Betrayed By Its Chief Mercenary: How The 9/11 Tragedy Hides An Ongoing Hoax

September 11, 2020

Systemic lying, as deep as the Deeply Plutocratic State goes… The USA went to war in the Middle East because of a hoax perpetrated by oil and financial plutocrats, and their obsequious, greedy little servants. The Bin Laden saga was a minor act in the whole picture, which spans now a full century. But the US population does not know any better, because it does not read enough, can’t read the really revealing stuff, and is expertly lied to by plutocratic organization such as the brazenly named “Factcheck.org” (which claims, against all international evidence, that the USA had nothing to do with Bin Laden).

A hoax is a falsehood deliberately fabricated to masquerade as the truth. It is distinguishable from errors in observation or judgment, rumors, urban legends. The hoax, the imposture, the falsehood that 9/11 hides is that US policies didn’t cause 9/11. They did, in detail: the terrorist masterminds were, for many years, used as mercenaries by the USA. These policies of manipulating Muslim Fundamentalist mercenaries are as old as the investment of US oil plutocrats with the Saudis (themselves hereditary plutocrats forming what is called a monarchy)… in the 1930s. An accord was found where Saudi money from oil receipts would be recycled on Wall Street, and the Wahhabist (a hard core literralist sect of Islam founded in the 18 C) will keep the global plutocratic order firmly in command, and revolution down.

When US propaganda presents 9/11 its all about profiles in courage, tragedy, and noble suffering. There is never an attempt to find out what truly happened. Here is President Donald Trump on 9/11/20:

“On that September morning when America was under attack, the battle turned in the skies above this field. Soon after taking off from Newark, New Jersey, radical Islamic terrorists seized control of United 93. Other hijacked planes struck the North tower of the World Trade Center, and then the South tower, and then the Pentagon. The terrorists on Flight 93 had a fourth target in mind, it was called our nation’s capitol.

They were just 20 minutes away from reaching their sinister objective. The only thing that stood between the enemy and a deadly strike at the heart of American democracy was the courage and resolve of 40 men and women. The amazing passengers and crew of Flight 93.

Donald and Jean Peterson were grandparents traveling to vacation in California. Deora Bodley was a student headed back to college. Richard Guadagno was returning from celebrating his grandmother’s 100th birthday. Lauren Caruzzi Grandcolas was three months pregnant with her first child.

Every passenger and crew member on the plane had a life filled with love and joy, friends and family, radiant hopes and limitless dreams. When the plane was hijacked, they called their families and learned that America was also under attack. Then they faced the most fateful moment of their lives. Through the heartache and the tears, they prayed to God, they placed their last calls home, they whispered the immortal words, I love you. Today, those words ring out across these sacred grounds and they shine down on us from Heaven above.

When terrorists raised to destroy the seat of our democracy, the 40 of Flight 93 did the most American of things. They took a vote, and then they acted. Together, they charged the cockpit. They confronted the pure evil. And, in their last act on this earth, they saved our capital. In this Pennsylvania field, the 40 intrepid souls of Flight 93 died as true heroes. Their momentous deeds will outlive us all.

All very beautiful and correct, and I do not condemn Trump for any of these words, after all, he has an election coming driven by some of the biggest powerful liars around. What I do condemn is the US intellectual leadership, which, nineteen years after 9/11, as not examined what really happened, or why the elite head terrorist mercenary of the USA, Osama Bin Laden, turned against his employer.

Oops. Something is revealed, but propaganda damage control means that the US population is still not suspecting, to this day, that this particular collapse was the work of US mercenaries and US politics, since the 1930s, at the very least. (The British had heavily supported the Saudis in the 1920s, killing at least 20,000 to help Arab tyrant king Abdulaziz Ibn Saud… It’s likely the US government at the very least knew and approved.)

***

And why terrorist in chief Obama ordered Osama bin Laden killed:

Let’s put my New York Times subscription to work, after a full week or two of total censorship of my comments… As told by the NYT in “How 4 Federal Lawyers Paved the Way to Kill Osama bin LadenBy Charlie Savage, Oct. 28, 2015

… “a few other lawyers were eventually told the secret. But the White House kept senior lawyers at the Justice and State Departments in the dark… Thomas E. Donilon, national security adviser to Mr. Obama decided that there was no need for the Attorney General to know. AG Holder was briefed the day before the raid, long after the legal questions had been resolved… the four lawyers conferred in secure conference calls and … as the possible date for a raid neared, Mr. Preston grew tense and proposed writing the memos. Mr. Johnson wrote one on violating Pakistani sovereignty. When two countries are not at war, international law generally forbids one from using force on the other’s soil without consent. .. The lawyers decided that a unilateral military incursion would be lawful because of a disputed exception to sovereignty for situations in which a government is “unwilling or unable” to suppress a threat to others emanating from its soil.

Invoking this exception was a legal stretch, for two reasons. Many countries have not accepted its legitimacy. And there was no precedent for applying it to a situation in which the United States did not first ask Pakistan, which had helped with or granted consent for other counterterrorism operations… There was also a trump card. While the lawyers believed that Mr. Obama was bound to obey domestic law, they also believed he could decide to violate international law when authorizing a “covert” action, officials said…. some officials thought the SEALs might be able to slip back out, allowing the United States to pretend the raid never happened.

The lawyers also grappled with whether it was lawful for the SEAL team to go in intending to kill Bin Laden… They agreed that it would be legal, in a memo written by Ms. DeRosa, and Mr. Obama later EXPLICITLY ORDERED A KILL MISSION, officials said…

The lawyers also considered writing a memo describing their earlier analysis about what to do with any other living prisoners taken out of the compound, but did not write it because the final plan did not call for the SEALs to leave with anyone else.”

So here we have democracy and worldwide terrorism, and evasion of justice by four unelected lawyers nobody has ever heard of. And good errant boy Obama does what his masters told him to do, as usual…

This is all pretty incredible. When the First World War got launched, Austro-Hungary sent an ultimatum to its enemy Serbia, because Serbian terrorists and a Serbian based terrorist organization, the “Black Hand” had organized an elaborate plot to kill the de facto quasi-head of state and future emperor. The ultimatum requested many things, including full Austrian-Hungarian powers in Serbia to find out about the various conspirators. Serbia agreed to all, but for the last condition. So Austro-Hungary declared war. That took a few weeks.

Instead the US leaders, under Obama, a century after the assassination in Sarajevo, decided to make the USA behave like a rogue state, by taking the law in their own hands inside another country.

Bin Laden could have been captured. He had no time to surrender, but he  was not resisting… said the SEALS who had got the kill order, Bin Laden was behind his wife with his hands on her shoulders. He was shot twice in the forehead, then some more once on the ground.

What does that remind you of?

Mafia style.

Truth is Bin Laden as was a soldier of America, who got enraged for some reason(s), and found dozens of thousands of other mercenaries for America who got similarly enraged, if not millions… We wanted to hear the details, how the CIA and SIA recruited him, and instructed him (to go bomb little girls’ schools in Afghanistan). The powers that be, you promised the world to the prostitute in chief, knew better. They instructed him to get rid of Bin Laden, because Bin Laden knew too much.

Better, feel the global plutocrats who pull the strings to have entire generations who do not know that a “Democratic” US president launched the war in Afghanistan

Evil organizations such as “Factcheck.org” claim that the assertion of Senator Rand Paul that Bin Laden was a US agent is a “urban myth”:

https://www.factcheck.org/2013/02/rand-pauls-bin-laden-claim-is-urban-myth/

What Senator Rand wrote was that: Paul, Feb. 6: In the 1980s the war caucus in Congress armed bin Laden and the mujahideen in their fight with the Soviet Union. In fact, it was the official position of the State Department to support radical jihad against the Soviets. We all know how well that worked out.

Factcheck says this is false, there is “no evidence for it”. Factcheck is lying, following the BIG LIE technique. Well, there is no evidence in the US, because it has been cleansed with Putin like efficiency. Evidence exists, but not inside the USA, except on tiny sites such as your’s truly: such evidence was actively suppressed, while top US leaders boasted of the opposite overseas… with the obvious idea of terrifying the rest of the planet with the concept that US leaders would kill millions, well, just because they could.

The Muslim Fundamentalist war the US leaders imposed onto Afghanistan and also, with variants, in Iraq, Iran, Syria had the overall aim to create strife: divide et impera! Divide and order around with the power of life and death…

Factcheck is financed by the plutocratic Annenberg Foundation at the direction of the late Walter Annenberg, grants from the Flora Family Foundation, and financial support from the evil worldwide monopolies known as Facebook and Google…

And how does Factcheck Org’s lie technically work? Simple. Evidence that Bin Laden met with CIA operatives is blocked in the USA, so there is no evidence for it… In the USA. Also all the contacts which were enormous and extensive, were made not through the ISI of Pakistan (as Factcheck luridly claims) but through the SIA (Saudi Intelligence Agency). So technically, those liars claim they are not lying. Notice that when they claim that the CIA and the Pakistani had nothing to do with Bin Laden, the monopolistically plutocratically financed “Factcheck.org” forgets to make any mention of the CIA alter ego, the SIA…

In truth, US secret services and organizations and individuals gravitating in the vicinity, or vice versa, have long used Muslim Fundamentalism, in Egypt, Iran, North Africa, etc… already in the 1940s…

Notes: Walter Hubert Annenberg (March 13, 1908 – October 1, 2002), son of a US media plutocrat, was himself an even bigger plutocrat, who founded the giant Annenberg Foundation. An American businessman, investor, philanthropist, and diplomat. Annenberg owned and operated Triangle Publications, which included ownership of The Philadelphia Inquirer, TV Guide, the Daily Racing Form, A+ Magazine, Essence, Star & Sky Magazine, Elementary Electronics, Playboy, The Saturday Evening Post, The Atlantic Monthly, and Seventeen magazine. He was appointed by President Richard Nixon as United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom, where he served from 1969 to 1974.

The Flora Foundation, with a capital in the dozens of billions, emanates from the Hewlett family fortune. One of its present (2020) heirs (yes, foundations have heirs, that’s the whole idea!), officers and worldwide plutocrats, greasing the wheels of abuse worldwide, in the name of the environment, intervened to punish me by having my nine year old daughter thrown out of the Franco-American school she had attended since the age of four. They kept the money. I was made to understand that things would get way worse if I complained in public… The creature is a first name friend of many of the usual suspects, and their employees, such as the French president.

***

Factcheck.Org claims no journalist ever said what Senator Rand Paul said. They don’t read French, they just read plutocrat, that’s all they need to live well. Here is “The Exemplary student of CIA turned against his master”:

450 Million Dead Possible? Something To Take Seriously, Right Away.

March 9, 2020

COVID 19 Is A BIG ONE. We are under attack by the worst infectious disease since 1918!

Today I will endorse my hat of panicker-in-chief. I will attract attention on a point not mentioned in the media: the potential global lethality of SARS 2/COVID19. The question of the potential global lethality of the Coronavirus is ignored. We hear whining all over about not endangering economic activity, so France and the US have not gone in panic mode yet (what the French call stage3 epidemic).

Anyway, here are the scary numbers, as of March 8, 2020:

ACTIVE CASES, Currently Infected Patients: 43,975

37,998 (86%) in Mild Condition

5,977 (14%) Serious or Critical

***

CLOSED CASES, Cases which had an outcome: 66,110

62,280 (94%) Recovered / Discharged

3,830 (6%) Deaths

***

Another unexpected exponential strikes!

At first sight this seems to indicate a lethality of 6% [1]. However that maybe an overestimate: lethality has been above  5% in Wuhan, in the first three months of the epidemic there, according to Chinese medical authorities. That high rate is due to the effect of surprise and the medical system being overwhelmed: 2,000 medical personnel got infected. In the rest of China, the death rate has been much lower: a number of treatments are tried and perhaps working. Just providing mechanical oxygen saves half of the patient who would otherwise die. China is now able to try to cure patients by giving them antibodies in serum of recovered patients.

Now it’s cold in China in winter, people gather in warm places. So it remains to be seen whether the virus will spread as effectively in tropical areas. If it does, this means that an expected slowdown after cold winter months will not happen.

During the famous Black Plague of 1348 CE, around half of Europe died… But no nobles: armed with cats, civettes, and knowledge about transmission, European nobles kept the plague bacillus, and its vectors, fleas from rats, at bay. The economic impact and the impact of civilization was, weirdly, neglectable, or even positive: salaries went up. technology accelerated.

We have in some ways a similar situation. First, humanity has no immunity against Corona viruses… except for the few who got SARS 1, MERS, Ebola, and now SARS2 and recovered. This is different from the Flu A, B, C, etc… The Flu is always around, and people can keep, partly a life long immunity. Those exposed to the Avian (?) Flu of  1918 (so-called Spanish Flu which seems to have started in Kansas military camps…) kept a life long immunity against Avian Flus, sort of. Enough to prevent a repeat of 1918, when at least twenty million died.

Because nearly nobody has immunity against SARS 2 aka COVID 19, one may reasonably expect, in the worst case, a worldwide infection. That would be a bit more than 400 million dead.

I am not saying that this will happen. I am saying political leaders worldwide should assume that the death of many millions will happen… If they don’t take extreme measures to augment distanciation between individuals… as the People Republic of China succeed to do. But the case of China is special: a very powerful Communist Party and very advanced science and technology.

I have condemned China for having made the situation worse with its closed society, by keeping the infection secret too long. However now that the catastrophe is upon us, China was able to turn the catastrophe around as very few countries could… Singapore was able to. Singapore is an independent Chinese country, saw its first case January 23. Six weeks later it is barely above 100.

Italy, belatedly copied China sort of, with a country-wide ban on unnecessary travel (under the threat of jail). It remains to see if it works. Other most advanced countries have been too slow: France on 8 march banned gathering of more than 1,000 people: France and all of Europe should have followed Switzerland, which did it a week earlier. Clearly all gatherings should be banned, worldwide, except if absolutely necessary.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1994, recommended basically no air travel and “absolutely no cruise ships“… on Fox News, March 8…

Sometimes, panic is the wisest course. This is one of these times.

With maximum, aggressive distanciation, a few millions will probably die. Without, several dozen millions dead are guaranteed [2].

As far as the biosphere is concerned, humanity was the ultimate disease. SARS 2-COVID 19 is a first counterattack. As far as humanity is concerned, an interesting twist is that the older people (above 80) get affected around 100 times more than those below 40. Hence an occasion for the young to kill the old. This time. Next time may be different. So are we in this this together? A litmus test is in sight[3].

[1] Lower estimates of lethality have been obtained through the optimistic, yet erroneous computations where the number of death is divided by the total number of cases… Then getting something like 3.5%. Stupid. A smarter approach is to claim that 2/3 of the cases go undetected: that would give a lethality rate of 2%. To get the rate down to 1%, one would have to assume that the Chinese detected only one case out of six…

***

[2] HIV killed 35 millions… But over decades.

[3] One has to change the economy, fiscally and investment-wise: one needs to shrink the billionaire class and augment the carbon free economy and the science based economy. In 2009, Obama just reflated the plutocracy and its banks, and their monopoly powers, say on Intellectual Property; doing nothing, in other words.. Now the viruses have come to roost: the Coronaviruses. SARS, MERS, Ebola, have been warning for more than 20 years… and precious little was done.

A Cover-Up: ThanksGiving (To Holocaust!)

November 29, 2019

Thanksgiving”, in late November, is a US family celebration where thanks are supposedly given to the Native Americans for having made possible the colonization of America [1]. At Thanksgiving, the gullible, grateful Natives would have fed the starving colonizers who thanked them by serving dinner. All was good in the best of all possible worlds. Although the French had been around North America much earlier than the English, by a full century, the Gallic thinkers had forgotten to kill everybody in the name of civilization. English colonists soon remedied this oversight.

According to the apparently frank, yet subtly manipulative in the most devious, and plutocratic serving way History.com:

From the time Europeans arrived on American shores, the frontier — the edge territory between white man’s civilization and the untamed natural world — became a shared space of vast, clashing differences that led the U.S. government to authorize over 1,500 wars, attacks and raids on Indians, the most of any country in the world against its indigenous people.

Full of Indian nations all over! The French said that was a problem… they had to trade, couldn’t colonize. The plutocratic English investors of America, though, had a FINAL solution, the same one they used in Ireland…

As the excellent Charles Blow puts it in the New York Times in”The Horrible History of Thanksgiving”:

“And this says nothing of all the treaties brokered and then broken or all the grabbing of land removing populations, including the most famous removal of natives: the Trail of Tears. Beginning in 1831, tens of thousands of Native Americans were forced to relocate from their ancestral lands in the Southeast to lands west of the Mississippi River. Many died along the way.

I spent most of my life believing a gauzy, kindergarten version of Thanksgiving, thinking only of feasts and family, turkey and dressing.

I was blind, willfully ignorant, I suppose, to the bloodier side of the Thanksgiving story, to the more honest side of it.

But I’ve come to believe that is how America would have it if it had its druthers: We would be blissfully blind, living in a soft world bleached of hard truth. I can no longer abide that.”

Thanks Lucifer (Enlightenment Bringer), here l am… Harsh truths foremost…

Having most profitably cleared North America of its original inhabitants, English America, the USA inherited a mentality of profit at the potential cost of extermination. This goes on to this day: Obama opened the US Federal lands to fracking, and, thus, his name is holy. I never met (yet!) a US citizen revolted by Obama’s fracking. No wonder: most Americans are gas guzzlers, and crisscross their continent sized country at the slightest pretext, including at Thanksgiving, fittingly enough…

Nevermind a large part of the continent will be destroyed from it. It’s as was done to the Indians, done to the land. By comparison, the French Republic outlawed fracking… Although France would have 100 year of gas to frack…

War, war of the hardest type, annihilation war, presided to the creation of the English colony. According to the governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony, John Winthrop, Puritan inhabitants did not settle in Connecticut because of the “3 or 4,000: warlicke Indians”.  The war-like Indians refer to the Pequots. Destroying the Pequots thus became a primordial objective. Soon the Pequot war settled this. By 1637, the Pequots were annihilated. One memorable feat of the war included the entire surprise burning of a Pequot fortified city, at night in winter, killing 1,000 or so; those who tried to flee were shot. (I have read ridiculous contemporary racist cartoons for children misrepresenting what really happened to make the English Puritans look righteous.)

***

French Half-Breeds led the resistance to US plutocracy in Colorado. Edmond Guerrier above, reported the Holocaust to US Congress and the US military (those institutions gave a slap on the wrist on the perpetrators; yet they classified some actions in the Colorado War as “genocide“). Others French half-breeds fought, and were executed. Such Frenchmen had lived for generations in North America, blending with the Natives… The famous “Coureurs des Bois“…

Getting to know what happened when the English imperial system colonized America is an essential moral and cognitive step… for the entire world. Because the USA became the dominant country (in large part because of the Holocaust of the original inhabitants). How this all consuming greed mentality, ready to destroy all, was generated by the initial venture capitalists who viewed North America as a profit generator is a world problem.

(Same attitude, having originated in England, holds to some extent, for Canada, where the French, not just the American aborigines, were eradicated from many areas… Also Australia, South Africa.) Indeed it is how the mental foundation of the USA was generated. In particular, the holy “Founding Fathers” logico-emotional framework.

Once as a child, I went to restrooms in Gambia (an ex-English colony). I was struck that there were toilets more male/female (for the “colored”), and some for ladies/gentlemen (for the whites). Coming from French Black Africa, that was shocking.

The usual story of Thanksgiving is that the Puritans thanked the Indians. Whatever happened later was ordained by God and Indians. Not the fault of those who gave thanks, and keep on giving thanks… That version of Thanksgiving “history” absolves the Puritans of the criminal mentality which mostly defined them. Thus what is acknowledged and remembered in the US about Thanksgiving is mostly myth.

Here is an example, let’s come back to the quote I gave above, where reality and lie are mixed in an easily absorbed poison:

From the time Europeans arrived on American shores, the frontier — the edge territory between white man’s civilization and the untamed natural world — became a shared space of vast, clashing differences that led the U.S. government to authorize over 1,500 wars, attacks and raids on Indians, the most of any country in the world against its indigenous people.

The latter statement is true. The 1,500 wars, more than any other invader against the natives, all the Natives, of an entire continent. And they were wiped out. Actually  the USA was founded on a holocaust, full ethnic annihilation. The idiotic Nazis tried, deliberately, to follow the US model of massacring the Natives… Not realizing how much guile had been put in the Anglo-Saxon American racial annihilation.

So the part “U.S. government to authorize over 1,500 wars, attacks and raids on Indians, the most of any country in the world against its indigenous people.” is true…

However, the part:”From the time Europeans arrived on American shores, the frontier — the edge territory between white man’s civilization and the untamed natural world —” became a shared space of vast, clashing differences.” …contains several grievous lies. There was no “untamed natural world”: native Americans were growing corn, a man-made plant, and getting most of their calories from it, in many parts.

Massive extermination wars created English New England. Hey, the savages resisted civilization. Slavery was of great help, not just scalps. Still, in modern US lore, one is much more ready to talk about the Salem with trials, than about the Holocaust of the North American Natives. Had the French been in charge, none of this would have happened…

There was nothing “natural” about the giant empires of the Andes, the Amazon, and Mesoamerica. The hint that only “white men” were civilized is not correct: the Mesoamerican civilizations were quite advanced in many ways. It is known that Spanish priests, a century before the Anglo-Saxons landed and massacred in North America, had a hard and interesting time trying to persuade Aztec thinkers of the error of their ways.

It’s true that the Conquistadors misbehaved against many of the empires and states they met… even seeing the rogue 1529-30 campaign of Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán attacking a state, west of the Aztecs which had nothing abusive about it and had carefully avoided any confrontation with  the Europeans…. However that was highly controversial in Spain at the time (16th Century), and the main perpetrator, Guzmán, was arrested in 1536 and spent the rest of his long life trying to justify his attack… And that attack was no holocaust: although lake Chapala (80 kilometers long) is the largest lake in Mexico, is lays in very productive region with a very nice climate (at 1500 meters). Although colonized by the Spanish, the local Nahuatl population remained primarily Amerindian through the next several centuries.

***

1508: When the French Government of Louis XII Became Fully Aware of the Riches of North America:

The French, arrived much earlier than the Anglo-Saxons in North America: in 1534 for Cartier in Canada, and even earlier, in 1508-1527, with various French explorers starting Thomas Aubert’s ship called La Pensée, for Verrazano… who went back for more on a French ship commandeered by the French government of Francois I. The French explorers discovered Nouvelle Angouleme, aka New Amsterdam, aka New York…

As Aubert official report put it: American regions “pouvaient fournir de riches pelleteries, que les mers voisines abondaient en morue et que la pêche de ce poisson serait un élément inépuisable de richesse par les bénéfices qu’elle procurerait.” (American territories could provide wealthy fur industries, surrounding seas were crowded with cod, providing inexhaustible wealth.)

Although tempted by the wealth of America, the early French explorers of New England, Canada and the Eastern Seaboard HOWEVER reported to French society and government that the Natives told them that trading with them was great, but that they were NOT WELCOME to settle and colonize.

Now, at the time, France was the super power, with the highest civilizational level, the biggest, best army, and several times the population of England, long the other super power. France had an ongoing military conflict with England, which believed, due to dynastic considerations, that it owned France, and France was also engaged in war with expansionist, fascist, crusading, vengeful Spain, which had been busy expelling the French from Southern Italy and Mediterranean islands, which the French had reconquered from the Muslim invaders… three centuries earlier. Ironically enough, both England and Spain owed their existence to France. In any case, had France unleashed her power in conquering North America, she would have made short work of it. Why didn’t she?

Yes, why didn’t France conquer all of North America? It was not out of military weakness: France was the world top military power. The war between France and Spain would end up, after two centuries, with the crushing victory of France (and part of it was the “80 year war” which created the Netherlands). It was very simple: France didn’t conquer North America the hard way, the Natives were willing to tolerate trading counters, but not much more than that. The French could have landed with canons (after all it’s with that French invention, the field gun, that the French had ended the “100 year war”, two centuries earlier)… Cortez’s way.

In consequence of this situation, the reluctance of the Natives to be colonized that the civilized French established a trading, civilizing model which eschewed massacres.  When Champlain showed up exactly at the same spot as the Pilgrims of the Mayflower, in 1600, and went on to explore the entire region, he reported that there were too many Natives already installed to enable settlement of the French.

***

So, contrarily to what US mythology traditionally claims, it’s not true that as soon as Europeans started to arrive, so did the massacres, and Holocausts. This is a pathetic lie to justify the Anglo-Saxon massacring colonization model (still in power today)

The English colony was founded in a military-capitalist venture founded by the “West Country men”. Those plutocrats had made a fortune by over-exploiting Ireland. The governor there had alleys lined with Irish skulls, to instill the proper attitude in various guests.

Slavery had been made unlawful in 655 CE by Queen Bathilde of the Franks (truly an empress). In 1066 CE, the Franks outlawed slavery in England. Yet, the Anglo-Saxons colonists reintroduced slavery in 1619 CE. Shortly after, after the holocaust of the Pequot war, New England cities paid for Indian scalps.

The Anglo-Saxon colonies soon made a fortune by growing tobacco, thanks to armies of slaves (sometimes more than 90% of some states were just slaves).

The violence and brutality of the Anglo-Saxon colonizing model enabled it to beat the French and the Spanish (who were much friendlier to the Natives, and bred with them). All of this was justified by the Bible…which is a text which justifies, makes holy, colonizing the promised land after killing all the Natives: that’s how “God” orders it to be… If one obeys Him well….

Such is the paradox. The very evil of the “West Country Men” invading and holocausting colonization insured iits success. The French became victims of the all too advanced “mission civilisatrice” they abided by. Just an example: resistance to the US human right abuse in Colorado was led by five French half-breeds. They were all hanged (I searched the Internet in vain for that story I was familiar with, when I lived in Colorado, decades ago; another example of how the Internet buries reality to make it serve the established order).

Morality 1: Thanksgiving as usually represented is a manipulation of the grossest order… but it works. Talk to US children (as I do) and they will tell you the Indians happily fed the “Pilgrims”. Those “Pilgrims” have got to have been really nice. Not that said “Pilgrims”, morally justified by a strict reading of the Bible, stole a continent from its occupants… by killing them all [2]. Worse: US children have internalized the greed, profit, at the cost of the basest morality, fully. Watch the children (including my own daughter, nota bene) go around threatening “tricks” if they are not given “treats” at Halloween… And if you are skeptical, well, you are anti-American, anti-children inhuman, you will be “cancelled”. And then children are fully formed by the likes of “Frozen” were a self obsessed queen engineers (unwittingly, of course, it’s always… “unwittingly”) a climate catastrophe… [3].

***

Morality 2: There is a flaw such as being too much civilized, when one wants to advance… civilization, at some point, it has to get dirty. Amusingly, the Anglo-Saxons, when they got down to it, pulverized Hitler loving German cities: they applied to Germans the way that had been so fruitful for conquering North America. The Nazis were not eliminated with negotiations, but extermination. Nothing else could have worked.[4]

The colonization model of the French in North America, or elsewhere around the world failed, because it was too gentle.

Just an example: French women who wanted to go to Canada in the Seventeenth Century were only allowed to do so, if they were Catholics in very good moral standing (prostitutes not welcome). By comparison, English justice sent the homeless to America, as “endured servants” (slaves). England had plenty of homeless, as the plutocrats owned most of the country… whereas French peasants owned their land (however modest), so France suffered less homelessness than England. Something similar happened in Tasmania, Algeria. In New Caledonia, more than 50% of the population is aboriginal: compare to Australia, or Tasmania next door. Had the Tasmanian natives received the French more kindly (instead of ambushing nude French sailors)… Their descendants would still be around today. [5]

Want civilization? Prepare to win the war. Whatever the war, it’s coming. Moral righteousness won’t prevent it. This is what the history of Thanksgiving shows. Doing it the English way was too criminal, doing it the French way, not criminal enough. Only survival is perfect.

[1] The 1619 arrival of 38 English settlers in Charles City County, Virginia, concluded with a religious celebration as dictated by the group’s charter from the London Company, which specifically required “that the day of our ships arrival at the place assigned … in the land of Virginia shall be yearly and perpetually kept holy as a day of thanksgiving to Almighty God.” The 1621 Plymouth feast and thanksgiving was prompted by a good harvest, which the Pilgrims celebrated with Native Americans, who helped them get through the previous winter by giving them food in that time of scarcity.

There was also disease; however, not just distribution of smallpox blankets… Virulent Eurasiatic contagious disease struck the hardest was at point of first landing, most civilized Mesoamerica: by 1600 CE, 95% of the aborigine Aztecs were dead, mostly from disease. Yet, if one goes to Mexico now, individuals with mixed European-Aboriginal genetics are thick on the ground. French, Mandarin, Indo-European Languages; Why Multilingualism Brings Higher Wisdom

June 14, 2019

Multilingualism is a basic human capability, long honed by biological evolution. It may be necessary to achieve the highest mental capabilities, as multilingual speakers learn to adjudicate between modes of expression, the most advanced form of thinking.

So which languages? Excellent article by my frenemy Mehdi Lazar, summarizing well most of the situation with French:”The New Dynamic of French In The World.”. To point out that French and Mandarin are the most important languages (with English, de facto lingua franca) is crucial. Indeed, French is basically the core language of Europe: it is grammatically impoverished Latin bastardized with German prepositions, where many words have been phonetically and alphabetically simplified from the Latin originals. English was an afterthought. French is a fast evolving language (hopefully to go with fast minds).

This understates reality: for example North Africa spoke Latin for 900 years before the Arab invasion. Modern Latin, that is French, is widely understood, practiced and spoken in the Maghreb (in spite of efforts by local dictators of Islamist inspiration to kill it). Africa, light green, has to speak Latin derived languages (including English), because there are way too many native languages (or slave derived languages like Swahili)

Compare say the French “opital” from the original Latin “hospitalis”… English, which is actually more conservative than French, is in between with “HoSpital”: the H and S are still pronounced in English, not in French. The french found that the aspired H in the beginning, the S in the middle, and the “IS” at the end, were all useless, so they dropped them!

English, although technically classified as a “Germanic” language is mostly poorly pronounced French, and the more so, the more sophisticated the vocabulary is (85% + of words in common). Naturally, per its central position in Western Europe, French is then a happy medium between English and the other “romance” languages.

Now the baby elephant in the porcelain shop is that unruly child of Great Britain and France, the USA. Ironically enough, the dreaded “Anglo-Saxons” contribute to French by often going back to the Latin, that is, the original French, and creating words that way.

Here is an example: impact. The word appeared in English circa 1600, for “press closely into something,” from Latin impactus, past participle of impingere “to push into, drive into, strike against”. The word appears in French science and technological vocabulary only in 1824. But not just that, it’s an extremely important word, as it expresses the transmission of force (= how things act upon each other). Thus, in US English it has come to be used, since the 1990s as a… verb. As in: this essay impacts linguistics hard.

Thus it’s only a matter of time before the French verb “impacter” appears… and it would be a very useful verb… created as words should be created in French, going to the original Latin.

Another view: this time more of Africa shows up. Erroneously, but it’s a traditional error, English is not viewed as a Greco-Roman language (although it is fundamentally Greco-Roman, with more than 85% sophisticated words basically French…

Multilingualism is natural, humanity evolved as multilingual: our brains are made to learn several languages, and it enables us to better learn to adjudicate thoughts and forms of expression.

How so? Transportation was extremely difficult in the world of the past, except in those few places with steppe (like the Eurasian steppe, which goes from Hungary to Korea, that enormous freeway in the middle of Eurasia). Thus people evolved many languages even over very short distances. An example is Senegal: in this small countries, seven languages evolved, and some are tonal (Serer) and others not (Wolof). This is typical of the past, so human beings had to be multilingual.

However, there are only that many languages one can learn: French and Mandarin are the great linguistic anchors of the world, a continent apart.

But not just this: except for deplorable episodes such as the ephemeral collapses of the Greco-Roman and Chinese states under the invasions of various savages, Western Europe and China have long been at the forefront of civilization, spearheading progress. Learning basic Chinese arithmetic is fascinating: the Chinese found more rational ways to do it.

The state of Qin and the contemporaneous Roman Republic were remarkably based on the same principles of law, reason and technological progress… and that’s why they founded great empires (alive and well to this day, as descendant regimes). Actually the present inchoate world government embodied by the United Nations rests on Roman Republican legal principles, or even the letter of the Roman law (that’s similar to the Qin obsession with law… which was even applied to one of its most ardent proponent, a famous Qin PM who finished quartered by horses, as the law prescribed for the sort of corruption he had unfortunately engaged in…)

China understood the importance of intellectualism (the “Mandarin” examination system) and science… And that is why China was so successful, and the anchor civilization of East Asia (Japan and Vietnam used to employ Chinese character… Although the French switched Vietnam, and japan evolved a bit on its own…) Thus, from all this will to advanced thinking, China invented many technologies the world uses now. Even in the Nineteenth Century, Chinese drilling for natural gas, one kilometer down, or more, was the world’s most advanced.

The Frankish empire, both Merovingian and Carolingian, soon renamed itself “Renovatio Imperium Romanum”. Indeed, it “renovated” Rome on way better principles: no more terrorizing, stupidifying, sordid Christian fanaticism… and, soon enough, no more slavery: Saint Queen Bathilde outlawed the slave trade in 655 CE… Throughout much of Western Europe. So when the Franks invaded England in 1066, they freed the 20% of slaves there. These philosophical changes had huge economic, social and military impacts…

Thus learning French and Mandarin is not just about speaking what many speak, and will speak. It’s about learning what made civilization what it has become… including learning the grave errors which made it so much better.

The “mission civilisatrice” is not over, it’s just starting. It’s not just a matter of feeling, and being, superior, it’s a matter of surviving. And not just for this species, but for the entire biosphere. You all will learn to think better, or you will learn to die, sordid. Go multilingual!

Climate Catastrophe: California Forests Dying. Giant Fires Coming In 2018

January 10, 2018

Power corrupts, and apocalyptic power corrupts apocalyptically.

The Sierra Nevada forests are dying. The deterioration in a few weeks has been spectacular.  I did twice the same long-range high altitude run in 6 weeks, and I was astounded by the deterioration, during those six weeks. I would have expected such a deterioration in 6 years, and would have called it fast. A related, but greater worry occurred when I discovered hundreds of bear tracks in the snow at 9,000 feet. In the middle of winter, bears, up high in the mountains, are supposed to sleep. It looked instead as if they were looking for dinner: ain’t cold enough! And dinner there is! Besides yours truly, I saw deer happily grazing at 8,000 feet. In January. A picture is worth a long discourse:

December 31, 2017. Picture From Tahoe Rim Trail At 8,200 feet, looking down 300 meters (1000′) lower, towards the south. The forest should be green, if not covered with snow. Instead thousands of the conifers below are grey, or rust color. All dead, or dying. Many of these trees are centuries old, and are uniquely adapted to high altitude. Next summer, after the first lightning strike accompanied by a gusty wind, they will all burn. Notice the spectacular absence of snow, in the heart of winter. Thirty years ago, you would have had ten feet of snow there. For eight months.

Many naive locals think the trees are dying from drought. Actually they are dying from an invasion of Bark Beetles. Up to a few years ago, the Bark Beetles were killed by hard freeze. Now, because of the global warming, the hard freeze happens only at higher elevation. A rough computation says that one loses 7 degrees Centigrade per 1,000 meters gain. As the Sierra has arguably warmed up by 3 degrees Centigrade, that would correspond to an altitude gain for the Bark Beetles of 500 meters, as observed. Lower elevation trees, such as giant Ponderosa pines, are genetically adapted to the Bark Beetles.

In some places, woodpeckers thrive, as they find the Bark Beetles delicious. However, the trees are otherwise unexploitable. The trees rot, and, once down, one can kick right through them. This also makes the trunks soft and younger trees bend, while still alive. Example: t

Picture at 7,000 feet (2,150 meters). High altitude conifers, beautiful white firs, behind with the rust color should be green. The tree in front had its trunk so weakened by the beetles, it is bent. This is very frequent with younger trees..

White firs are now dying in large numbers. The primordial cause for the fir mortality is the fir engraver (Scolytus ventralis), a small black bark beetle that flies to a tree (often in high numbers), bores an entrance hole, excavates an egg gallery, and lays up to 300 eggs. The larvae feed on the cambium layer underneath the bark, creating a maze of small galleries. If the adult gallery or the larvae galleries girdle the tree, the flow of water and nutrients is blocked – killing the tree. The trees only defense is gluing the offenders in sap, but they need to have plenty of water to produce sap. Not the case during this millennial drought.

Notice the tini tiny patch of snow, just above the word “snow”. A few years ago, this would be covered with snow for 6 months each winter. (It is taken in an ex (?) cross-country ski area, Tahoe X country… X country areas have not opened in Tahoe this year, nor will they. All the dead or dying trees in this picture were healthy looking, two years ago.

When people think of “climate change”, they repeat that soporific, propaganda laden semantics, “climate change”. A soothing incantation. Like, excuse me, I will change now. This is mistaken: climate change will show up, and already shows up as “galloping glaciers” (yes! Albeit counterintuitive), hundreds of millions of dead trees, enormous fires of a style generally associated to an asteroid impact, surging seas, giant storms, lethal massive floods, droughts unheard of, in the last three million years. Oh, yes, because the climate may reverse 50 million years in a few decades. Time travel is upon us.

It’s not “climate change”. It’s climate catastrophe.

Patrice Aymé

P/S: Most of the world’s mountain, temperate and Arctic forests are threatened by a similar catastrophe. As they burn, the CO2 greenhouse will evolve into a CO2 greenhouse chain reaction. I am against geoengineering, as a misplaced hope. However, I am not against bioengineering. Powerful biological weapons should be brought to bear upon the devouring insects. One may be capable of slowing them down through sterilization programs. And then there is the possibility of using gene drives.

Why the rush? because it’s urgent! At this rate, California, or Pacific Northwest forests may disappear in five years. Applications of gene drive include preventing the spread of insects that carry pathogens (in particular, mosquitoes that transmit malaria, dengue, and zika pathogens), controlling invasive species… The technique can be used for adding, disrupting, or modifying genes, in such a way as to cause a crash in the population of a disease vector by reducing its reproductive capacity. The San Francisco Bay Area, a great bio research center, endowed with self-declared “philanthropists”, should re-orient itself as a tree-huggers capital… Considering the disaster, one can take some risks (with a well-chosen method, it’s not clear there is any, differently from the hare brained geoengineering proposals…)

USA, Rogue Nation, To Biosphere:”You Are Fired!”

June 1, 2017

Yes, Trump says:”You are fired!” to the biosphere. It is funny to those who have a macabre sense of humor. To this firing, the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Junker replied that Trump didn’t understand things, in particular, the law.

Europe’s duty is to say: it’s not like that,” Juncker said. “The Americans can’t just leave the climate protection agreement. Mr. Trump believes that because he doesn’t know the details.” Juncker also noted the lengths European leaders had gone to in trying to explain the Paris accord to Trump while in Taormina, Italy, at the G7 summit. “We tried to explain that to Mr. Trump in Taormina in clear German sentences,” Juncker said. “It seems that our attempt failed, but the law is the law, and it must be obeyed. Not everything which is law and not everything in international agreements is fake news, and we have to comply with it.

Trump pulls out of the Paris Climate accord to, he said, “to pursue a new deal which preserves our country”. Several times in his speech, Trump fired broadsides at the city of Paris (obviously the youth, and intellectual dominance of French president Macron rubbed him the wrong way, something not improved when Macron invited Putin at Versailles, the next day, 300 years to the day, after the Czar Peter the Great visited (with his harem) . Russia piously announced, as Xi did, that Russia stayed with Paris.

US Secret Service is not amused. US comedian Kathy Griffin this week.
The cut head depicts the quality of the debate in the USA. Instead of advancing constructive solutions, the opposition to Trump is turning to Jihad. I have nothing against smart Jihad for the highest causes. However, this is not what is going-on. Most of the opposition to Trump seems to want to cut off his head, and little else crosses their mind, aside from this burning desire. However the maximal US oil production, and the maximal US fossil fuel burning we are experiencing now, were not caused by Trump, but by previous governance and social behaviors, some generations old. Trump, in more ways than one, depicts the US all too well…

In turn, the preceding comedian’s employer, CNN, chopped her off…

Several times, Trump went on a litany of American cities that “it’s time to put ahead of Paris, France.” Including Pittsburgh, who Trump wants to put ahead of Paris. Pittsburgh voted 80% for Hillary Clinton… Trump’s Paris condemnations were a funny mish mash of French bashing, climate bashing and America First. Actually, I am unfair: Trump was careful not to bash the climate. His argument is, in part, that the Paris accord will make a reduction of temperature corresponding with two weeks of Chinese pollution (besides being false, this is silly, because the Paris Accord was more of a mood than a very precise planning.)

What Trumpists are saying, and there is some validity to it, is that the US reduced its per capita CO2 emissions by 18% from its peak. However, temperature change from Paris according to MIT would be 2/10 of degree Centigrade by 2100, add the exalted Trumpists. Even the Secretary of State, Tillerson, let it be known that he viewed quitting Paris was a mistake, the US would have gotten more by staying inside..

Trump could pull out of the United Nations in ALL environmental matters. In one year. Barring this, pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord will take so long that it will become effective only under the next US President. The Paris Climate Accord was signed by ALL of the planets countries, 197 countries. Except for Syria and Nicaragua. Nicaragua wanted a STRONGER Paris accord, and is expected to sign. Syria had no representation at Paris at the time because of civil war.

All the world’s countries came together on climate. Trump says it does not matter. Tribalism is what counts, and tribalism is pricky. Trump is afraid other countries were going “to laugh” at the USA. Like the average angry domineering chimp, he had to do something crazy to show everybody that nobody laughs at him. (It seems the opposite is happening!)

That seems to be a psychological mistake. All what the US is now saying is that having a rogue nation is a good thing. So does that mean that North Korea is a good thing? The US is also saying it does not mind going rogue. First strike on north Korea?

The USA’s economic and then general dominance has been greatly due to being the world number one user of energy. Why? Because the USA is full of cheap energy, especially oil, and now gas. All these fossil fuels to burn in that good healthy terrestrial air. That made the USA the world’s most powerful nation, literally. That also made the USA the world’s most polluting nation.

Right now the US oil production is the greatest ever. Ever. And it’s still augmenting. Why? Cheap energy. How? Fracking.

Fracking was not a new technology, but it exploded when the price of oil went up to $150 a barril. How did that happen? The Iraq war.

Now what?

The Paris Accord had two faces. One was PC: it was Politically Correct to transfer 100 billion dollars to poor countries, a sort of hush money. Many countries will disappear under the ocean, though, because the other aspect of the paris Accord came short. Under Paris, CO2 emissions would keep on augmenting, at least short term. The danger being that we reach the point where the warming feeds on itself. And we are very close to it; my most catastrophic predictions made in the distant past are now proffered by a few official scientists.

So what to do?

To mitigate the climate crisis, we need a global carbon tax. Anything else is amusement and PC self-serving make-belief.

The problems Trump instill with his rejection of Paris is that he sets a negative mood. However, they have the interest to point out a general mentality in the governing spheres of the USA, which I have long pointed out…

Because Trump didn’t do this alone. Obama was unable to ratify the Paris Accord and weakened it, because there is a long tradition in the USA of “America First”, Devil may care. This, I have long claimed, led to machinations which made both World War One and World War Two possible: had US opposition to fascist germany been made clear, Germany would not have been crazy enough to engage in war the two countries which gave birth to the USA, namely France (twice, directly and indirectly) and Britain. Instead, mood setting ancestors of Trump maneuvered to make Germany believe they would support its craziest ways.

Now we can see the US the way it really has long been: as a rogue nation, ready to anything to gain a bit of greed, here and there. Pathetic, but revealing.

Hope? Yes. Renegotiate, world against the USA, but this time throw a carbon tax into the mix. Trump threw the gauntlet, knights in shining armor will pick it up…

Trumped By Jurassic Climate Nonlinearly Erupting

November 19, 2016

Trump is climate skeptic, it is said, but the climate is not skeptic about Trump. Humanity is the crew, and Earth the spaceship. Trump is now in charge, if anybody is in charge, after eight years of … boyhood. It’s supposed to be a racial insult, I learned. But question: where is the insult, when a 47-year-old (age of Obama when he was sworn in) is supposed to lead the planet, knowing what few other know (as Joe Biden reminded us this week).

Obama went to Germany, and sang the praises of Angela Merkel, her wisdom, etc. Arguably, however, Merkel has been disastrous: her austerity policy, combined with her refusal to support France militarily in a significant way, by re-establishing peace in Syria, manu military, has brought more than one million refugees to Germany, and a near economic and political collapse of Europe (think Brexit, exodus from Portugal, etc.)

All what Obama knows is that his financial sponsors and paymasters tell him austerity is great, Quantitative Easing is great, inequality is great, but we can live with it, etc.

Spectacular Heat Is On Where It Hurts Most: The High Arctic

Spectacular Heat Is On Where It Hurts Most: The High Arctic. November 2016.

Meanwhile, Earth’s climate is acting up. The temperature in the Arctic is way above normal. A full twenty degrees Celsius above normal (that’s 36 degrees F above normal). As a result, ice is having a problem forming. Should the situation perdure until the sun starts shining again above the Arctic, a complete disappearance of sea ice, comes next summer, is imaginable… Sea ice levels in at the North Pole are at a record low, by a long shot.

Planetary climate is self-regulating… Except if pushed too far. Planetary climate consists in several entangled machines. The overall climate pattern in place in the last three million years is a Carnot engine, with a heat source, the tropic, and a cold sink, the poles.

Right now, the poles are still very cold, but more energy has been pumped into the tropics, from the increasing greenhouse (what’s called “climate forcing”, 60% due to COE, 17% due to CH4, and the rest completely from man-made gases like NOx). Thus the climate engine is roaring more than ever (it gets more efficient, from an equation Carnot discovered nearly two centuries ago). An effect, as I predicted long ago, is that more energy will be stored dynamically (jet stream twisted all over) and potentially (high and low pressure systems both more so).

This is what we observe.

How will it evolve? Among the entangled machinery, some is (still) dormant: fabulous quantities of methane are locked in a sort of ice in medium depth sea floor, and more in the tundra. Should those be released, the temperature of the planet would go up five degrees Celsius nearly instantaneously, and, in turn, huge quantities of CO2 locked in the northern latitudes would be released.

Once the latter happens (it’s more a question of when, not if, barring vast technological advances), Earth would go back to Jurassic conditions nearly instantaneously.

What can one do? First have everybody understand the danger. Differently from the dinosaurs, or the mammals who lived under them, we have the means to understand and act.

Obama had as National Security Adviser a politically, dynastically connected woman, with lots of stocks and connections, but not a warrior. Trump just selected as National Security adviser a four (no, three, thanks Richard Reinhofer!) star Lieutenant General, Michael Flynn. Flynn, ex head of the Delta Force, became Director Army Intelligence in 2012 (however, Obama never met with him, and fired him for being too tough about Radical Islamism). That’s a rational choice. Flynn is a “registered Democrat” (that is, not GOP).

The general considers “RATIONAL” to be afraid of Islam. And then recommended to propagate that message, because rationality is not afraid (OK, agreed, Flynn made the mistake of saying “afraid of Muslims” instead, as he should have, “afraid of Islam”.)

General Flynn ✔@GenFlynn

Fear of Muslims is RATIONAL: please forward this to others: the truth fears no questions... http://youtu.be/tJnW8HRHLLw

5:14 PM – 26 Feb 2016 Or this:@FieldofFight Obama and Hillary’s Refusal to Name Radical Islamic Terrorism: Aiming to ‘Dumb Us Down’ – Breitbart

As the New York Times puts it: “General Flynn…sees the United States as facing a singular, overarching threat that can be described in only one way: “radical Islamic terrorism. All else is secondary for General Flynn, and any other description of the threat is “the worst kind of political correctness,” he said in an interview three weeks before the election.

Islamist militancy poses an existential threat on a global scale, and the Muslim faith itself is the source of the problem, he said, describing it as a political ideology, not a religion. He has even at times gone so far as to call it a cancer.

For General Flynn, the election of Mr. Trump represents an astounding career turnaround. Once counted among the most respected military officers of his generation, General Flynn was fired after serving only two years as chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency. He then re-emerged as a vociferous critic of a Washington elite that he contended could not even properly identify the real enemy — radical Islam, that is — never mind figure out how to defeat it.”

I have argued that Literal Islam is totally incompatible with civilization. And the best proof is that what was long the world’s richest area, the Middle East (including the Fertile Crescent, Syria, Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolia) became one of the poorest.

Clearly the voters agreed (Trump destroyed the famed “Blue Wall” of states Democrats thought were secured, and thus got a large Electoral College victory).

Islam, a savage-from-the-desert Middle Age system of thoughts and moods is nothing much, a self-destructive obsession. However, as it has invaded the Western psyche, it has become a distracting cancer. To handle the serious problems, like the planet blowing up, we have to reduce this sort of maddening distractions. Nor can we talk falsely about Islam, while talking truly about the climate. The mood of telling the truth has to be global. Irreverential. The Obama administration and its poodle regimes (Merkel, France, etc.) have been talking falsely not just about Islam, but also about economics, society, globalocracy, plutocracy, taxes, taxes on the wealthiest, corporate fascism, dark money, etc.

They talked falsely about Islam, precisely because the Obama adminstration, and the Deep State

Obama, talking at Der Spiegel: “Many people who voted for me, voted for Trump… I think that’s indicative that there is some impulse towards some sort of change, politicans have to be more sensitive to the desire for change.” where have you been my lost son? Obama sounds increasingly like Sleeping Beauty waking up after eight years’ slumber…

In any case, Trump is telling the truth about Islam, or even Mexicans (“terrific people”). Let’s keep truth momentum. Trump seems willing to replace wishful thinking by rationality (just as the pivot to Russia, however worrisome and potentially dangerous it is, is better than Obama’s boiled noodle opposition).

Meanwhile, there is little doubt that the climate has started to act nonlinearly.  It will be rational to also act even more nonlinearly in return.

Plutocracy Causes Cancer

April 4, 2016

PLUTOCRACY CORRUPTS NOT JUST SOULS, BUT BODIES

The most advanced countries claims not to be corrupt. They publish propaganda to this effect every year. The USA has even a “Foreign Corrupt Practice Act”, which is not just used to eliminate rivals, but to bludgeon in the mind of its naïve citizens, that the US is not corrupt. That the most advanced Western countries are not corrupt, is mostly an opinion about themselves that the powers which rule these countries have imprinted their subjects that they should hold it. And we will show here that it is obviously wrong.

Indeed, if the most advanced countries are as little corrupt as they claim to be, why do they fester with so much cancer? Should we not view cancer as a form of corruption? A corruption of the body? An objective form of corruption, which does not lie? Could we then see this map of true corruption appear objectively, by looking at the world’s cancer rate?

Hard To Swallow. Rate of Stomach Cancer, Worldwide. Euramerica Festers With Most Corrupt Stomachs. Could It Be From Poisons Ingested To Make Plutocrats Ever More Powerful?

Hard To Swallow. Rate of Stomach Cancer, Worldwide. Euramerica Festers With Most Corrupt Stomachs. Could It Be From Poisons Ingested To Make Plutocrats Ever More Powerful?

Could it be that this corruption of the body come from a corruption of the institutions?

Arlene Blum, famous mountaineer and scientist put it in a Science Magazine editorial, March 11, 2016, “Tackling Toxic:

“Most Americans believe that if a chemical is in their cosmetics, their coat, or their couch, someone is making sure it’s safe for their health. In reality, little toxicity information or regulation is required for 80,000 industrial chemicals used in commerce in the United States. To address this, legislation to update the ineffective 1976 Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) is currently moving through Congress. The hope is that it will lead to improved regulation of chemicals, but the extent and timeliness of the reform are not certain. In the meantime, the widespread use of harmful chemicals continues to pose a threat to our health and environment.

In 1977, Bruce Ames and I published a report that a flame retardant in children’s pajamas called “brominated Tris” was a mutagen and potential carcinogen. Three months later, it was banned from children’s pajamas, only to be replaced by “chlorinated Tris.” We determined that this too was a mutagen, and it was removed from pajamas. Such regrettable substitution of a harmful chemical with a less-studied cousin is like “a game of whack-a-mole,” according to Donald Kennedy (former editor-in-chief of Science and former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration).*

Unfortunately, highly fluorinated chemicals are now getting the regrettable substitution treatment. These chemicals provide stain and water repellency in outdoor clothing, nonstick cookware, furniture, carpet, cosmetics, and food contact paper. However, they are highly mobile, have no known degradation pathways in the environment, and can persist indefinitely.

Perfluorooctanoic acid, commonly called C8, has an estimated half-life of 2.3 years or more in humans and is associated with cancer, elevated serum cholesterol levels, and other health problems. C8 was phased out of consumer products in the United States last year, a half-century after toxicologists first revealed its potential for harm. It was replaced with numerous perfluorohexanoic acid (C6) compounds that are more rapidly excreted by humans but also show extreme environmental persistence. Are these replacements safe? There is limited research thus far on the toxicity of the C6 alternatives. However, they are increasing in the environment and in human blood, and they share the potential toxicity of their C8 relatives.

One solution to the regrettable substitution problem is to address entire families or classes containing toxic chemicals rather than tackling them one at a time. For example, the Green Science Policy Institute, an organization of scientists that promotes the responsible use of chemicals, has called for a 50% reduction over the next 5 years in the use of six families of chemicals in consumer products, whose studied members have been found to be harmful: highly fluorinated chemicals, antimicrobials, flame retardants, bisphenols and phthalates, organic solvents, and certain metals. Before using such substances in products, we should ask “Do we need this chemical, given the potential for harm?”

Worldwide Incidence Of Cancer, Age Adjusted. Rich World, Rich In Subjugation To Plutocrats, Rich In Corruption, Rich In Cancer

The good news is that companies are starting to act: Kaiser Permanente, IKEA, Levi Strauss & Co., and Crate and Barrel are phasing out highly fluorinated and other chemical classes of concern from the products they buy, produce, and/or sell.

Scientists can contribute by evaluating health and environmental impacts across a chemical’s life cycle and looking for safer alternatives. They can make policy recommendations and collaborate on consensus documents. In 2015, 230 scientists from 40 countries signed the Madrid Statement, expressing concern regarding the persistence and toxicity of both the highly fluorinated C8 chemicals and the C6 alternatives. Scientists can catalyze dialogue and action among manufacturers, retailers, and large purchasers and have an immediate impact in reducing the use of harmful chemicals.

Such actions by the scientific community can, along with meaningful TSCA reform, improve the health of the population and the environment. Most important of all, it will make our planet healthier and safer for future generations.

Dr. Blum works at UC Berkeley in the world’s most famous laboratory detecting the carcinogenicity of products. It was founded, many decades ago, by Dr. Ames, and is now the golden standard in that field. Dr. Ames noticed that mutagenicity implied carcinogenicity, and found easy in vitro tests for the former.

So none of 80,000 industrial chemicals used everyday in households and foods have been appropriately tested.

This is probably why so many people die of Parkinson (Andy Grove, founder of Intel just did so, at 79). In any case this is why the hundreds of thousands of California Monarchs which used to fly around, have disappeared (I saw one yesterday, just one, next to the flower they prefer, but which now have become very rare). Parkinson was unknown before Parkinson identified it in the 1820s in England.

This is also no doubt why the cancer rate of brain tumors has quadrupled since 1950.

Meanwhile a few people control half the wealth in the world… PRECISELY because the mood reigns that, among other things, chemicals should not be tested appropriately, or known thoroughly. It may well be why autism rates have blossomed.

After all, latest generation insecticides, neonicotinoids, a way to make insects smoke, and, thus, die, give a sort of Alzheimer to bees (and probably not just bees, methinks).

The same mood that dangerous people doing dangerous things should be left in peace plotting with their co-conspirators, means that, when Apple Inc. does the “double Irish” tax avoidance scheme through the British Virgin Islands, to become the most “valuable’ company in the world, little people thank Apple to be so vigilant about their iphones’ vaunted secrecy.

Corruption does not have to involved lots of money. Thanks to 2,000 strikes by Russian aircraft Palmyra was just liberated from the Wahhabists. Documents just read by French TV in Palmyra, show that an Islamist fighter could buy a woman for six months, for the modest price of three Euros. Yes, three.

Meanwhile, a leak of 11.5 million documents out of just one law firm in Panama shows much greater lawlessness than expected.

That leak, with just one law firm, shows how Global Demonic Plutocracy (GDP) pays the political leaders which it employs.

Let’s notice in passing my astounding foresight: I wrote on this site last week that Obama went to Argentina, to celebrate the reinstitution in Argentina of made in the US corruption. Sure enough, within days, the Argentine apparent Criminal In Chief, Mr. Macri, the new president, offered money to Vulture Funds based in New York. No doubt those New York Vultures billionaires could have fed discreetly the companies that said law firm is managing for Mr. Macri, the Argentinian Corrupter In Chief. The way it works is that local natives lend their names to head said companies, nominally speaking, allowing the likes of Mr. Macri, or the president of Iceland, or Ukraine, to be paid by Global Demonic Plutocracy.

It would be interesting to add up how many people the GDP kills each year. Considering everything, all the avoidable causes of death fosters onto us by the greedsters, it may well be above twenty millions. And this is even before the next large wars its policies may bring (as they did in 1914).

It’s a lunatic asylum out there, and, naturally, the inmates are not happy, when informed of that fact. After all, they elect their leaders, lionize plutocrats, and live exactly as they are told to live: by not taking great pleasure in asking as many uncomfortable questions, as they can possibly imagine. Instead the average male becomes an expert at sport scores of celebrities, like the despicable Mr. Messi (many times the best soccer player in the world, whatever that means for those addicted to sport scores…). Messi is one of 140 celebrities nabbed in the Panama papers. He is probably not one of the 150 sport celebrities given elicit drugs by this British doctor (his clientele was local, British super rich “sport” figures). It was long obvious that Spanish and British (let alone American) sport figures are drugged out (just look at their medals!)

That’s alright: those addicted to the scores of drug sports do not deserve any better.

But when we are all condemned to lunch, diner and what not, with Satan, and to eat the foods his obsequious servants the plutocrats, have concocted to poison us, I think we should draw a line…

Biblical Flood Starting Anew

February 23, 2016

Abstract: update on Sea Level Rise. The meat of the essay is at the end, in the section “THE SITUATION IS ACTUALLY CATACLYSMIC“.

Heard of The Flood? As in the Bible? Sea level rose 120 meters (400 feet), in the period centered around 10,000 years ago. The cause? More than half of Earth’s ice melted in a few millennia,  During the rest of the early Holocene, the rate of rise of the world’s ocean reached peaks as high as 60  millimeters (2.5 inches) per year. The melting of the ice happened because Earth’s positional and orbital parameters had made northern hemisphere’s summers too warm (most of the ice shields rested on the large continents of the north). Nowadays only two enormous ice shields are left: Greenland and Antarctica.

Those who enjoy catastrophes will love it: we have 75 meters of further sea rise to enjoy pretty soon, on our way to a Jurassic climate (the Jurassic was characterized by gigantic warm shallow seas on top of the continents). Her was the situation in the Miocene, when CO2 was at 500 ppm (where we will be at in ten years, see conclusion below).

Absent Drastic Measures Immediately, This Miocene Antarctica State Will Happen Right Away. In this picture, the WAIS, in front has collapsed, Wilkes and Aurora basins partly so. Google With my full name and the features to find out more.

Absent Drastic Measures Immediately, This Miocene Antarctica State Will Happen Right Away. In this picture, the WAIS, in front has collapsed, Wilkes and Aurora basins partly so. Google With my full name and the features to find out more.

[Even then, that picture from the U.of Mass. did not fully collapse the Aurora Basin, up right, which I expect to collapse first. Maybe they did not drill there, and are just speculating, whereas I have a reasoning on the Totten Glacier, outlet to the Aurora extremely deep basin, which is being quickly undermined as we speak.]

Says the New York Times in “Seas Are Rising at Fastest Rate in Last 28 Centuries”:

“The worsening of tidal flooding in American coastal communities is largely a consequence of greenhouse gases from human activity, and the problem will grow far worse in coming decades, scientists reported Monday.

Those emissions, primarily from the burning of fossil fuels, are causing the ocean to rise at the fastest rate since at least the founding of ancient Rome, the scientists said. They added that in the absence of human emissions, the ocean surface would be rising less rapidly and might even be falling.

The increasingly routine tidal flooding is making life miserable in places like Miami Beach; Charleston, S.C.; and Norfolk, Va., even on sunny days.

Though these types of floods often produce only a foot or two of standing saltwater, they are straining life in many towns by killing lawns and trees, blocking neighborhood streets and clogging storm drains, polluting supplies of freshwater and sometimes stranding entire island communities for hours by overtopping the roads that tie them to the mainland.”

In a way, this is Biblical justice, perfectly appropriate for a deeply Christian community: America has sinned, being, by far, the most country most guilty in the burning of fossil fuels (and don’t brandish China: this is the place where global plutocrats, mostly of US obedience, have their factories, so that they can escape all regulations, including those trying to abate fossil fuel burning (all European countries have de facto hefty carbon taxes).

The USA is guilty of letting its plutocrats run amok, not just subjugating civilization, unleashing the terrorists, but also, even worse, burning their way through the biosphere. Now the USA has to pay the price. New York Times:

“Such events are just an early harbinger of the coming damage, the new research suggests.

“I think we need a new way to think about most coastal flooding,” said Benjamin H. Strauss, the primary author of one of two related studies released on Monday. “It’s not the tide. It’s not the wind. It’s us. That’s true for most of the coastal floods we now experience.”

In the second study, scientists reconstructed the level of the sea over time and confirmed that it is most likely rising faster than at any point in 28 centuries, with the rate of increase growing sharply over the past century — largely, they found, because of the warming that scientists have said is almost certainly caused by human emissions.

They also confirmed previous forecasts that if emissions were to continue at a high rate over the next few decades, the ocean could rise as much as three or four feet by 2100.

Experts say the situation would then grow far worse in the 22nd century and beyond, likely requiring the abandonment of many coastal cities.

The findings are yet another indication that the stable climate in which human civilization has flourished for thousands of years, with a largely predictable ocean permitting the growth of great coastal cities, is coming to an end.

“I think we can definitely be confident that sea-level rise is going to continue to accelerate if there’s further warming, which inevitably there will be,” said Stefan Rahmstorf, a professor of ocean physics at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, in Germany, and co-author of one of the papers, published online Monday by an American journal, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

In a report issued to accompany that scientific paper, a climate research and communications organization in Princeton, N.J., Climate Central, used the new findings to calculate that roughly three-quarters of the tidal flood days now occurring in towns along the East Coast would not be happening in the absence of the rise in the sea level caused by human emissions…The change in frequency of those tides is striking. For instance, in the decade from 1955 to 1964 at Annapolis, Md., an instrument called a tide gauge measured 32 days of flooding; in the decade from 2005 to 2014, that jumped to 394 days.”

Four feet by 2100? 1,2 meter? That would be nice; it would give us plenty of time to correct the error of our ways. In truth, we are running out of time. I think a minimum of 40 feet (12 meters) is likely. By the way, we have enough refined knowledge now to know that the “Little Ice Age” between 1400 CE and 1800 CE dropped sea level by 8 centimeters.

THE SITUATION IS ACTUALLY CATACLYSMIC. The United Nations’ IPCC did not include in its computations the possible melting of the ice shields of Greenland and Antarctica. For three reasons: first, it was viewed as impossible, before, at least a few millennia; secondly, there was no mathematical model for the melting; finally, no plausible mechanism was held to be plausible to melt said ice shields.

My reasoning is the exact opposite: first an obvious mechanism for the melting of the ice shields exists: the ice shields can up up to 4 kilometers thick. Thus they press down on the continental crust so much, that much of Greenland and Antarctica is well below sea level. Not by just a few hundred feet, but outright, by kilometers. Deeper than the Grand Canyon. In these gigantic areas, the ice of the ice shields is in direct contact with the continental crust. Those areas are protected by rock thresholds on the margins of the ice shields (where the crust goes back up, because where the ice ends, there is no more weight pressing down on the continent).

Right now, warm water, which is denser at 4Centigrades (40 Fahrenheit), eats at the “grounding lines” of the ice shields where the ice of the shields touches the rock directly. When past the threshold, warm water will be able to drop down on the other side, deeper than the Grand Canyon, and should be able to shock fracture and melt a Texas sized ice shield ice shield in a few decades. That will be found all too soon.

Scientists presently handsomely paid to strike moderates postures will be very “surprised”.

Three scientific papers published in the last two months support my, admittedly drastic, point of view. One observed the collapse of a colossal glacier in northwest Greenland, eaten by a current at one degree C. It was a miniature reproduction of what to expect for entire ice shields. Two others observed the past, and that Antarctica was unstable at 500 ppm CO2. What they did not say is how dramatic the situation was. Indeed, sounding moderate is how they get funded by a benevolent, plutocratically ruled government (and by government, I also mean the corrupt Supreme Court, not just the latest elected buffoons). The scientists who evoked the 500 ppm of CO2 omitted two significant details, where the devil lurks. They claimed that it would take 30 years to get there. That’s not correct; at the present rate, we will add 100 ppm of CO2 within 25 years. But not just that: there are other man-made GreenHouse Gases (GHG): CH4, NOx, Fluorocarbons, etc. All these gases warm up the lower atmosphere much more than CO2. So the correct measurement is not CO2 ppm, but CO2 EQUIVALENT ppm.

We are right now ABOVE 450 ppm in EQUIVALENT CO2, and will be at 500 ppm within ten years. Let’s hope there will be more boats than on the Titanic.

Patrice Ayme’

P/S: If anything, the preceding is a conservative estimate. Indeed very serious scientists evaluated already the man-made greenhouse gases at 478 ppm in 2013. This means we will be above 500 ppm in CO2 equivalent within six years, in line with my previous analyses, such as “Ten Years To Catastrophe“. See:

How Civilizations Go Down. Why There Is Hope

January 2, 2016

Gloom and doom go only that far. A number of commenters, or authors such as Machiavelli, entertained pretty abysmal considerations on humanity and its future.

In the case of Machiavelli, pessimism was understandable: he rode two horses condemned to decline and fall, namely the Republic of Florence (which was turning into a plutocracy), and Caesare Borgia, Cardinal at 18 years of age, who later resigned his church position in an attempt to seize power in Italy, a place where Spain had invaded the south (freed centuries prior, by the Franks, from the Muslims), France was trying to hold onto Naples (but lost because the Spanish general in command was too good). Most of the peninsula was covered by forts and domains which had feuded for centuries.

Nowadays, we have grounds to be optimistic. I will explain why below. However with a caveat: history is now flowing extremely fast, as we are approaching a technological and computational, thus theoretical singularity.

We Already Have A Better Understanding Of What Brought Rome Down The First Time, We Can No Doubt Avoid It, The Second Time, With Even More Understanding

We Already Have A Better Understanding Of What Brought Rome Down The First Time, We Can No Doubt Avoid It, The Second Time, With Even More Understanding

There are three reasons why civilizations collapse: invasion, ecological collapse, plutocracy.

I use all the time analogies with Rome’s Decline and Fall, yet on a much grander scale than Edward Gibbon. I root firmly the Decline and Fall as starting in 200 BCE, with the rise of plutocracy. There are a lot of deep analogies between what happened then, and what is happening now.

Yet we also enjoy major differences with Rome. To avoid Rome’s fate, we have to cultivate these differences. (And our gaze turns towards the European Union.)

Rome was a quarter of humanity, and Roma was ALL the civilized, and Republican influence zone. Yes, China, India, Persia, and well before Egypt, were civilized. But only the only drowned and expired Sumerian cities could pretend to have a high Republican index: Sumer invented the bicameral system still in use today. Persia did not, China did not, and, as far as I know, neither did India.

But Rome, like the top Greek cities, was a Republic. However, most Greek cities crashed and burned within a century or so. Rome built a huge empire, and lasted so long, it’s not clear it ever stopped. Although it declined, and fell, it got up again, as the Franks engineered and observed. Thus Rome founded the present political system

Persia was advanced enough to seriously bother Greeks and Romans, it was only or equal civilizational level for a fleeting moment under Darius, and in the late Sixth Century (thus, 1,000 year later). (This is my own observation/theory, sure to rile up some out there!)

All the neighborhood of Rome was vastly inferior. Although the Celts were superior in ocean going ships and metallurgy, and even captured Rome in the Fourth Century BCE, their abominable religion was quite a drag.  Actually, it was such a drag, the Celts embraced Greco-Roman civilization even before Julius Caesar showed up with his ten legions.

The Persian religion, Zoroastrianism was very advanced, arguably more so than Christianism (which copied many of its elements, in particular the obsession with truth and the logos, thanks god). The Middle East got tied down by the instauration of “hydraulic dictatorships” all over. The Persian/Iranian/Mesopotamian ensemble was a vast military mess which never recovered imperially, thus politically, from the People of the Seas invasions.

Now the situation is quite different.

First, the USA is a EUROPEAN COLONY.Rome was not a colony; it was initially occupied by Etruscans, themselves one of the People of the Sea. But, at the same time, the Etruscans civilized Rome. Rome also got civilized by the “Magna Grecia”, the Great Greece of Southern Italy, stating in Nea Polis (Naples).

Second, the mother ship, Europe, gave birth to a gigantic empire. It’s not just that European colonies control the Americas and Australia. France, the USA and Britain Exclusive Economic Zones, EEZs, covers much of the world’s exploitable oceanic depths.

Although weakened by its own crazies (Prussia/Germany/Nazis, Mussolini, Franco, Lenin/Stalin and their subordinates), plus major American plutocratic maneuvering, and in a bad state presently, Europe not quite done yet. After all the good guys (French Republic and British pseudo-monarchy) won. Now the French Republican systems, and monarchies to the same effect, cover Europe. Germany is sister republic to France, in particular.

Third, the Roman Republican system spread way beyond Europe and her colonies. China and India, and most of the rest of the UN have actually adopted (and adapted) many of WESTERN civilization’s better sides. However, China is still a dictatorship, and (partly) India a mess.

Another difference with Rome starts with a similarity: Rome got in a huge ecological crisis, starting around 100 CE. The Romans could not understand what was happening. They said:”The world is getting old”. Well, what was happening is that Romans had exhausted the soils, and the mines. However we know what they did not: tremendous technological progress can enable to change exploitation regimes.

Thus, the fourth difference with Rome; a huge CO2, GHG, Climate Crisis is incoming, but everybody knows about it, and fixes are in sight. A crisis is an opportunity as the Chinese would say.

Hope? People have to learn from history, and that means, the real history. Hyper maneuvering by USA plutocracy happened in much of the Twentieth Century, and is still ongoing right now. People can’t understand that, as long as they don’t realize that, without American plutocracy, Hitler just won’t have happened. At least, not happened as catastrophically as he did.

But there is hope that people, thanks to the Internet, realize that they have been manipulated in both what they know, and what they can hope to achieve. In particular, Direct Democracy is in the best position to succeed ever. The Athenian Republic found difficult to achieve Direct Democracy, because it did not have the Internet. The average Athenian voter was one day’s travel away from the voting booth. Nowadays, the average voter has her, or his hand on the voting device, namely the smartphone. No more excuses.

Objections can be raised. The preceding was a partial answer to several commenters on this site, John, Aaron, GlouconX, Eugen… The latter jumped on Machiavelli to object to Direct Democracy; however, Machiavelli was not just an author and philosopher. Like Plato, and especially Aristotle, he was a vested ACTOR of the disasters he described, and thus deeply biased, all the way to the greatest depths of the human soul. People who have interest to be stupid, will be stupid. Be it only to forget the fools leading us by the nose. Direct democracy is the answer to stupidity.

However, there is snow outside and further comments will be delayed until enough snow will have been mastered by the imperialistic author of these lines. Hey, it may be the last snow ever, let’s enjoy a cold El Nino, while it lasts! Non-Linearity is ready to ambush us. Let’s build memories while we can, be it just to be melancholic later… being of many minds is what intelligence is about.
