decided to destroy a democracy, he hoped to unify Russia under his vile and sordid subjugation. Putin used hatred to do so, calling Ukrainian leaders and a significant part of the population “Neo-Nazis” and “drug addicts“. Putin hoped hatred would be a great unifier. But it works the other way too: when the hateful nuclear tyrant decided to subjugate Ukraine, he unified Ukraine, and the world, through the hatred his infamy and menace caused.
Hating monsters such as Putin is a good emotion. It is positive and constructive. It gives us the strength we need to become heroes. Hitler was destroyed thanks to hatred. Hitler’s monstrosity was long greatly hidden. Not so with Vlad the Mad. We should hate even more a criminal against humanity who threatened repeatedly to turn all of humanity to “radioactive ashes“.
Putin Delendus Est!
Patrice Ayme
Body of dead servant of the evil Vlad the Mad, next to three destroyed Putin armored vehicles in Ukraine, February 15, 2022…
Putin threatened, several times, to turn the planet to “RADIOACTIVE ASHES“. This is the first time an individual is willing and capable to doing so. Humanity is facing a danger “never seen before in your history” … To use Putin’s own words… Indeed, Putin is right on that one: never has a leader threatened to destroy humanity for ethnic reasons. Even the Nazis did not sink that low: the Nazis had huge stores of nerve gas; they did not use them, even as they lost the war and their lives.
This unprecedented menace to humanity fostered by one man with a suddenly puffy face, needs to be answered with unprecedented measures. Putin uses respect to order Russians around, and implement his will. This respect for the leader is crucial in all countries, but particularly in a dictatorship. Without this respect for the leader, a modern country cannot wage war. This respect has to be undermined. To destroy the respect Putin enjoys, Putin has to be branded legally with what he is: a CRIMINAL AGAINST HUMANITY. This will make all individuals who have to obey Putin think twice.
Using an infaming label works. Putin himself knows how valuable such a method of public shame and condemnation is, because he is using it: whoever tries to resist him will be called a Nazi and destroyed. The insult is grotesque: that Ukraine needs to be de-Nazified, because of the genocide against ethnic Russians. However grotesque the insult worked: many people in the West, or Russia believe that Ukraine is ruled by Nazis, committing genocide. Never mind that Ukraine’s president is targetted for assassination by Putin. The president of Ukraine, Zelenskyy, is an ethnic Russian, his first language was Russian, and he is a Jew. Zelenskyy is the only Jewish head of state outside of Israel.
This is a world war, and a nuclear one: Putin was very clear. This is zero surprising: Putin was fully hallucinating already in 2014. Unfortunately, the leaders in the West are ignorant, or accomplices:
How could the Nazi world war and holocaust have been terminated early? By killing Hitler. Potentially that could have saved dozens of millions of people: the war became deadlier, the longer it lasted.
Informing a country that its leaders are viewed as criminals against humanity is crucial. The method should have been used against the Nazis, it would have made history more palatable. German officers, pistol loaded, met with Hitler several times, determined to kill him. However in the end they did not do it, because they lacked not courage, but moral certainty. If Hitler had been branded as a war criminal, worldwide by respected authorities, those German officers would have done it. Dozens of millions of civilians and years of suffering would have been prevented. Instead, as Hitler was President-Chancellor even those who wanted to kill Hitler to save Germany thought it was morally wrong to do so.
Now we have the ICC, an institution of the UN. Also democratic leaders could brand Putin for what he is: potentially the world’s most dangerous criminal history has ever seen.
If Putin is branded a criminal against humanity, Russian generals will realize they are engaged in a mass criminal enterprise. No doubt it will make them less enthusiastic to obey their orders. And maybe one will make his duty for humanity, and will be more lucky than the more than a dozen German army officers who tried personally to kill Hitler, face to face [1].
The representative democracies tried to show good will to a monster. That was a strategic mistake. Good will doesn’t work with serial killer rapists. Only brute force does. The democracies should have sent vast quantities of anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons to Ukraine, a fellow democracy. Yes, corrupt, they say, and they nag. But aren’t they all?
Others will moan that legal proceedings take time. However, opening a judicial inquiry on whom is potentially the greatest criminal “ever seen in your history” takes not much time, and should already have been instigated. Also, making accusations of war criminality by authorities, elected or not, moral or not, could be done immediately. Biden did this a bit, but he did not go far enough.

Worse than Hitler, because he invades for extending empire (Hitler wanted a connection to East Prussia… now occupied by Russia)… while threatening all of humanity (something Hitler would hae liked to do, but couldn’t, and didn’t!)
Putin ballistic missile strike on Kyiv a metropolitan area of four million people.
[1] In the Walkirie Operation, the coup against Hitler in July 1944, only one officer carried the bomb, Claus Graf von Stauffenberg. Eigth got killed, Hitler escaped death by a weird miracle. However, in several other attempts earlier, officers, all the way to the highest (field marshall) had tried to kill Hitler. One bomb’s mechanism froze in the plane. Several times, Hitler went too fast through planned visits. In several of these attempts, officers were determined to die to kill the tyrant, embracing him while activating explosives. A gigantic (more than 2 meters) blue eyed blonde aryan officer, a poster boy for the ideal Nazi, even carried on his back a land mine…
The Nazis executed more than 5,000 German army officers after Walkirie.
Hitler had some plausible gripes: the Sudeten, and the Dantzig corridor, which cut Germany in two (not saying that those gripes should have been solved by invasion; Poland was ready to talk about Dantzig). Now the situation is worse: the motives of Putin are purely ethnic and an alternate version of history, the opposite of what happened.
Share this: Please do share, ideas are made to spread and enlighten!
Putin claims NATO threatens Russia, but he also complained bitterly, among many other grotesque assertions, that the West occupied Poland, causing him grief… that happened under Charlemagne, before the Vikings invaded and created Rus… In Ukraine, around Kyiv. That was even before the invention of the Cyrillic alphabet (which was made by two Bulgarian brothers to fight the Franks culturally)… That was three centuries before the schism between Catholicism and Orthodoxy.
Putin has such propaganda control in his realm, that he thinks he can get away with the biggest enormities in his fanciful alternate reality.
So Putin’s claims against NATO are a coverup. Putin marches us to nuclear war, no less. That, actually, is, obviously, his plan. A little bit of nuclear war will insure his rule, ad vitam eternam. Maybe his daughters can succeed him. So he hopes. Hey, he really loves his daughters!
Putin has started forcefully a conversation with civilization. Putin has to be answered in the only language he understands and respects, overwhelming military force. Because Putin will keep on escalating, he will have no choice. He went too far, he crossed too many Rubicons, with too many institutions, including international law and the United Nations. When Putin describes, say, what happened in Kosovo as an attack of NATO against the rightful rule of Moscow, and the Slavic tribe, he is describing a liberation of a small subjugated Muslim population north of Greece, and just east of Italy, as an offense against the right of Slavs to enslave, as he sees it… Putin went off the deep end, for all to see, by pretending that Russians are the victims of a genocide, in real time, now. He ominously declared his intent to pursue whom he calls anti-Russian criminals, throughout Ukraine, as far away as Odessa and beyond.
And, of course, Putin went too far in his mismanagement of the Russian socioeconomy.
Putin’s reading of history is similar to Hitler’s: the biased invention of an ethnic subjugation, a national victimization which requires rightful redress.
In truth, Putin controls what is still, by far, the largest empire on Earth, larger by more than 70% than China, the US or Canada.
Putin goes even further than Hitler in two ways: first he claims that Russians are presently victim of a “genocide” an invention so grotesque that Hitler did not even try it. Second, Putin and his main propagandist, have threatened to reduce the world (no less!) to “radioactive ashes”. This is the case of the first historical dictator who, threatened by extinction as tyrants tend to be, can, and does, threaten all of civilization. It goes without saying that, by threatening the world, Putin also threatens the Russian elite (who then will try to flee).
It is time for no holds barred. Nazism was defeated from overwhelming force against German cities. In retrospect, it was a mistake not to have accused the Nazi leaders of crime against humanity, early in their monstruous adventure. As the top Nazi leadership was an association of thugs, it should have been treated as such. Once, in the Fourteenth Century, French King Philippe IV Le Bel, and his vassal, the King of England, decided that the Pope was not behaving appropriately. The French state issued an international warrant of arrest against the Pope. Philippe sent his most trusted right hand man, a (non-noble) lawyer, at the head of special forces, to arrest the Pope in Rome. The Pope was arrested.
War of aggression is a recognized war crime. In this particular case, it is blatant: Putin said, many times, in many ways, that Ukraine should not exist. This is different from the George W Bush attack against Saddam Hussein, which did not aim at the annihilation of Iraq (I was against it, but that’s besides the point).
An international judicial procedure should be started against Putin for war of aggression and making nuclear war threats (I long advocated one against George W Bush… precisely to avoid the scenario we are in now; the crimes Bush committed are slight, relative to those Putin has said he will commit…)
This war has to be made personal, because it is personal. It is really the case of one unhinged madman armed with nuclear weapons who has decided to distract himself from the aging decrepitude encroaching upon himself, by making his own person the most important enemy civilization ever had. That way, he can bask in the terror he instills the world with.
All associates and families of the tyrant and his associates should be arrested. Russian Tyrant Vladimir Putin’s daughter Maria Putina amusing herself in the Netherlands where she owns an expensive penthouse on top of a high rise. Russian Tyrant Vladimir Putin is said to be fuming after Ukrainian media published a photograph of one of his daughters. Although the American president’s family are very much in the public eye, the Russian Tyrant keeps all information about his family a closely guarded secret. They almost never feature in Russian media, and the last time a Russian journalist asked the tyrant a question about his family he not only did not get an answer… but he lost his job. There is reportedly a team constantly monitoring picture usage of Putin’s family so it was no surprise when a photograph of Maria Putina, 29, who lives in Holland, appeared on a Facebook page and a short while later the image quickly vanished again. But it was up there long enough to have been noticed by Ukrainian media, and it was quickly republished together with an article about her on the news website Obozrevatel. A Russian media insider confirmed that the publication would have made the Russian tyrant furious and it was well known that pressure was put on the media in the region to keep his family life private. Putin is separated from Maria’s former Aeroflot airline stewardess mother Lyudmila, but still remains close to his daughters Maria, and Yekatrina, 30. According to the article Maria who has a degree in economics lives in Holland after marrying a Dutch man. The couple had their holiday honeymoon in Greece. Maria’s sister meanwhile is single and has reportedly been dating a Korean man. She spends a lot of time in Korea rather than in the West.
I repeat: All associates and families of the nuclear tyrant and his associates and the families of his associates should be arrested, and their properties seized, same as Assad’s family, for example his ultra wealthy niece… Putin’s violonist is known to have a wealth of at least two billion dollars invested in the West. An ex-husband of one of Putin’s daughters is the youngest billionaire in Russia, and so on… There are 498 oligarchic billionaire families, all of them pro-Putin, historically speaking (some famous oligarchs who didn’t agree with Putin early on, were destroyed, and, or, jailed, and expropriated). They were crucial in Putin’s ascent, but now the maximally evil one is powerful enough to not depend upon his ex-sponsors.
Let’s stay legal, some will cackle desultorily. Indeed. But international has to adapt to the nature of the crime. Turning the world to “radioactive ashes” is more serious than anything the Nazis did. Threatening the planet with turning into “radioactive ashes” is a threat of an unprecedented magnitude. It should be reacted against with unprecedented rigor.

P/S 1: On Sunday, 2/20/2022, German media noticed the presence of the “Graceful”, Putin’s 82 meter long yacht, in Hamburg’s port, next to a German corvette under construction. The yacht left the next day, taking the Kiel canal from the North Sea to the Baltic. Why was not it seized? After all, it’s the yacht of a war criminal (war of aggression is a crime against humanity). The very fact the yacht fled so fast means that the Russians know well who they are, criminals against humanity, and all they own should be confiscated. Lavrov is the new Von Ribbentrop, Putin the new Hitler, etc.
Presently the Luna (112 meters long) and the Dilbar (world’s largest yacht, 156 meters long; owner Alicher Ousmanov) are other Russian plutocrats’ yachts in Hamburg…

P/S 2: A reflection of the corruption in the Putinreich is that Russians file more complaints with the European Court of Human Rights than the citizens of any of the 46 countries that make up the Council of Europe, 13,645 complaints in 2020. The figure for the U.K. was 124. Putin is the ultimate violator of human rights in Russia.

Aristotle was at the core of a handful of extremely close friends who cratered Athenian and Greek democracies: Alexander, Antipater, Craterus (!) Those guys hunted lions in the nude. Aristotle was the core, because he was the teacher. Aristotle played the exact same role with a handful of young or hyper powerful Macedonian oligarchs as Socrates did with a few Athenian golden youths who ended as Athens’ dictators.
When one is the most trusted friend of an absolute, most famous king, Philippe, and teacher of a world conqueror, Alexander, no wonder one would recommend, as Aristotle did, monarchy as the best government. Worse: Aristotle could have fought for democracy, instead he fought against it, and Demosthenes in particular.
One should suspect that Aristotle’s hatred of democracy penetrates much of his writings in sociology, psychology, politics, ethics…
One should not approve of the idea that all philosophy is made of appendages to Plato. On the face of it, Plato understood nothing to plutocracy, he sounded worse than Putin himself:
Socrates, Plato and Aristotle prospered under democracy, interpreting their freedom as the right to kill it in the guise of free speech.
For example, well before Plato’s birth, Aspasia, arguably the greatest philosopher, as she introduced the idea of Open Society (one talks only about her less intelligent mouthpiece, the Athenian fateful leader and general, Pericles, her husband). Plato himself recognized the importance of mathematics, and Aristotle of the scientific method. That means implicitly that they recognized the supremacy of older thinkers. Socrates recognized that, in the matter of love he was not an expert. Instead, a female philosopher was the expert, Diotima, a teacher of Socrates, a priestess, and a philosopher of love.
Now we have a nuclear tyrant threatening the world, Putin. Plato admired and befriended the tyrant of Syracuse. Would Plato have admired and befriended Putin? After all, Putin is a homicidal tyrant, and Plato is on the record for loving those…
Probably not: Putin is obsessed by the Slavs, Orthodox Christianism, and Russians … none of which existed in Plato’s Time. Plato was obsessed with the Greeks.Aristotle, who was not really just a Greek, fled Athens after the death of Alexander, because he knew Athenian democracy would put him to death, as an accomplice of the Macedonian storm which was coming Alexander was partial to Athens, even Athenian democracy… not his successor Antipater… Athens’ democracy lasted around 200 years. Its demise is dated to August 2, 338 BCE, at three in the afternoon, when the Macedonians led by Philippe overwhelmed the Athenians, the Thebans and their allies in the battle of Chaeronea.
In any case, the long love story with the enemies of democracy, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, prevented the rise of full direct democracy, and thus helped make a tyrant like Putin respectable enough to enrich him.
And thus, now the world is threatened with the most terrible war ever. A war waged for tribal reasons: the rule of tribal Slav Orthodoxy… One unbalanced man is threatening the world, without any pretense to a more advanced civilization, which the USSR had. Tribalism is, of course, a pretext. Putin is just for extending his own rule, because he burned his bridges long ago. If he loses power, he will lose his life.
Time to make this personal, because it is. Aristotle reserved the word “democracy” for anarchic mob rule. He also excluded greed as a motivation for conflict: “Men engage in factional conflict through fear, both when they have committed injustice and are frightened of paying the penalty, and when they are about to suffer injustice and wish to forestall it.”
Right, but not only. Men engage in conflict for greed too. In devious ways, Aristotle glorified the aristocracy, excluding the rest:
“We must lay it down that the association which is a state exists not for the purpose of living together but for the sake of noble actions.”
That’s obviously a silly statement… or then one has to interpret “noble” etymologically, from “to know”. The first cities were established because they enabled an easier life. Not to say Aristotle was bad, far from it:
“A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious.”
This is what Putin does: he displays great reverence to Orthodox Christianism, and to pan-Slavism, led by Moscow, on a mythical scale. So great is his deference that any attempt against it, he claims to be “genocide against Russia“.
Tyranny is the fruit of a gradual process of development. So wrote Plato and Aristotle, who were in a very good position to know, both having taught and befriended tyrants. Greek poetry and historiography agreed. If tyranny is, by definition, unconstitutional and illegitimate rule, then there may be no clear moment at which one ceases to be a general or king or president and becomes a tyrant. Instead, the tyrant gradually strengthens his rule and develops the negative attributes associated with absolute and illegitimate power. Initially good and popular governments can become despotic and unpopular: tyranny is progressive. One then needed some measure of democracy to have a notion of tyranny: The odium now associated with the word turranos grew, as democracy grew (Sanskrit and classical Chinese have no equivalent term).
The Kaiser, Lenin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot were just warnings. Now tyranny can become much more brutal and sudden, thanks to nukes, and their complete obedience to just one nut, the nut who pushes the button. One nut has bet that democracy will fold, because democracy does not want to be nuked now. But democracy is smart enough to figure out that, if it does not go to war now, it will be nuked tomorrow, and it will be worse..
Biden has been outbid.
Nukes and nuts: it was bound to happen. War is going to focus minds, finally. Our lives are becoming a succession of events so unfortunate that, although long predicted, their very horror and difference from the ordinary made them, somehow, look unlikely, so we did not prepare.
Nukes and nuts: thoroughly undigestible, but we have to swallow it.
Socrates, Plato and Aristotle weakened the concept of democracy. This is why their works were preserved (sort of: only lecture notes in the case of Aristotle, and gossip for Socrates)… by enthusiastic fascism friendly oligarchs and their servants. Now we pay the price, because our semi-fascist regimes made goo goo eyes to the thoroughly fascist Putin.
The EU must “GET RID OF” the gas provided by Putin and his henchmen, the head of the European Commission said on Wednesday February 16, 2022. Let’s call it TYRANNICAL GAS.
Speaking to a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, (German born, polyglot and polycultural) Ursula von der Leyen, president of theEuropean Commission, criticized Russia for “weaponizing the energy issue” in its conflict with the EU and its associate, Ukraine. (The European Union has three presidents right now presiding over different part of the European government; the rotating presidency is held by Macron, that is, France, just as it was when Putin invaded Georgia, a weird coincidence…)
Arguing that Moscow is not a credible energy supplier anymore since Gazprom restricted natural gas supplies to Europe in the last few months despite high demand, while claiming it didn’t, von der Leyen noted that the EU has since stepped up efforts to diversify its energy imports, securing more liquified natural gas supplies from international partners.
She claimed that the Union possessed enough gas reserves for the winter in case Russia disrupts the supply.
“We must diversify our energy sources, to get rid of the dependency of Russian gas, and heavily invest in renewable energy sources,” she said, asking the bloc to draw lessons from the current crisis with Russia.
Turning to the rising tensions between Russia on one side and Ukraine and the rest of the West on the other, von der Leyen said: “Ukraine today is a stronger, freer, and more sovereign country than in 2014. This is precisely why the Kremlin is threatening it again,” she observed.
Von der Leyen said Moscow sent “conflicting signals” over the past two days by announcing the withdrawal of troops from border regions, even as Russian lawmakers voted in favor of recognizing the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in eastern Ukraine as independent.
She called on Moscow to de-escalate tensions with deeds and not just words.
Ex-Belgium PM Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, also addressed EU lawmakers. He explained that EU and NATO officials were in daily contact “working at a level of intensity and quality never seen before.” The president of the European Council presides over the meetings of EU leaders elected in the various nations constituting theEuropean Union. So contrarily to what Europhobes claim, it is a completely democratic position (limited to 2.5 years; election by double majority).
Michel called on Russia to find the “courage” to choose diplomacy over conflict and warned that Moscow would have to face “massive consequences” in case of an invasion against Ukraine.

What really bothers Putin is Ukrainian DEMOCRACY and its ASSOCIATION with the EUROPEAN UNION [1]. Putin knows that his military edge on Ukraine, in particular his hypersonic advantage, is going to diminish as . It’s a case of use it, or lose it, while everything else goes to waste: the Kaiser Trap.
Putin’s advanced weapons are full of Western electronics. If Putin had no cash, he would have no advanced weapons.
The European Union has fed a deadly cancer, the mood that the Kremlin should rule over Eurasia. Dictator Putin proposed it initially with sotto voce. Now Putin is using his nuclear voice. It could not be any clearer.

Here is Putin’s answer: Hundreds of Iskander missiles already deployed more than a decade ago, and now with much more advanced versions:

60% of the revenues of the Kremlin nuclear tyrant comes from fossil fuels sold to the West. And what did that bring? Hypersonics! Monster missiles shrieking through the air at two miles per second…Is that the famous “energy transition” European propagandists have been talking about obsessively? Transition to tyranny?
Transition from nuclear power plants to nuclear tipped missiles we can see only in the last ten seconds? Transition to doing what Putin wants us to do? Watch as he reconstitutes the largest empire Russia ever had? To start with? And what does the imperially obsessed tyrant do with these colossal revenues from the West?
Similarly to Hitler, Putin builds weapons. But… Putin is smarter than Hitler. Putin’s weapons have a real, serious qualitiative advantage on the West.
Contrary to legend Hitler did not have a qualitative advantage in weapons in 1940. The French had way better tanks, superior in range, power, and armor… And much more of them. In aviation, the best British and French fighters, the Hurricane and the Dewoitine, equalled the best Nazi fighters. The only advantages the Nazis had were a practice of tactics, integration of aviation and tanks, radio in all the tanks, massive usage of amphetamines, and fanaticism (Nazis used suidical engineers with explosive backpacks).
Over all, the French and the British had weapons the Nazis did not posses, or in numbers so low as being irrelevant and ridiculous. Basically, in five days starting May 10, 1940, the Nazis took the French by surprise. Once the French learned, they had lost the Battle of France and the French C in C had been fired (May 17). The situation with Putin is different.
Putin really has a new type of weapons that the West doesn’t have. Hypersonic missiles, at least hundreds of them, some long deployed and in improved versions.
A ballistic missile goes up thousands of kilometers above the atmosphere, and enjoys a fully visible and predictable trajectory… predictable from classical mechanics. “Ballistic” means weight. Hypersonic missiles instead skirt low over the ground, at speeds of the same order as that of ballistic missiles. That makes those missiles impossible to see from ground radar until it’s too late. Those hypersonic missiles evade existing defenses, and reduce warning times before impact to… ten seconds. That those hypersonic missiles violated de facto the Medium Range ballistic missile treaty has been blatant for more than a dozen years, and I wrote about it. Much later, in 2014, the Obama administration woke up, and Trump pulled out of the treaty in 2019.
However, neither France nor the US, the two leading Western military powers, have developped hypersonic missiles. US research tests have been pathetically few and generally dismal failures… The French do not even have seemed to understand something is going on, and they don’t know wha it is. One must admire Russian engineers, who are a decade ahead.
We don’t want to criticize Hitler, or anyone else, when that’s not deserved. Hitler was not ready to wage a world war in 1939, because he did not choose, or want, a war with Britain and France in 1939: the French forced him into it. An increasingly aghast Hitler believed the democracies to be weak and lacking in will to fight. Surprised from the French and the Bbritish is why Hitler was so unprepared. UK PM Chamberlain outsmarted Hitler by gaining time at Munich, while building an air force that Hitler could only dream of. The French would have been better off attacking in 1938… With only Czechoslovakia as an ally. But then France would have been accused by the US of war mongering… Choices, choices…
Now we have a Kremlin tyrant, who has wunder Waffen, wonder weapons… but nothing else to show. So he is anxious to use them, you know, otherwise it will be too late, and he is old anyway, so he may as well destroy something out of sheer frustration and making good entertainement that he will the first to watch. We will have to resist, as yours truly said for well above a decade. But then it is going to be painful and scary. Choices, choices…
With more advanced electronics dictator Putin made hypersonic missiles which can destroy his enemies, who don’t have them. So now he can attack. Advancing technology was always empowering. How to use that power is the moral question.. Morality has to advance with tech. It didn’t.
Let’s keep it simple: when a fascist tyranny is in a Kaiser Trap, democracies should treat it as a possible extinction event, and treat it accordingly.
Putin delendus est!

Tsirkon, aka Zircon, probably because of use of Zirconium, a metal found in nuclear fuel bars because of its high temperature resistance, is just the latest hypersonic Russian missile. For well above a decade, the US failed to make fly significantly a US version of the idea. The energy of the missile is such that, on impact, it has kinetic energy equivalent to 2.2 tons of TNT.

Scared rabits do not wisdom make. Have you seen Putin, sitting at a table, an immense distance, at least seven meters, from Macron, the French president, or Lavrov, Putin’s own foreign minister? Why is Putin such a scared rabbit? Doesn’t the famous “Sputnik” Russian vaccine work? Or has Putin’s brain been affected by COVID… Explaining his willingness to reduce the “world to radioactive ashes“, as Putin’s main propagandists said several times, with lurid details. Russia Today, the regime’s Pravda, had a big blaring title:”Russia threatens France with nuclear war“. About what exactly? France did not send one weapon we know of to Ukraine. Never mind, it’s the gesture which counts.
In 1939 Russia invaded Finland and Poland. Invading Eastern European countries is an old, centuries old, Kremlin habit: keep on invading to weaken them.Moscow has spent much of the last four centuries attacking and invading, not just all the way to California (!), but also in Eastern Europe. Amusingly, some of the pseudo-left, misled that Moscow was a place of world liberation, have expressed their hatred for humanity by justifying this habitual horror the Kremlin has visited on the world.
The argument goes around, among cowards, that, because a dictator has more will, he will win. This vile and stupid logic, that will makes right, is an ancient weapon of those who fight against human rights.
The argument can be found in The West Must Accept Reality in Ukraine, a piece probably planted by a Chinese double agent to make the invasion of Taiwan more palatable (read her reasoning below: [1]; basically there is none… Such propaganda pieces in Project Syndicate, a consortium of more than 500 media organization financed by the Deep Plutocracy: Soros, Gates, etc.; they never run out of promoted prostitutes to flaunt their submission to masters… Yes, prostitutes, some started this way on the Internet, and are now esteemed PhDs…)
In modern times, this argument that will subjugates everything was made by Hitler, and then, by those who were anxious to coexist with, and profit from, Hitler. Putin has done better than Hitler: feeling existentially denied by ever increasing Ukrainian democracy, while he jails and kills his opponents, and Ukraine changes parties and presidents, dictator Putin has threatened the world with nuclear war (more exactly his main mouthpiece, head of the Puting government news agency Russia Today, did so). Putin has understood that his regime can survive only through war. he had to wait until he made enough money from fossil fuels sold to the West, to be able to equip a modern army.
Putin has expressed sorrow about Kosovo’s independence (and sent special forces to prevent it; Kosovo is next to the Adriatic sea). Putin claimed Poland used to be Orthodox and then “the West” forced it to become Catholic. Poland, like Ukraine, is a “borderland” which should have nothing Putin does not like. Putin claims Russia has a right to subjugate all the countries of Eastern Europe. Putin has killed 15% of Chenchnya, and put a tyrant in power there. Putin also invaded parts of Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, and annexed Belarus.
The argument that it is wise “of accepting today’s harsh realities”, instead of fighting for democracy is as old as those who did not want to fight for democracy. Thousands of dictators flaunting that they had more will, in the hope of scaring their opponents, were, in the end, destroyed and replaced by democracies.
Ukraine was conquered by the dictator Catherine of Russia, two centuries ago. Catherine extended the borders of the Russian Empire southward and westward to absorb New Russia (Ukraine), Crimea, Northern Caucasus, Right-bank Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, and Courland. After the conquest by the Czarina, Ukrainian was suppressed as a language.
Putin clearly wants to do the same as Catherine… to start with.
Going even further than Hitler did during his own world war, Putin has written that Russians are presently victims of a genocide caused by Ukraine: ”Millions” are dying, he wrote. Pure invention: this is lunacy for all to see.
The present Ukrainian president is one of these “Russians” Putin claims are been killed in Ukraine, and that he needs to save. A lawyer by training, history teacher and famous Russophone comedian, Volodymir Zelenskyy beat by surprise the incumbent president in 2019, in a landslide.
Any willingness to reach an agreement with Putin would be worse than British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s appeasement of Nazi Germany at Munich. This is not only correct, but it is vital to understand it. In the end, Hitler killed dozens of millions. Putin, with his 6,200+ nukes, could kill billions… It is not just a potentiality, an implicit threat, but a very explicit menace. Putin’s mouthpiece explicitly threatened that the entire world would be turned to “radioactive ash”. If that argument works now, it will be used again.
The situation we suddenly have is much worse than China taking Taiwan by force.
Preventing a never ending war in Eastern Europe is the best thing that the US and its allies can do to preserve not just Ukraine’s well-being, but the world’s survival. Nothing would compromise it more than giving in to nuclear blackmail. Russia has no more right (out of the UN Security Council, where it is a permanent member), than any other country in the world. Blackmailing countries with invasion and nuclear war is not a sustainable behavior. A rogue regime behaving that way should be embargoed as a preliminary to its disappearance from the concert of civilization.
Oligarchies, the Oligarchic Principle, are intrinsically evil. Putin was grown and nurtured through the so-called “pipeline diplomacy” fostered by the powers that be in Western Europe… at the very least. World plutocracy wanted that “pipeline diplomacy”. Why? One reason is that oligarchies unite, they are stronger that way. It happened during the terrible wars of the Twentieth Century. It worked quite a bit as with Hitler: Putin and his goons stole, and much of the proceeds ended jacking up luxury prices in the West. If one owns a soccer team, Russian billionaires are nothing to sneeze at. Riciculously expensive private schools and clincs in Europe are full of relative of Russian potentates (Putin’s star girlfriend gave birth in one of these…)
What Putin is has been obvious for more than two decades. The obvious evil Putin represents has been in power for twice longer than Hitler. Now he has made this power even greater, by threatening the world with annihilation.
Facing thermonuclear will, we need thermonuclear resistance. Just as Hitler, Putin has got to have internal resistance. Faced with annihilation, this internal resistance will have to express itself… In a way it did with Germany: right the military organized coups against Hitler failed. In 1937, because the US plutocracy loved Hitler, and in 1942 or 1944, through bad luck (explosives did not explode in a plane, or, in July 1944, a sturdy table, and the conference being in a weak building outside instead of a strong bunker concentrating the explosion…). However, as Hitler wrote the piece of trash which constituted his… final will… Hitler complained that Germans had not fought to death. In the end, although they fought all too long, Germans had given up on Nazism… even Hitler saw that. (And this is why there was no Nazi resistance: Germans had deeply given up.)

UKRAINE’S CRIME? EUROPE And DEMOCRACY:
The Ukrainians, starting in 1989, voted to give up on the dictatorship of the so-called “Proletariat”, and to embrace democracy. OK, Ukrainians are not Russians: Moscovites grew in the shadow of the Tatars (Putin’s sexual outlet is half Tatar), whereas Kyiv resisted the Mongols so much it got destroyed twice… Moscow adopted the Mongol, invading, subjugating and terrorizing mentality, Kyiv learned to resist it, at the cost of everything, in particular lives.
Putin hates the accord of association of Ukraine and the European Union from 2014: he knows this will boost Ukraine and its democracy, making his tyranny look terrible.
Today, Putin’s proxies or forces, shelled in kindergarten in Ukraine, hoping for escalation.
In 1939 Russia invaded Finland and Poland. In 1940, France and Britain, led by Daladier and Chamberlain repesctively, decided to come to the rescue of Finland. They would land in the north of their ally, Norway, occupied by the Nazis, and destroy the Nazis there (that part was done). The rest of the plan was to cut Sweden in two: Sweden had been supplying Hitler with top quality iron ore… and then open a supply route to Finland. Yes, Chamberlain, much criticized for pacifism, planned to do that.
Notice that I am not complaining too much about Biden: he is doing way better than the scared rabbit Obama… But not as well as he should: Biden could have sent a few thousand obsolete Stingers ground to air short range missiles to Ukraine and Putin would have long backed off. Trump, in a similar situation a few years ago, discreetly sent a few hundreds Javelin anti-tank missiles, when Putin was weaker, and Putin backed off. Now Putin is stronger, more missiles are needed.
Rabbits are not wise, because they never learned to manage conflicts…

[1] Nancy Qian starts with the base and cowardly:
“In the fraught standoff between NATO and Russia over Ukraine, it is clear that Russia is far more committed to its cause than NATO is to the defense of Ukrainian sovereignty. The sooner the West recognizes this harsh reality, the better it will be for everyone, including Ukrainians.”

[2] A despicably short and uninformed piece in The Atlantic in 2014:
“I believe it is peace for our time,” Neville Chamberlain said, standing outside 10 Downing Street on Sept. 30, 1938, upon returning from a meeting with Adolf Hitler in Germany.
Those infamous words by the British prime minister, which followed a deal to give Nazi Germany a part of Czechoslovakia in return for a promise of no war, have been repeated for more than 75 years as the example of appeasing to a dictator in modern history. And now, a growing choir of politicians and pundits, warning of the consequences of Russian aggression in Ukraine, are using [Munich] too….”
Kindergarten in Donbas Shelled By Putin’s agents, 1/17/2022. Putin had the initial rebel leaders assassinated, and replaced by others he liked better. Putin is a man of wealth and taste. Putin is trying to create some incident(s) he could use for a war. Hitler used several on August 31, 1939, for his joint attack on Poland, in collaboration with Russia.

Putin threatened a nuclear apocalypse, hence revealing himself and his regime for what they are, a thermonuclear dictatorship… (Apocalypse means revelation.)
Where Does Putin’s Mentality Come From? The Golden Horde! With Whom Moscow Collaborated, Until Beating It At Its Own Game!
Russia, Putin’s style was born out of war… squared. First the newly created Moscow, a fort on a river, became the tax collector of the Mongols who had invaded Rus. That was the first side of the square. After a couple of centuries of this, Moscow became wealthy and military savvy. Moscow then rebelled against its masters, beating them at their own game. That was the second side: Moscow destroyed the Mongols by becoming even worse than them to destroy them, and thus erected that success into a triumphant morality, where the ends justify any means, and they are all tied up to the Kremlin…
In the fullness of time, thanks to a bit of Golden Horde type duplicity, Moscow ended up occupying not just Ukraine, which it nicknamed “Little Russia”, but also most of Eastern Europe, including the Baltic countries and Poland.
First in 1919, and then again after 1991, Russia lost these countries it had occupied, colonized, and subjugated… Going to the point of outlawing languages such as Ukrainian…
In this bloody subjugating, genocidal past, Putin has found a moral justification, which he flaunts in his version of history.
To Mr. Putin — and many other Russians — the conflict with Ukraine is about a hurt national psyche, a historical injustice to be set right.
The truth is the exact opposite. It’s not Moscow which should own Kyiv, but Moscow which, created and poisoned by the Golden Horde subjugation, is actually a consequence of Kievan Rus.

EXPLAINING NATO TO LITTLE CHILDREN:
If the USA had been aligned with the French Republic in 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, or 1940, would there have been Auschwitz? No. Because, one way or another, the Nazis & their Soviet accomplices would have been defeated. This is why the North Atlantic Treaty Organization was created. NATO is grounded into stopping fascism when it attacks the core, democracy, with all the forces democracies have at their disposal.
In the world wars of 1914-1918 and 1939-45, the aggressors were able to win for a while, and kill dozens of millions of civilians, because the USA stayed out of the conflict too long, instead of coming to the help of its parents and allies, the French and British democracies, right from the start. NATO corrects this historical failure, by making sure that, if France goes to war, say, the US will follow promptly (as happened several times since).
Having a killer dictator like Putin in command of more than 6,200 nukes is insane.300 could annihilate the US. Anti-missile systems, with luck, can intercept only a few rockets. So Putin’s anxiety about ABM is just a cover-up, it’s fake. What he truly wants is subjugation of Europe, so his dictatorship can get wealthy that way.

This failure to distinguish democracy and fascism is typical of the unbalanced..
Dmitri Kiselyov, one of Russian state television’s leading anchors, February 2022:
“Let’s remember that Russia doesn’t need a world without Russia,” Mr. Kiselyov, one leading state TV anchors, intoned at the beginning of his weekly prime-time show, paraphrasing a 2018 line by Putin. “And then not just America, but also Europe, will turn into radioactive ash.”Could not be any clearer. What we are facing here is nuclear war blackmail. And it will not stop in Ukraine.
Putin obsessively mentioned the “humiliation” Russia suffered in Kosovo (Kosovo is close to Italy). Putin deplores that Poland turned Catholic, a few centuries ago. He would like to reverse all of this: Poland, the Balts, Ukraine are “borderlands” of Moscow, and Slavs, thus natural subjects of Moscow.
In Chechnya Putin killed nearly 15% of the population. Putin also invaded Georgia. Ukraine is a democracy which Putin attacked. Dictator Putin has been in power for 23 years, during which Ukraine had several Prime Ministers (including a woman) and six (6) presidents. One of these presidents was poisoned by Putin. Putin is a “killer”, said Biden. Putin’s main opponents were jailed or killed, one of them below Putin’s Kremlin.
Failing to distinguish democracy and a dictatorial kleptocratic regime is characteristic of those who laud fascism. The world wars and the holocausts they generated were made possible because all the democracies did not unite right away… And all too many people were blinded by petty political infighting within said democracies.

NOT a thermonuclear explosion, but give Putin, or the mood of nuclear blackmail he generates, a chance and sure enough we will see this for real. What do to? Well research more and deploy anti-missile systems (rockets and, or directed energy beams…) February 2022… Golden Gate…
P/S: There was an exchange in the New York Times, which published some of the comment above, about the significance of quoting Dmitri Kiselyov. Basically the New York Times claimed that I was making the equivalent of quoting Sean Hannity and judging all the USA by it. I replied to that… And the new york Times censored, refused to published my answer… although it left the claim of comparing Dmitri Kiselyov to Sean Hannity! Here is the writing of mine which the NYT censored:
Hannity, or any other anchor in the US is not from a state TV, or a chief propagandist. Dmitry Konstantinovich Kiselyov, is a Soviet and Russian journalist, presenter, news executive and a propagandist. He is known as “Putin’s mouthpiece.” In 2013, he was appointed by Russian President Vladimir Putin to head the new official Russian government-owned international news agency Rossiya Segodnya, Russia Today news agency. The BBC and others calls him Putin’s Spin Doctor. He has the unusual distinction, for a journalist, of being targeted by EU sanctions!

Abstract: We learn about future wars from past wars. We learn even more by unveiling past moods, past traps, and plutocratic systems, which brought wars… especially if these moods, these traps and these plutocratic systems are still in place, alive and functioning.
The most basic evidence, and the officially most respected historians, agree that the German empire’s deliberate aggression caused World War One.
So why is that blatant guilt commonly denied in the Anglophone world?
Because it enables the present establishment to deny that there is such a thing as plutocracy in command, the Kaiser Trap (the one the Kaiser, Hitler fell into, and Putin is on the verge of falling into), etc. In other words, it enabled global plutocracy to build a world dominated by Putin and Xi. With enemies that powerful, how could democracy afford a revolution towards a deeper and more direct form?

DENYING FASCIST GERMANY CAUSED WORLD WAR ONE IS A MASS PSYCHOSIS INFLICTED BY THE RULING PLUTOCRACY:
Germany was so insufferably racist and militarized by the 1880s, Nietzsche decried it in the loudest terms, and many thinking Germans fled it, including a 15 year old Einstein, who renounced his German citizenship to avoid serving in the fascist army… The Prussian march to war by general psychosis was undeniable. Still, to this day, in 2022, with the thermonuclear Putin rising, it is denied in the Anglophone world that Germany caused World War One, and Hitler is also excused: it’s all the fault of the Versailles Treaty we often hear. But actually most of what the Versailles Treaty did was to free Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, etc. And this is what made Lord Keynes furious as all those populists were racially iferior, and not at all like the Germans who used to rule them with the necessary discipline…
So have Anglophones been programmed by fascinating, excellent and otherwise totally misleading books such as Barbara Tuchman’s “Guns of August” which view as a little detail that Germany was a dictatorship led by men ravenous for war, who believed that “war was a biological necessity”… whereas their main adversary, the French Republic, was a non-racist democracy? Alas, it starts in schools.
Thus, is it because more sinister forces are at work? Such as the excellent business which can be conducted with bloody dictators? Thus, denying that business best conducted with tyrants, or something like the Kaiser Trap ever happened, enables to do more of the same… As happened with Putin in the last quarter of a century.
Denying the deepest forces and moods which brought World War One, has to do with a conspiracy between the actors of the Deep Plutocratic State. Those actors are keen to accuse everybody but themselves, their caste and its ways, to insure their demonic, all devouring persistence.
We see the crime, we see who profited from it. US plutocracy, which is the dominant partner of the world oligarchy, benefited tremendously from World War One. How so? By weakening the democracies in ways which benefited US plutocracy. It’s important to obscure that fact, and even more so that the US could have made WW1 much less painful to the (non-US) democracies… by intervening on the side of the democracies in a more timely manner. Now of course if France caused WWI as much as Germany did, as the evil historian Margaret McMillan pretends
Hence pretending that Germany did not cause WWI, is a case of blaming the victims, hence justifying their further victimization, by US plutocracy and its obsequious servants. Better: by preventing the means which would have insured a revanche of German racist fascism, the US Deep State (entangled with US plutocracy through the revolving private-public door), made it so that something such as Nazism would occur, and weaken European democracies some more.
Thus it was crucial to hide the role of the USA in helping to launch and sustain and making disruptive enough, the attack of Prussian-German plutocracy onto European democracy in 1914.
Europe in 1913. Notice that most East European countries, in particular POLAND and UKRAINE do not exist. Instead they are occupied by Germany, Austria and Russia. All the eastern Baltic lands are occupied by Russia. However these countries had existed for more than a millenium, with their distinct languages and civilizations. Turkey occupies the Arabs…
In the English-speaking world pundits and commentators and politicians routinely opine that World War I was a needless, yet unavoidable catastrophe, caused by a militaristic mood shared by all. The First World War is commonly attributed to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a Serbian terrorist at Sarajevo on June 28 1914, in combination with a runaway arms races, uncontrolled nationalisms, imperialism in general, or “sleepwalking” politicians who stumbled blindly into catastrophe.
The broader Anglo-Saxon public is left with the impression that nobody in particular was to blame for the greatest conflagration in world history before the Second World War. Alleged literary and cinematic masterpieces like Remargue’s All Quiet on the Western Front and Kubrick’s Path’s of Glory reinforced the perception that the conflict proved the absurdity of war, and that there was no point to it. No defense of democracy against bloodthirsty egomaniacs a la Kaiser, Hitler or Putin involved. The lesson commonly drawn by the Commons, which they have been taught as an evidence, without looking at the evidence, is that war is like catastrophic climate change—a destructive force that must be avoided and for which everyone is partly to blame. So we may as well make it so that dictaot Putin gets 60% of his revenues from fossil fuels purchased by the Western democracies: that will help us stay democratic, because we will not cultivate our agreesivity by doing so.
In the Anglophone world, this interpretation of World War I has roots in so-called isolationism, the international peace campaigns of the early twentieth century, and, not least, US president Woodrow Wilson’s call for a “peace without victory.” Wilson was the most racist president the USA ever had, and nobody seems to have connected his delirious racism with his blatant affection for racist Germany and the racist which led her. For Wilson, that a beautifully racist and genocidal Germany, which had recently embarked on mass murdering entire races of subhumans in Africa, had to be preserved to fight another day (as it would, led by the discreetly US sponsored Hitler)…
In the European Union, treating World War I as the product of blind, abstract and malevolent forces like arms races or nationalism is useful in minimizing national animosities… claiming we can start from scratch, it was nobody’s fault (to go the end of this logic, the Holocaust itself should not have happened!… And the Nazis, already excused by Versailles will come out pristine and misunderstood…)
However, is that the truth of what happened? No!

WAR OF AGGRESSION OF GERMANY AGAINST BELGIUM, REMINSCENT OF PUTIN VS UKRAINE:
On August 2, 1914, the German ambassador in Belgium delivered an ultimatum from his government. Germany demanded that neutral Belgium allow free passage of the German army on its way to invade France.
Here it is in part, translated:
… to afford an adequate guarantee against danger to Germany. It is essential for the self-defense of Germany that she should anticipate any such hostile attack. The German Government would, however, feel the deepest regret if Belgium regarded as an act of hostility against herself the fact that the measures of Germany’s opponents force Germany, for her own protection, to enter Belgian territory. In order to exclude any possibility of misunderstanding, the German Government make the following declaration: —
Germany has in view no act of hostility against Belgium. In the event of Belgium being prepared in the coming war to maintain an attitude of friendly neutrality towards Germany, the German Government bind them selves, at the conclusion of peace, to guarantee the possessions and independence of the Belgian Kingdom in full.
Germany undertakes, under the above-mentioned condition, to evacuate Belgian territory on the conclusion of peace.
If Belgium adopts a friendly attitude, Germany is prepared, in cooperation with the Belgian authorities, to purchase all necessaries for her troops against a cash payment, and to pay an indemnity for any damage that may have been caused by German troops.
Should Belgium oppose the German troops, and in particular should she throw difficulties in the way of their march by a resistance of the fortresses on the Meuse, or by destroying railways, roads, tunnels, or other similar works, Germany will, to her regret, be compelled to consider Belgium as an enemy.
Within a few weeks, invading Belgium with a two million men army, the German High Command would give orders to commit atrocities of all sorts, including burning libraries, executing civilians after accusing them to fire on German soldiers, or not, and even assassinating Belgian toddlers. (All this is thoroughly documented, and did not happened with Allied armies either in WWI or WWII. The reason it did not happen is that the German armies got explicit orders from their high command to commit atrocities… and Allied commanders never gave such orders. This is particularly obvious in WWII, when Hitler gave the official order to execute Communist Commissars… In WWI, the future Nazi, top general Luddendorf, de facto head of the German army in 1917-1918. ordered war crimes in 1914… and was not prosecuted for them later…)
In 2014, Putin seized 7% of Ukraine, an area larger than the Netherlands. His argument is basically that, when Czarina Catherine (born a German princess) seized free Ukraine from the Cossack state, she created “Little Russia“, and that’s it, Moscow owns it. Now Putin gave an ultimatum to 30 countries that a number of countries should disarm. Implicitly: I have more than 6,200 thermonuclear weapons, so submit. On the face of it, this is worse than any threat from Hitler.

In 1919, GERMANY RECOGNIZED HER GUILT:
On the face of it, gathered together in a conference at Versailles, confronted to the evidence they had to live through during four years, all the powers, including Germany admitted explicitly, and in writing, the obvious, namely that Germany caused the war in 1914: Germany was the first to declare war (to Russia, August 1, 1914), was the first to invade (France August 2, 1914), fired the first shots, and killed the first soldier (French Corporal Peugeot, who had seized the bridle of the horse of German Lieutenant Mayer, deep in French territory, August 2, at 10 am).
Article 231 of the Treaty of Versailles, known as the War Guilt Clause, established that Germany was responsible for beginning World War I. It reads as follows:
“The Allied and Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of Germany and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and Associated Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of Germany and her allies.“
In 1859 Julius Froebel, then quite famous from a famous family of thinkers, wrote: ‘The German nation is sick of principles and doctrines, literary existence and theoretical greatness. What it wants is Power, Power, Power!’
By then a first war, against Denmark, had been successfully conducted (1853)
Power was obtained through war, thanks to German unification by Prussia, historically a war machine paid by Great Britain to fight France, Austria and Russia. After a century of intense British financed war making, Prussia unified Germany, thanks to a war against France, and then proceeded to engage in a war of words internally against German Jews, while preparing the final war against France.
German historian Fritz Fischer, in his book Germany’s Aims In The First World War, published in Germany in 1961, explains that the Great War was largely the responsibility of Germany. Ever escalating European tensions were fueled by Germany’s angling for increased resources and status. The German antagonism towards France was central to Germany’s approach to general European war, which Germany was in excellent position to know it was inevitable, as it would make it so. In fact Fischer points out what the documents reveal, that the German leadership felt it needed a war to maintain Germany’s status as a great power. World War I happened because Germany needed it, and her statesmen and generals forced it to explode, out of fears of a rising Russia and an equally rising and scheming France.
Margaret MacMillan in her 2014 book The War that Ended Peace: the Road to 1914 pretends to add a new spin on understanding the causes of World War One by regarding its origins as a failure of the forces that advocated peace to hold back such a conflict from happening. This is nothing new: the assassination of Dr. Jean Jaurès, the extremely bright leader of the French Socialist party intervened on July 31, preventing a last ditch effort by the French and German socialists to stop war. MacMillan examines the slow erosion of the anti-war forces in the leadup to 1914 in great detail. However she establishes her bias with her outrageous conclusion: “the war was either everybody’s fault, or nobody’s.” She reveals herself to be a consummate liar, as when she claims that though Germany was one of the first to have its troops cross the borders of another nation, she argues that this was largely because France and the Triple Entente were desperately concerned about not being perceived as the aggressors, and held back until after Germanyhad made itself look like the aggressor for posterity.
The lie is extreme: only Germany crossed borders: Germany was the first and only to do so. Germany would fight on Belgian and French territory, for four years. McMillan adds that the tension that sparked the conflict was exasperated by all sides…. Then again, why was it, as Lord Kirchener famously put it, that Britain had no army, and the entire French government was on vacation? The French general mobilization was ordered by the French under secretary for agriculture, as the rest of the government was very far away from Paris.
Margaret Olwen MacMillan has many honorific titles: CH, CC, FRSL, FRSC, FBA, FRCGS. She is a Canadian historian and professor at the University of Oxford. A former provost of Trinity College, she is a member of the establishment, thus her profession, as an historian, is to pretending that the victims caused the war… instead of having those who benefited from it suspected to have played a role…[1]
World peace has towering intellectual appeal, everybody intellectual is supposed to be for it 100%. But to be for world peace in depth demands being able to analyze the foundations of aggressive moods.
In the case of Germany in 1914 the fundamental moods were driven by the Fascist Trap, or Kaiser Trap, the fact a dictatorship will be distanced by more democratic (France, Britain), or democratizing (Russia in 1914) countries. The distanciation is socioeconomic and in the human development index. In the end, as the Prussian-German generals said explicitly in 1912 or 1914, Germany was losing its military advantage, due to these socioeconomic developments.
Russia in 2022 is in a similar situation. Putin, like Hitler in 1939, confuses democratic debate and weakness. Actually debate makes people smarter.
The ruling establishment has no interest in understanding the Kaiser Trap. Actually much of the Russian plutocracy under Yeltsin and Putin invested its stolen riches in the West, for obvious reasons (they like the West, and want to be able to flee…) That contributed mightily to British GDP, for example, not just hotel chains in Austria. The so-called “pipeline diplomacy” with dictator Putin denied that there was such a thing as the Czar Trap (Czar is Kaiser in Russian), and that making Putin wealthy with fossil fuels could fuel thermonuclear fascism…
So here we are, submitted to nuclear blackmail… a situation worse than any Hitler could pretend to impose on We The People Of Planet Earth..All this because mass formation psychosis in connection with the Kaiser Trap has not been identified as a concept, let alone been studied in depth. Had it been, Putin would have been avoided. Instead the power that be saw in Putin another dictator they could manipulate, as happened with the Kaiser, Hitler, or Stalin… Or for that matter Mao, who, once recognized, enabled the greatest deindustrialization, while global plutocracy offshored itself with its tyrannical accomplices…
To justify his aggression against Ukraine, or, more generally, the non-existence of Eastern Europe as an independent society, Putin went back a few centuries centuries, picking up along the way, all what could justify the ascendence of Moscow over Kyiv, Poland, etc. Hitler made similar ultra-biased studies of history, and justified his life from them. The “Manifest Destiny” of the US is well-known, millions of dead Americans and slaves could have testified about it.
So how we pick up the full, all encompassing logic of history matters, not just morally, or to find the truth, but also to learn from it and survive… tomorrow. Denial is a weapon. Uttering very strong and, or decisive statements without being capable, or a fortiori willing, of proving them are an indication of systemic bias. Germany was a fascist hyper militarized autocracy led by the same man for a quarter of a century when Germany, after a lightning fast, long prepared mobilization, declared war and attacked 4 countries on August first and second of 1914, taking its four victims by surprise. To prove that Germany was no more culprit than the other powers is impossible. Insisting upon the opposite indicates a logical cover-up of a more inconvenient truth.
So here we are. Nazism looks like a toy situation relative to what is at hand: the breakdown of the international order of massive peace… and its alternative looming… thermonuclear war. This is the world the plutocratic establishment has built. it may be in its interest to proceed. As with the coronavirus, those forces were long potentially in action. we now went from virtual, to real… In part because generations of historians were paid to put us to sleep.

[1] Not that MacMillan is an evil demon in all ways. She is actually an improvement over preceding scholarship which “Saw no Evil” in plutocracy, as far as the treacherous attack on the world in 1914, preferring instead to blame the peoples, typically accused of “populism” or nationalism.
The primary evil force wasLord Keynes, who, like lord Bertrand Russell loved the German “race”. Perhaps following my critical observations about Lord Keynes delirious anti-Polish racism, Margaret MacMillan traces in her “1919” the lying and vicious theory of German victimization at the odious hands of the vengeful French back where it belongs, to Lord John Maynard Keynes, one of the powers at the time of the Paris peacemaking process. The Western powers, according to the lying Keynes, placed such a crushing financial burden on Germany that the defeated state and its people were doomed to failure and revenge. Yet as MacMillan and yours truly pointed out, Germany ended up paying a fraction of what had been required, and all payments were suspended as early as 1932. Thus the repairs for the deliberate damage inflicted by Germany in 1914-18 were never paid, and not fully made, to this day (theCoucy castle in Picardie, built in the 13th century, the tallest in Europe, destroyed by the fascist Germans during their rout in 1917, is still mostly on the ground. In April 1917 the ruins were declared “a memorial to barbarity“). The Treaty of Versailles was never vigorously enforced, and Germany had much more ability to wiggle out of obligations then has historically been espoused. Germany pretended to obey, while disobeying, for example training its military in the USSR!

Philosophy and science: the human adventure. Philosophy is not as popular as it should be, as it supports not just civilization, but human evolution. It matters what we love. Philo-Sophy: Love of Wisdom. But what is love, and what is wise? We humbly examine all the issues we can possibly imagine having to do with defining love, and wisdom. Plus Oultre!
