Some Answers To Putin Collaborators

March 30, 2022

Putin parrots go around the Internet, repeating Putin’s mass murdering lies. Let’s dispell a few…

Who gave “assurances” for NATO not expanding eastward, to a state which stopped existing more than 30 years ago? NATO is a treaty among participating democracies, not a person giving “assurances”. Democracies are dynamic: they change opinons. NATO is not a fascist organization, with one chief at the top and robots executing below. Just the opposite. For several decades, France a  founding member of NATO slammed the door of the common military command… Until France went back to NATO, and cajoled it into joining France to intervene against the Serbian war crime, Muslim hating dictatorship.

NATO, a treaty among 30 democracies, a billion people, works by consensus: one country can block everything. As far as getting in wars, France, which often blocked NATO, for example about the Ukraine membership, has led (into war) much more than the USA (generally after getting OK from the UN).

***

That NATO gave “assurances” is a piece of criminal Putin propaganda, deforming completely a casual conversation about NATO and East Germany (DDR)… By claiming NATO lied, Putin tried to justify his “special military operation” (in truth a major crime against humanity). Finland and Sweden are preparing to join NATO, a defensive alliance… of democracies. Just for a an educated hint: “special” in SS, that is ZZ, linguo meant extermination… Now, outright Putin claims inside Russia that Ukraine was preparing to bomb Russia, so he had to act first.

Here is an extract of an interview with the mother of a Russian soldier who died in Ukraine in Kyiv’s suburbs, given to Deutsche Welle. DW said they left it as is, because DW wanted to show the extent of Putin propaganda:

“Despite losing her son Yevgeny, Natalya (not her actual name) argues the invasion of Ukraine is justified. Yet she thinks Russia’s campaign amounts to a full-fledged war, rather than a “special operation.”

The mother of the 26 year old dead soldier says:

[Her son] Yevgeny was in Hostomel on February 24. He did not die on February 27, as his death certificate says. He was killed much earlier, probably on the night between February 24 and 25.

DW: What makes you think so?

I read online that our soldiers conquered Hostomel on February 24. All our boys were then sent there. But then they came under fire from Kyiv. Our boys were encircled and nobody came to their aid. They were shot at and bombed for a full day. Think about it, the airport is basically an open field.

On February 25, our soldiers regained control of Hostomel. On February 26, they found Yevgeny. But I was only informed on March 8. His unit called me around 1:30 p.m. and told me my son had died in a battle near Rostov [Rostov-on-Don, a city in southern Russia, some 60 kilometers from the Ukrainian border]. I almost lost my mind.

DW: Why did they say he died near Rostov-on-Don?

I do not know why they reported that. Maybe because his body was sent to a morgue in Rostov, and they had no verified information about his death.

DW: Did you ever discuss Ukraine with your son in the past?

To be honest, no.

DW: Do you understand why this war was begun?

I think if we had not started bombing them, the Ukrainians would have bombed us. We had no choice. But something went wrong, nobody saw it coming. Now that so many soldiers have died, we cannot stop. We need to press on until we achieve victory.

DW: Do you understand why Russia is fighting in Ukraine? What was Yevgeny fighting for?

My son fought for us, for Russia and the Russians. So that we can keep using our phones, eat and drink like before. He did not die in vain, he died for us, so that we can lead long, happy lives, so that we don’t have to live through war and that bombs fall on us.

DW: In Russia, it is illegal to call this conflict a war. Do you regard this as a war or a “special operation”?

I do not see this as a “special operation.” This is a proper war. I am aware we are not supposed to call it that, but it is a war. It’s a bloodbath.”

Remarks: Putin wants Russian to believe Ukraine attacked Russia. This is why they claim they have soldiers dying in Rostoff, deep in Russia.

Evoking game theory for depicting Putin is too weak: Putin is way smarter than Game Theory specialists. Does Game Theory have people bombing giant building blocks to get elected? Does Game Theory flattens Grozny as a possibility? Use chemical weapons? Does game theory annex part of Georgia? (That’s the latest March 30, 2022) Does Game Theory include Horror Theory?

Have you read the very detailed theory of nuclear escalation of the Russian army? I have. It’s not as simple as a massive nuclear exchange. It includes “escalate to deescalate“, a weird frown-down theory I use with wild, gullible predators… but I doubt it will work with NATO… which includes clever apes.

Do you know about the nuclear tipped hypersonic missiles in Kaliningrad? They have deployed by Putin, in complete violation of treaties on medium range ballistics for more than a decade. They reduce warning times over several European capitals to a few seconds. They are nearly impossible to intercept. They are why the US dropped the medium range ballistic treaty.

World War III already started: 141 countries, including ALL democracies agree Putin is a war criminal.

On top of that, Putin, plutocrat in chief, loves to pose as the sword of justice, but Putin was empowered by WEF/Davos…

This is exactly why so many of the NATO powers do not want Putin to lose: he is their man. Merkel made Europe dependent on Putin, because she obviously was a double agent (she slily said the KGB tried to recruit her, but she brushed them off by telling them she “couldn’t keep a secret”. Merkel, very officially, was employed by the same people Putin worked for. The Merkel betrayal extended to all of Europe, because the World Economic Forum pushed Putin as the provider of Europe’s energy… while knowing perfectly well he was a mafia and KGB thug.

What is worse than a scum who threatened to annihilate all of humanity if we don’t do as he said? Are there excuses for the worst?

People justifying Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini or Pol Pot were once in the millions, including hundreds of thousands of intellectuals. This is now forgotten.

Infamy tends to be forgotten… Perhaps, because, as Voltaire said, one must crush infamy. What has been crushed long ago is slimy, rotten and poisonous: history prefers to forget it.

https://patriceayme.wordpress.com/2022/03/01/why-putin-is-worse-than-hitler/.

The Russian army justified its strike of this maternity in Mariupol, by claiming that it was full of “SS”. It was a full lie. There were, by coincidence, AP journalist team inside at the time… Of course SS looks like ZZ rotated, an inside joke…

Learn The Truth, Putin Loving Devils: NATO Is The European Army, And You Are Traitors To Democracy

March 9, 2022

Tyrant Putin, in power for 25 years, hates democracy, so he hates Europe, and especially the European Union, which requires democracy to join the Union. 21 of the NATO countries are EU members. Adding the UK, that’s 22 European countries, 2 of which, UK and France, are nuclear armed. Actually, 28 countries of NATO are European countries. So NATO is, de facto, the European army.

The only non-European powers in NATO are the USA, and Canada. Contrarily to repute, most “offensive” operations of NATO were originated by France, not the US. An example is the Libyan war, to get rid of the crazy dictator Qaddafi… something advocated first, and very loudly, not to say cogently, by yours trule. See:”Humanism is Force“… (That Libya went wrong after eliminating the tyrant Qaddafi happened from lack of follow-up…)

And what are Canada and the USA? Are they foreign, alien, distant powers, imposing their hegemony on Europe? No. The USA is the red, white and blue child of France and Britain. And Canada is even meeker. Yes, France and Britain had been a dysfunctional couple since a French army conquered England in 1066 CE. But a couple nevertheless, and their relationship with their child has been complicated.

Much of US hegemony on Europe comes from the deliberate choice of Europe. For example, France has a century of frackable gas (it would seem). But French law forbids to even explore the possibility. Better to buy the gas from dictators…

Parroting the nuclear terrorist Putin does not make thinking good. There was no NATO-USSR agreement in 1990. Just some of the off the cuff remarks by Baker about East Germany. Sovereign countries have a right to enter into treaties, especially of self defense. Russia does not have the right to tell other countries what to sign. Especially a defensive treaty.

Article 42-7 of the EU constitution is similar to NATO article 5: attack on one is attack on all.

Those Putin agents who claim that NATO should not exist thus claim that Europe should not have a defense system.

NATO functions with unanimous decisions, and is not dictatorship. So when France, a founding member of NATO, decided to quit the integrated NATO military command, because of disagreement about the Vietnam war, she stayed out for 40 years… while still a member of NATO… and still initiating and leading several NATO wars, such as the war against the Serbian dictatorship and its proxies.

In 2008 France blocked Ukraine from NATO membership… But a negotiation replaced that by a promise of integration later. NATO only admits democracies. In 2008, the problem was already Putin, who invaded Georgia, taking 20% of it, because Georgia wanted to integrate the EU. Same problem developped with Ukraine, which got associated to the EU (same as Turkey in 1961…)

Russia was told in the 1990s, that, should it confirm its democratic status, it could integrate NATO, and Putin himself admitted that he was for it… Early on in his first (illegitimate) presidency… It probably dawned on him that the EU would find out, by sniffing around, how he got elected president, and what it did in Chechnya… Plus it would compromise his grand plan of ruling the planet the way the USSR was.

So now he has found the way: terrorize the entire planet with his nukes… Thus getting his way.

On March 4 2022 , The European Union peacekeeping force in Bosnia (EUFOR) said that France would conduct fast-jet training flights over Bosnia in light of the deteriorating security situation internationally. Bosnia lies hundreds of miles from the fighting but is facing an increasingly assertive Bosnian Serb separatist movement that gets support from Moscow. Bosnia, like Ukraine, has long said it wants to join NATO – a position that has infuriated the Kremlin which said in March 2021 it would react if Bosnia took steps towards joining NATO. The Bosnian Serbs, led by pro-Russian Milorad Dodik, suddenly want to secede and join Serbia.

The Bosnian war started when “Serb” racist partisans tried to eliminate the Muslim population of Bosnia, much of it gathered in the capital, Sarajevo. The “Serbs” started a siege with more than 300 guns, from the mountains around. France intervened, under UN mandate, and exerted counter-strikes. UK helped morphed into a UN mandated NATO mission, dragging in a reluctant Clinton. All this infuriates Putin because his shamans told him all this should be under the sway of Moscow. Yes, Putin consults with shamans and “Old Believers”, such as Archimandrite Tikhon Shevkunov, a monk… And the irreplaceable Satanic “philosopher” Dugin...

In September 2021, Putin referenced at a school in Vladivostok “the tragedies” of the 1917 Russian revolution and the collapse of the Soviet Union. He suggested that had they not occurred, Russia’s population might now be 500 million strong (versus an actual 146 million). This matters because dwindling demographics pose a significant challenge to Russia’s long-term viability as a great power. Putin concluded that “It is necessary to look at what was the basis of these tragic events so that in no case can anything like this happen in the future. How can we strengthen ourselves, in what way, how can we build relationships with neighbors?”

Well, in Putin’s deranged mind, “we” need a tyrant to get stronger…

Fascist political scientist John Mearsheimer, revered by the dim minded, opines that “If Ukraine becomes a pro-American liberal democracy, and a member of nato, and a member of the E.U., the Russians will consider that categorically unacceptable.” And why is this? Because the way of the stronger is most correct. Says the vile idiot: …”this is great-power politics. When you’re a country like Ukraine and you live next door to a great power like Russia, you have to pay careful attention to what the Russians think, because if you take a stick and you poke them in the eye, they’re going to retaliate. States in the Western hemisphere understand this full well with regard to the United States.

How did Ukraine poke the  Russians in the eye? Well, by associating to the EU.

And what makes the Moscovite empire great? Fossil fuels, nukes and Putin? Wisdom is to get rid of all of them.

Those who hate NATO hate what is de facto the EU defense force. Moreover, the argument that Europe does not deserve an army and should be defenseless is simply racist. Europe minus Russia has 20 times the nominal GDP of Russia, and 4 times the population: it’s a greater power.

Putin’s Lethal Resentment Against Those Who Fear Moscovian Dictator(s) Hegemony & Their Remembrance

January 30, 2022

Thermonuclear Russian dictator Putin has been in absolute power for 23 years, trying hard to invade countries. And he is not alone: a galaxy of evil orbits around this balck hole, such as plutocrat Konstantin Malofeev (for fun and further edification on Russian plutocracy and its war mongering, one can read a revealing interview [1]).

How do we know Putin has been trying hard to invade? In 1999, while PM for Russian president Yeltsin, Putin sent elite paratroopers to Kosovo, to try to revert on the ground the independence of Kosovo, negotiated between NATO and Serbia (nota bene: the shooting war with Serbia had started with France; NATO was dragged years later). Kosovo is next to the Adriatic sea… The Russian planes flew above Hungary and Ukraine, after misrepresenting their lethal content. Yeltsin, aghast, wanted to talk secretly one on one with US president Clinton with no others present, on “a boat, a submarine, or some island so that not a single person will disturb us … No one else can do it.” Putin admitted later he gave the order. Putin’s foreign minister was the same as now, 23 centuries later, big game hunter Lavrov, another living fossil remnant from the USSR. A shooting war was avoided, when the local NATO commander, a British general, decided not to use force against the Russians, who had just violated international law. The Brit explicitly disobeyed the NATO commander, a US general, telling him:”No, Sir, I will not start World War Three for you!” NATO is no military dictatorship… it’s a “Treaty” (right now, it’s the French who would decide to order the firing of NATO’s first shots.) Nor by the way is the EU a “club” or a “block” as clueless Anglo-Saxon or Putinesque media insists… The EU is an “Union”. NATO is not an “Union”.

See: https://www.americanprogress.org/article/the-first-time-putin-tried-to-invade-a-foreign-country/

Putin: …”in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when we were told that our concerns about NATO’s potential expansion eastwards were absolutely groundless. And then we saw five waves of the bloc’s eastward expansion. Do you remember how it happened? All of you are adults. It happened at a time when Russia’s relations with the United States and main member states of NATO were cloudless, if not completely allied.

I have already said this in public and will remind you of this again: American specialists were permanently present at the nuclear arms facilities of the Russian Federation. They went to their office there every day, had desks and an American flag. Wasn’t this enough? What else is required? US advisors worked in the Russian Government, career CIA officers gave their advice. What else did they want? What was the point of supporting separatism in the North Caucasus, with the help of even ISIS – well, if not ISIS, there were other terrorist groups. They obviously supported terrorists. What for? What was the point of expanding NATO and withdrawing from the ABM Treaty?

Yes, we are all adults, so we understand basic notions which Putin doesn’t understand: NATO is NOT a dictatorship. Countries joined NATO, because they wanted to join NATO for protection. Putin is a hammer looking for a nail. (In the last week, in 2002, Russia announced naval military exercises in the Irish EEZ… which is illegal… Ireland got very upset. Russia then backed off. Ireland is not a member of NATO… Not yet…)

Actually to be admitted to NATO, one has to be a democracy. Spain was refused membership, although it had perfect right wing fascist credentials, and precisely because of that. In a sense the idea of NATO, an extension of the idea of the European Union, and like the SDN and the UN, are French ideas and policies which are coming straight from the formation of the Frankish Confederacies, more than 17 centuries ago: establish a broad consensus around an open society founded on maximally tolerant, but fierce, law.

In the 1990s, many observers, including yours truly, hoped that Russia would become a member of NATO some day. East European countries, some occupied dictatorships based in by Moscow for centuries, hastened to become democracies and applied to NATO, lest Moscow spawn another dictator…. As happened.

Second Chechen war, directed by Putin. Chechens were crushed by heavy artillery. Nobody knows how many died. In Russia, people just disappear, sometimes by the thousands. According to Stalin, more than 20 millions. The organization “Memorial”, which was registering the millions killed under the Gulag system, was recently outlawed by Putin.

For over 30 years, Memorial uncovered the fates of the victims of Soviet political repressions. Memorial also exposed human rights abuses in present-day Russia. On December 29, 2021, a Putin judge decided that “Memorial” was a foreign agent, and outlawed it.

Memorial is not an organisation nor even a social movement. Memorial is the need of Russia’s citizens for the truth about their tragic past, and the fate of many millions of people. ” [Statement by International Memorial]. In telling contrast, in 2022, the French president, Macron, recognized the (long denied) massacre in Algeria by French troops in 1962 of French Algerian Natives who wanted to keep Algeria French (whatever the latter concept meant; instead De gaulle gave Algeria to a terrorist organization, the FNL). So Putin outlawed the uncovering of the past, while, simultaneously Macron looked at it in the eye… Right, president Macron is coming for re-election, in April 2022, while Putin intends to be thermonuclear dictator for life…

The ABM treaty was abrogated in 2002 by W. Bush, who noted that the treaty is “now behind us,” reiterating his commitment to deploy missile defenses “as soon as possible” to protect against “growing missile threats.”. After 9/11, that was understandable. (And the USSR had deployed the SS20 missile, and then hypersonic skimming missiles in the Kanilingrad oblast… ex-Prussia…)

Putin made very clear in a July 2021 historical essay of 7,000 words that Ukraine is just a “borderland” of the Moscovian Rus. This is a complete rewriting of history, upside down. However, those following Putin believe that Ukraine, and much of Eastern Europe, do not exist as sovereign countries, but are just rogue provinces of Moscow. Proof? Well, it’s provided by the always helpful Mr. Putin: Those countries all speak Russian, or something similar says Putin [2]. Also, all Slavs! So bordelands of Moscow! So “military-technical” may simply mean an invasion. Indeed, time is working against Putin’s autocracy and its dependency upon a wasting asset, fossil fuels. Reconquista of the USSR is now or never.

***

Putin, after a few paragraphs added: “Naturally, as I have already noted, if our Western colleagues continue their obviously aggressive line, we will take appropriate military-technical reciprocal measures and will have a tough response to their unfriendly steps. And, I would like to stress that we are fully entitled to these actions that are designed to ensure Russia’s security and independence.

So there are cases where “we” are not “fully entitled“? Putin goes on: “As we know well, they are operating thousands of kilometers away from their national territory under different pretexts, including the need to ensure their own security. When international law and the UN Charter get in their way, they declare them obsolete and unnecessary. However, when something meets their interests, they immediately refer to the norms of international law, the UN Charter, international humanitarian law and so on. These manipulations are annoying.

In this connection, as I have already said, it is important to continue planned, steady, systemic development of the Armed Forces.”

The problem in all of this, is that the really annoyed Putin is in command of wasting assets in a wasting economy. Dictators, in cases like that, in command of wasting assets, have two choices: wait for the end, or engineer another coup, bigger, stronger and more desperate…

[1] Plutocrats around Putin explicitly want to rebuild the Russian empire at maximal extent. In one of many gems, Putin media plutocrat Konstantin Malofeev speaking, exposing the crux of the matter, Jan 2022: “On what basis did Poland and Finland come out? We didn’t let them go!” Konstantin Malofeev: «На каком основании вышли Польша и Финляндия? Мы их не отпускали!»… “We consider Ukraine as a country temporarily occupied by the Anglo-Saxon special services, in which there is no sovereign power that is not completely under the control of these special services. Therefore, we are not talking with the Ukrainian authorities, but with the collective West. Therefore, the negotiations are not taking place in Kiev, but in Geneva, in Brussels, where it is necessary to talk with the masters of the current Kiev regime...

The invasion has already taken place. American and British intelligence agencies are already on the territory of Ukraine. We know that Canadian special forces flew to the territory of Ukraine. Therefore, we can expect provocations on the border with the republics of the DPR and LPR. And, perhaps, it will not be the Ukrainians themselves, but just the Anglo-Saxon special forces, which will arrange these provocations, because the Americans and the British are ready to fight the Russians to the last Ukrainian.it can only be a peace enforcement operation, as in Georgia. It will last a maximum of 48 hours, and we cannot talk about any frontsthroughout human history two civilizations are fighting: the civilization of money, which is represented by the very exchanges you are talking about, and the civilization of honor

Way Out Of Afghanistan, Version 2010

June 23, 2010

THROWING ROCKS AT A CHRYSTAL HOUSE.

Abstract: General Stanley McChrystal, a former chief of the U.S. military’s secretive special forces, and US and NATO commander in Afghanistan, has been recalled to Washington, as US strategy there has collapsed, while his staff talked too frankly about the clowns they take orders from. American theatrics in Afghanistan, after the unopposed selection of Karzai as "president" are now going from gross to grotesque.

Instead of accusing generals for trying to do the impossible that they were ordered to do, I propose a completely new strategy. OK, it’s too smart, so I plead guilty on all counts.

***

The armies of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization cannot win in Afghanistan. This is a philosophical truth. The essential force of the army of democracy is philosophical correctness, and, in particular, moral correctness. There is neither in the Afghan war.

The present stage of that war has lasted nine years, 50% longer than it took for France and Britain to defeat Hitler (3 September 1939- 8 May 1945). World War II was won, because it was philosophically and morally correct, so the West could go all out in all ways. WWII started with the two leading democracies, France and Britain, having declared war to Hitlerian fascism which, financed by Americano-German plutocrats, fed by Texaco and Standard Oil, had attacked Spain (1936). Unfortunately, crucially supported by evil American corporations, Hitler succeeded to conquer Austria, Czechoslovakia, Spain (February 1939), and then Poland (Fall 1939). Hitler immediately started the physical elimination of the Polish population (destroying flour mills and opening Auschwitz to this effect; the holocaust of Poles preceded the holocaust of the Jews by a full 20 months).

The democracies made unconditional war to Nazi Germany: their aim was the total destruction of Nazism, with no negotiations whatsoever.

With Imperial Japan the concession was made, at the last moment, to keep the war mongering hypocritically fish collecting emperor in place as figurehead. In a smart counterpart, emperor Hiro Hito stepped to the plate, and courageously forced Japan to surrender. Hiro Hito, meek and feeble looking, faced a massive rebellion from the top generals and admirals, who were firmly committed to suicide all of Japan. Instead they finally realized that they, and not Japan, had failed their Lord, and committed Hara Kiri, as they had to. Thus Hiro Hito, with his amazing act of last minute, but drastic courage, redeemed himself in the eyes of history.

Will Obama redeem himself in the eyes of history?

Obama’s rescue of the malevolent Big Bank managers, and lenders, paying the thieves, instead of expropriating them, all Americans, and actually all of NATO, pay for every day, as the Western economy teeters on the verge of utter collapse. Since the thieves got back to what they do best, stealing everybody, ignoring the economy, fostering social destitution of the multitudes, in brazen violation of their fiduciary duties, BP style..

Obama’s strategy in Afghanistan is just as ill conceived. Even the arrogant and ignorant George Bush had too much brains, culture, and even, let’s say it, honesty, for extending that ill conceived war. G. W. Bush knew the Afghans, and even its Taliban, had not started that war, and that the official US discourse on it was deeply misleading. Other alien creatures had pulled the strings, and they came from another continent.

As I said countless times, the Constitution of Afghanistan, as stupidly decided by the manipulators in Washington, is Islam (it was not always so in the past). Thus NATO is fighting for a literal interpretation of the Qur’an, and that is a total violation of the basic principle of Western democracy, which is secular. (In spite of Obama evoking God 17 times in one small speech from the Oval Office.)

Now, the Taliban is also fighting for radical Islam. So what is the difference between NATO fighting for radical Islam and the Taliban fighting for radical Islam? Well, the Taliban is made of Afghans, they die at home. NATO’s army is made of boys dying very far from home. That is why Canada and the Netherlands will pull out their combat troops soon. The Canadian government is conservative, but it campaigned for the pull out during the last elections.

Americans, perhaps ignorant, like George Bush, of the rest of the world, often make a show of making fun of their NATO allies.

However, Canada’s fighting personnel suffered 148 killed in Afghanistan, proportionally 50% more than the USA.

The war, as it is, is lost. Karzai government is one of the world’s most corrupt (otherwise why would it support this charade?). To survive, in Afghanistan, one needs to be bipartisan: half Taliban, half corrupt. Obama should know: he desperately wants to be bipartisan, although it is just to please money and power. In Afghanistan, being bipartisan saves lives of those who are. And their families.

For NATO to win, one would need to re-build a correct theory of the philosophical battle at hand.

But, to do that, a serious revisitation of history is in order. Indeed the war in Afghanistan is war against Pakistan’s Inter Service Intelligence, the ISI, by proxy. They are the ones feeding the Taliban. Just like bin Laden, the ISI is a creature of the USA. But the ISI has thermonuclear weapons. In any case, the USA is fighting its own malevolent creatures in AfPak, and the creatures not only have good reasons to be irked, but there are fighting their master, the American plutocratic-military complex, and they know it well. They know what makes American plutocracy tick.

Technically NATO is in Afghanistan because of 9-11, the first attack ever against a NATO member. But it has got seriously long in the tooth. What used to be a justifiable war years ago has turned into something straight out of George Orwell’s "1984".

At this point it is tempting, as general McChrystal pointed out, for politicians to contrive to make it appear that the US Army lost the war. Whereas, of course, the politicians are 100% responsible. They ordered the generals to fight a war that had been already lost philosophically.

In the history of the West, there is not one case that a war was fought for religion, and won.

When Obama insist that NATO is in Afghanistan to fight Al Qaeda, he is either ill informed, or not genuine. Why not be more genuine and claim to be in Afghanistan to fight the CIA? After all, the CIA created Al Qaeda (maybe not under that name, and maybe a lot through the ISI, but in the financing, men and the methods). It was American policy, since 1945, to use fundamentalist Islam first mostly against the imperialists, France and Britain. That worked well for the USA, procuring vast quantities of oil and influence, until nowadays, when said Muslim Fundamentalists have discovered they were played like violins. So now they play for themselves, with their own violins. In the next step of their enlightenment, they will use Islam as the Franks used to manipulate God, as something one does not really believe in, but which is most convenient to conquer with.

So what is the way out? Certainly not to accuse US generals: they tried their best, but they did not have a chance. The correct way out is to review the entire effort from scratch, and propose an alliance with the Taliban…

Obama talks as if Al Qaeda was a problem. But it’s not much of one. Muslim Fundamentalists tried to crash a jumbo jet on Paris in 1996, French commandos killed the six terrorists, and all passengers were rescued. Israel and France have known for decades of the crash-jets problem, and have had active counter measures in place, for decades. The USA was taken with its pants down in 2001, because American politicians were arrogant. There was not even an armed air patrol in the air (which both France and Israel have on a constant basis).

The real problem is next door: the dozens of militarized thermonuclear rockets in Pakistan, hidden below the world’s highest mountains.

The Taliban may be tempted to accept a peace proposal, because not only could one make an offer they could not refuse: send over the lithium and niobium, we will develop you to the max. Honest Afghans have known for a long time that their problems start with Pakistan. With Pakistan and its ISI.

To make a NATO-Taliban alliance would be a bit delicate, since the main supply route of NATO goes through Pakistan, and since it would involve the dismantlement of Pakistan. But Pakistan is a bad idea whose time should not have come. And its nukes will have to go, and it better be nicely.

P/S: 1) Pa in Pakistan is for Pashto (presently cut in half by the AfPak border). That is why Pakistan may not survive, a considerable nuclear improvement.

2) The tactics used in Iraq by Bush, on a small scale, was to do just the preceding, since an alliance was proposed to the Suni resistance. It seems that effort was headed by general Petraeus. So he would be a natural to “design and lead our new strategy” in Afghanistan (as Obama put it, looking pretty much the Chief, for a considerable change, ;-)!)
