Evil In Guise Of Good Hiding In Plain Sight, All Over… And Evil Masquerading As Good Can Collapse Civilization:

I have never been to the famous Berkeley restaurant Chez Panisse, and never will be, although I passed by it thousands of times. Chez Panisse embodied, in the USA, for decades the principle of Political Correctness… And Political Correctness contravenes my personal Philosophical Correctness! (Ever since Socrates we know that political, let alone judicial, correctness can be at odds with philosophical correctness!)

I didn’t go to this fake French restaurant because it would have violated many of my deep principles, from the political to the culinary, including the principle of being a professional party pooper, much unappreciated, as deserved… Besides, I probably cook better and healthier…

Chez Panisse looked to me as a tasteless example of evil in the guise of good.

I have been there. It is nice in theory but it is self congratulatory, over political, over sanctimonious, just too woke. Dining should be a respite from politics. Diners are treated as lucky and blessed to snag a table at this sacred temple of food. A warm sincere welcome would have been nice. At the same time, there is integrity to the mission/vision of Alice Waters. She didn’t invent the farm to table movement but she sure knew how to promote and monetize it. If even half of what the praise she gets is true she is quite accomplished. As a diner in her food factory of a restaurant I just didn’t get a sense of what all the hype was all about.

Yes. I have never been to Chez Panisse, but I have interviewed and grilled individuals who did, and went there more than once, and even before the restaurant became famous because Clinton, while president, ate there.

At least one person who ate at Chez Panisse also ate regularly at Chez Patrice… And found the food better and more correct with the latter. So here is the slogan for the day: Chez Patrice, not Chez Panisse!

Just an example of what’s wrong with glorifying in Chez Panisse: How can it be philosophically correct, knowing all we learened in the last 50 years to serve expensive wines? Wine is a luxury the planet doesn’t need and a healthy brain can’t risk. Right, the ancient Greeks celebrated Dionysos, god of wine among other things. But clouded thinking brought them under the Roman boot!

Meanwhile Elon Musk has to walk around the worst part of downtown San Francisco, where Twitter is located. He wrote: “You could literally film a Walking Dead episode unedited in downtown SF. This is where San Francisco politics leads and Twitter was exporting this self-destructive mind virus to the world. With some exceptions, other tech companies are still doing so.

[There is an elite Franco-American school nearby where my daughter could have gone; but my spouse who for business used to go there all the time, vetoed it, for safety concerns caused by the walking dead Musk talks about.]

Mitterand, who got the highest fascist medal in WW2, from the hands of the fascist leader himself (later condemned to death), lowered the French retirement age from 65 to 60. This lowering of work, is, fundamentally, the same idea as Roman emperors creating unemployment (and then rescuing the unemployed with gold distribution, turning them into crumb hungry pigeons…)

Woke Is The Product Of A Way Back Machine: Not Just From Marx, Or Saint Just, But Theodosius I!

How did evil in guise of good start? Much of PC is not Politically Correct but Perfectly Cretinous. Woke, in its most recent version, in my opinion was invented in France, especially in the power circles and areas in a one mile distance from Saint Germain (tellingly, the most expensive part of Paris). See the picture!

We have to go back to the “socialism” of the 1920s and 1930s. And even earlier, the rise of Marx against Lasalle (founder of German SPD, co-founder of German universal healthcare) and Marx against Proudhon (French constitutional MP, anarchist). Marx loved the idea of evil in the guise of good. Marx loved the idea of dictatorship. His mental following, to this day, is immense (includes Putin and Xi).

By the 1930s, most European intellectuals were either pro-Nazi or pro-Stalin. Relatively decent people like Rosa Luxembourg had been eliminated. For example Albert Camus was in the Algerian Communist Party when he was as young as 22.

Maybe that self-destructive mentality emanated from the butchery of World War One where French and British nationalism got immolated in the trenches. So, instead of embracing the democratic ideal of meritocracy and progress, the “positivism” of Auguste Comte, instead then of embracing what made Europe good, steering away from dictatorship, all too many European intellectuals embraced the idea inherited from resentful a failed Bourgeois Allemand, Marx: evil in guise of good became  the new European ideology. It spilled in the US as “woke”.

Evil in guise of good was the seduction of propaganda blatant with Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Japanese fascism (bellicose Hirohito), Hitler, Franco, etc.Even Hitler knew this, and explained it well in his writings. To seduce those who wanted to do good, the socialist minded, a liberal amount of red in the Nazi flag would help, so Hitler conceived it thus.

How woke became dominant in France and even malignant is a long story, including the defeat of 1940, and the rise of the fascist Mitterand, which started… in 1940 (and ended socialist president of France in 1981). Now the defeat of 1940 was an indirect consequence of the rise of the… USA: FDR refused to help France with Hitler, as early as 1933. That made French politicians incapable of doing what needed to be done, namely go to war with Nazi Germany early. That could have won the war, but the danger was that France would have been considered an aggressor nation victimizing Germans. 

Evil in the guise of good is an inversion of all values, and (much of) French intellectualism embraced that route after 1945. The end result is that even dactylographic pedophiles became honored guests at the presidential palace, received a state stipend, and even state provided lodging in the most expensive part of expensive Paris… Under several French presidents!

The dark logic of the establishment may escape the unsubtle: when values get inverted, the inversion of all values itself becomes a value, and celebrating the most outrageous outrages, such as literary pedophilia who would send anyone in prison, even in France, being a particularly outrageous outrage, had to be embraced, as an ultimate violation, and because so it was. 

Even the New York Times finally agitated its antennas on that revelation:

He was invited to the Élysée Palace by President François Mitterrand and socialized with the far-right leader Jean-Marie Le Pen. He benefited from the largess of the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, the business tycoon Pierre Bergé.

But Mr. Matzneff has been summoned to appear in a Paris court on Wednesday, accused of actively promoting pedophilia through his books. Mr. Matzneff could face up to five years in prison, yet the case is also an implicit indictment of an elite that furthered his career and swatted away isolated voices calling for his arrest.

In a widening investigation, prosecutors announced Tuesday morning that the police would start seeking witnesses to find other possible victims of Mr. Matzneff.

So it is important to prevent French thought from becoming gangrenous… as much of it has already become, generations ago. Designers are there to make women more beautiful, to give them their freedom, not to collaborate with this dictatorship which imposes this abominable thing by which we hide women and make them live a hidden life... In one way they are complicit, and all this to make money. Principles should come before money.”

Thousands of Ukrainian children have been transferred to Russia.

“As Russian forces laid siege to the Ukrainian city of Mariupol this spring, children fled bombed-out group homes and boarding schools. Separated from their families, they followed neighbors or strangers heading west, seeking the relative safety of central Ukraine.

Instead, at checkpoints around the city, pro-Russia forces intercepted them, according to interviews with the children, witnesses and family members. The authorities put them on buses headed deeper into Russian-held territory.

“I didn’t want to go,” said Anya, 14, who escaped a home for tuberculosis patients in Mariupol and is now with a foster family near Moscow. “But nobody asked me.”

Reporters told Anya and Oksana how to contact each other. The prospect of Anya returning home, though, is unclear. Ukrainian officials have been tight-lipped about how they have gotten dozens of children back from Russia.

“Is this really her number?” Anya asked.”

 According to some Russian officials, more than 7,000 children were taken from Ukraine by Russian authorities, for “adoption”. This falls in the category of genocide, as defined by the United Nations. Right, “whataboutists” will smugly bleat that Canada and Australia engaged in children mass kidnapping on an ethnic basis, as recently as the 1960s, 1970s. Yes, that was genocide, but they tried to hide it. The Kremlin is massive and blatant about it.  

The Kremlin subjugated population has been collapsing. The population under control used to be around 300 million, now the Kremlin controls less than 145 million. Besides replenishing itself with water, arable soil, and minerals, one aim of the nuclear tyrant is to replenish his population. Hence the perverse state pedophilia (love of children) of the Kremlin. Forcing children to become slaves torn away from all their roots is not just a political crime, and a well-defined genocide, it’s also a neurological crime.

New York Times: “When children had nobody to call, or when parents were unable or unwilling to brave the journey to Donetsk, the children were given no choice.

While Ivan was waiting for the headmaster to pick him up, he said, the other children were put on a bus for Russia. They protested. “No one listened to them,” Ivan said. “They had no choice.”…

Anya and others described a wrenching process of coercion, deception and force as children were shipped to Russia from Ukraine. Together, their accounts add to a growing body of evidence from governments and news reports about a removal-and-adoption policy that targets the most vulnerable children in the most dangerous situations.

Transferring people out of an occupied territory can be a war crime, and experts say the practice is especially thorny when it involves children, who may not be able to consent. Ukrainian officials accuse Russia of perpetrating a genocide. The forced transfer of children, when intended to destroy a national group, is an act of genocide under international law.

Russian officials have made clear that their goal is to replace any childhood attachment to home with a love for Russia.”

The New York Times found a woman from Siberian city of Salekhard, a terribly cold place on the Ob river by the Arctic ocean, with trees no more than 4 meters tall, when they exist. The woman was in the process of acquiring her fifth Ukrainian child….

Olga Druzhinina said she adopted four children, aged 6 to 17, from around the Ukrainian city of Donetsk more than 1,600 miles away. Russia recently illegally annexed the Donetsk region and three others in eastern and southern Ukraine.

“Our family is like a small Russia,” Ms. Druzhinina said in an interview. “Russia took in four territories, and the Druzhinin family took in four children.”

She said she was awaiting a fifth child and considered the children fully Russian. “We are not taking what is not ours,” she said.

That Siberian woman who stole four Ukrainian children lives in a city which saw the murder of 300,000 political prisoners under Stalin (who himself killed six million Ukrainians in 1932, and Stalin did this deliberately as he said in writing:” Causing themselves war with a vengeance, dear comrade Solohov!” [1]). When one has lived all of one’s life in Kremlin regimes which killed, stole and abused people industrially, it is natural to be oneself a killer, an abuser and a thief, and believe all of this to be normal, highly moral behavior. And she dares to say, speaking of children from another country and other families: “We are not taking what is not ours”.

This is our tragedy in Russia today. We are all in the situation of suffering from a population which has learned from childhood to live in a brutalizing country. Because, thanks to nuclear weapons, the danger from the perverse Kremlin mentality extends all over.

The Kremlin is teaching, even preaching, deliberately, the violation of basic human rights to the entire planet: this is why, differently from the Nazis, the Putinists are not hiding their malfeasance. Thus they boast of forced children “adoption” and the removal of entire civilian populations (both war crimes). When the Soviets did similar things, for example in Ukraine in 1933, they hid what they were doing.

Putin does not hide, because he wants to invert all of the world’s moral values. He is doing a good job: many regimes approve of him, and one could see the former president of China, Hu, forcibly removed from the greatest assembly, by Xi’s bodyguard, because Hu objected to the dictatorship of Xi. Xi as declared “eternal friendship” with Russia (until he overruns Siberia in general and Vladivostok in particular).

In general, worldwide, it has become a question of survival of humanity to make it impossible for oligarchies to control the world. All the more as they got to such powers from having the worst hearts.

Putin and his oligarchs thought they had the West, the democracies, under their thumbs: they could rob Russia blind, and invest in, and thus control, the West (Obama, US president to Russian president, in 2012, on a hot mike:”Tell Vladimir I will be more free after the elections“… free to stab democracy in the back…) They underestimate the Ukrainians, who have seen it all, and who, like the Jews, suffered in a similar way, and found the one and only similar solution: tanks.

Genocidal regimes don’t necessarily lose… But when they won, as they did most recently in the US, Canada and Australia, they did so against primitive, neolithic populations. Progress is one: we don’t steal children, because we teach them well, and the first thing we teach is that people are not property. Well taught children can grow up to make excellent tanks, as Putin is finding out.

P/S: I commented and was blocked by the NYT. Perhaps, because of the essence of what I said, that, using the examples provided by the NYT itself, the Russian population has been brutalized, and thus brutalizes… When brutality is all one knows, it’s all what one reproduces… Or maybe it was my use of the word “pedophilia”. How did I dare call Putin a pedophile? Am I being disrespectful with the would-be murderer of all of humanity? Just because he loves to kidnap thousands of children?

What always surprises me with NYT censorship is how refined, paying attention to the smallest detail, and how drastic it is.

The Prophet married Aisha, the daughter of Abu Bakr, the First Caliph, when she was six (6). The marriage was “consumed” when she was nine (9). The references to this in the Hadith are many. For example:

However, Aisha sincerely loved Muhammad, who endowed her with astounding freedom. Astounding, even in today’s world. Aisha was later outraged by the version of the Qur’an whom the Third Caliph, the dictator Uthman Ibn Affan, reigning over the world’s largest empire, imposed. Aisha was infuriated by the sexism in Uthman’s Qur’an. She went to war about sexism. Unfortunately, she lost the “Battle of the Camel”. Even more unfortunately, some of Ali’s men were on the other side during said battle, so the Shia don’t like her… Which means that they don’t like liberated women.

Confusingly, Aisha is viewed by others as “Mother of the believers”. There are as many Islam as possible interpretations, knowing all the facts we know. Some versions of Islam are delightful, modern, acceptable. Others, those which please oilmen and Wall Street operators, medieval princes and other plutocrats, most, are, most vile, cruel and disgusting. Unfortunately the latter versions, propped by trillions of dollars and propaganda control, are taking over.

If Islam is so relaxed about sex that women can be married on the battlefield (“Battlefield Brides”), or divorced by repeating “I divorce you” three times, what’s the big hang-up about homosexuality? Well, Muhammad engineered the Qur’an to encourage unprotected sex, in particular with captured girls, slave girls, “those who your right hand posses” (to quote the Qur’an). The Prophet’s idea was not just to treat women and girls better (they used to be killed readily), but also to make much more children. That was of course unsustainable, except if the Arabs made a giant empire, which was exactly Muhammad’s plan. The resulting birthrate explosion indeed fed the Arab population explosion which enabled the Arab army (with lots of luck and surprising tactics) to conquer the world’s largest empire in two decades.

So the pedophilia of Islam is related to its attitude relative to women, who were to become breeding machines, at the earliest possible age, and both are entangled with homophobia, which would have hindered demographics. And thus, conquest. This is why the Qur’an promises not just 72 virgins, but also “fresh and beautiful boys who are like pearls”… but only in paradise. The same situation happened with wine: originally, the Prophet authorized it. However the Prophet, PBUH, then discovered that drunk Jihadists did not win battles. So Muhammad outlawed wine… On Earth:

O you who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and divine arrows are only an infamy of Satan’s handiwork. Leave it aside that you may succeed.

However wine is intrinsically good, it was promised in paradise, something to drink with the “fresh boys who are like pearls“:

A similitude of the Garden which those who keep their duty (to Allah) are promised: Therein are rivers of water unpolluted … and rivers of wine delicious to the drinkers.
— Sura 47:15

Surely the pious will be in bliss … their thirst will be slaked with pure wine sealed.
— Sura 83:22,25

The Qur’an is, assuredly, most subtle, and definitively fun. And its apparent contradictions do not matter much: it has a sound internal logic designed to make Islam the mood and social organization which wins battles… mostly in the desert.
