Plutocracy’s Evil Bend Is Why California High Speed Train Not Built

California politics has been captured by plutocrats, and the high speed train disaster is a consequence. Plutocrats are devious: they support the cause of their enemies, with friendly, concerned faces, and new language, while giving them cancer. They kill with a pat in the back, smiling.

Initially it was simple and obvious: as direct as possible between San Francisco and LA: downtown SF to SF airport, then 92 bridge (an enormous existing bridge), then straight to Altamont Pass next to the enormous freeway, then all the way down the straight I5 freeway through cheap wasteland. This is the way the original high speed network, in France, was built: straight in the wilderness. 

And it was the original, voter approved plan, decades ago. 

However California NIMBYs transformed the plan into a (slow) commuter rail… arguably, they said to serve cities, but truly their motivation was to torpedo the project, by making it impossibly expensive, complicated, and taking away its main reason for being: to be faster than plane, city center to city center. 

That the motivation of Democratic donors and pseudo-environmentalists was evil is demonstrated by their resistance to train electrification, where they delayed matters by decades… Plutocracy is strong in California and plutocracy loves private jets, not successful high speed trains for common folks: that would introduce the nice life to the masses, who deserve to suffer. 

Let them fly private, say the plutocrats, and they chuckle. The private jet industry in the US employs one million workers, makes 1% of the CO2 emissions of the US, and is entirely taxpayer subsidized. Whereas no electric train is in sight in San Francisco (they were a century ago)… Private jets can be readily observed, flying all over…

The dogleg through the desert was only one of several times over the years when the project fell victim to political forces that have added billions of dollars in costs and called into question whether the project can ever be finished.

Now, as the nation embarks on a historic, $1 trillion infrastructure building spree, the tortured effort to build the country’s first high-speed rail system is a case study in how ambitious public works projects can become perilously encumbered by political compromise, unrealistic cost estimates, flawed engineering and a determination to persist on projects that have become, like the crippled financial institutions of 2008, too big to fail.…

The state was warned repeatedly that its plans were too complex. SNCF, the French national railroad, was among bullet train operators from Europe and Japan that came to California in the early 2000s with hopes of getting a contract to help develop the system.

The company’s recommendations for a direct route out of Los Angeles and a focus on moving people between Los Angeles and San Francisco were cast aside, said Dan McNamara, a career project manager for SNCF.‌

The French company‌ ‌pulled out in 2011.

“There were so many things that went wrong,” Mr. McNamara said. “SNCF was very angry. They told the state they were leaving for North Africa, which was less politically dysfunctional. They went to Morocco and helped them build a high speed rail system.”

Morocco’s bullet train started service in 2018.

…But as with so many decisions on the project, other considerations won the day. There was heavy lobbying by Silicon Valley business interests and the city of San Jose, which saw the line as an economic boon and a link to lower cost housing in the Central Valley for tech employees. They argued for routing the train over the much higher Pacheco Pass — which would require 15 miles of expensive tunnels. [Instead of just half a mile with Altamont.]

Ecologically Fake, Plutocratically Correct

The present “ecological” policies of the West were made to fail. It was all a deep and subtle plot. Powers that be, dictators and financiers all tied in to fossil fuels, conspiredt to invest trillions in “renewables”… knowing full well that this couldn’t work as advertized. Intermittent renewables, absent nuclear and hydro, need fossil fuels as base power. This is why pseudo-“super green” California closed nuclear and is dismantling dams (which can be used as batteries for renewables). The present CA governor, who poses as an ecologist, emanates from the Getty Oil…

 

Official, admired “ecologists” were paid by the Kremlin dictatorship, for decades. The greatest revenue and source of military power of the Kremlin is also fossil fuels. Watch German ecologists, presently the government in Germany, close three perfectly safe, functional and fueled nuclear power plants in Germany. The “Greens” will replace those reactors with coal plants. 

 

So vicious are these pseudo-ecologists and Kremlin servants that they prefer to dispose of unused nuclear fuel, at great cost, ecological and financial… rather than letting that nuclear fuel be used in plants, making energy. It is as if they seeked the opportunity to make more CO2…. and help nuclear dictator Putin make more money to purchase electronics on the black market, to equip his rockets, and kill Ukrainian civilians.

 

Those devious plots are increasing considerably the production of CO2, now well above 50 gigatons per year. Thus they make the CO2 catastrophe worse, and thus foster wars, the first of which is the invasion of Ukraine, which is motivated by the fact that well irrigated Ukraine will stay a world sized breadbasket while other countries roast. Recently, Ukraine was providing enough grain to feed 400 million people. It could produce even more.

 

The CO2 catastrophe, wars and an enormous, stealthy yet indispensable fossil fuels infrastructure thanks to the  “renewables” trick will make the powers that be ever more powerful.  

 

As it is, after spending trillions which should have been spent on hydrogen and nuclear instead of sun and wind, “renewables” are less than 4% of the world primary energy production, and all they did was to make advanced countries more fossil fuels dependent: nuclear energy production has gone down 10% in the US, and much more in Europe, as enormous subsidies went to sun, wind and blah blah blah tricks to transfer more money to the wealthiest through “carbon” exchange tricks.

 

Not only do conspiracies drive history, but they are enacted through plots… Helped by disinformation and myths…Nothing new here. What’s new is nukes, CO2 levels not seen since before the dawn of humanity, the sixth extinction, and the various forms of pollution driving it…

“Failed Solutions” To Pollution-Climate Crisis Are No Accident, But Invisible Plot…

All too many “Democrats” apparently believe that democracy consists in talking about Trump non-stop… Leaving no space for any other subject… Such as traditional “solutions” to various problems which have repeatedly failed to find, or implement.

This is not an accident. Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a plot in favor of the statu quo, which is unsustainable.

By talking obsessively about irrelevant subjects, relevance can’t be deployed.

The global heating crisis is a scientific-technical problem. Some technical partial solutions already exist, for example heat pumps. Weirdly, the Biden administration spends many billions on electric cars, a tech of overall little positive impact on climate, short term, but very little on heat pumps, a tech which has a considerable advantage in the GreenHouse Gas Crisis (GHGC).

To solve the GHGC we need deployment of better available tech (heat pumps, hydrogen), and deployment or research in new fission, thorium, fusion… As China is doing.

The term “global warming” to describe GHGC is partial and rather meek. From space temperatures above 62C were observed in India in 2022. That’s global heating, not just warming. Also most of the CO2 goes into the ocean, where it chemically reacts to turn into carbonic acid. So acidification, not just heating, is a problem.

The best long term climate Federal policy would be to augment considerably the research budget in new energy research. As it is, 84% of world primary energy production is fossil fuels. Getting help from “green” hydrogen (produced by “renewables” and, or from cooling nuclear plants) could be done readily by using the present gas networks, and mixing some hydrogen in (a century old technique). Biden had promised ten billions in new energy research, but that morphed into EVs…

 

The true level is above 600ppm, including ALL man-made GreenHouse Gasses. Thermonuclear fusion will save us, but we don’t have it yet. And the less we research, the furthest in the future it lays.

There was no universe in which Republicans in a 50-50 Senate would have allowed that much to be spent on climate change solutions. Their doms in the fossil industries would have stopped paying their allowance! What is needed here is a strong federal mandate, one with teeth… the kind we will never have when the GOP has the votes to sustain a filibuster.

@ Meuphys Thanks for the comment. However, one has to see below the surface. A (nasty) Republican, Nixon, created the EPA, the Environment Protection Agency. Dems and Reps are playing a good cop, bad cop routine about the climate. So is the rest of the world’s leadership.

A point that I am trying to make is that present “solutions” to the pollution crisis (including GreenHouse Gasses, GHG) are not working: they are too expensive and too slow in worldwide deployment. What we need is fundamental research by the Federal government of new solutions, of which there are plenty of potential ones. Private industry can’t develop these solutions: too risky, especially in an uncertain regulatory environment. By the way, the Chinese government is doing just that: it is operating brand new experimental nuclear reactors of several types: pebble, thorium, etc.

Massive investment in electric cars, at the detriment of the rest, is the poster child of these failed approaches… Still “Democrats” have been doubling up on them… probably for financial reasons… Including pleasing the fossil fuels industry which welcomes solutions to its existence that do not work! In other words, while the support of fossil fuels to Republicans is obvious, the one to “Democrats” is even more important, because it is hidden behind windmills which do not work most of the time, and batteries that can’t be made on the necessary industrial scale to make a dent on the climate crisis.. 

On the first day of the Obama administration, research on hydrogen and fuel cells was terminated. That was weird: the US got to the Moon thanks to fuel cells. The Trump administration found that the Alameda-Contra Costa fleet of hydrogen fossil fuel buses worked beyond the most optimistic expectations in all ways.There are less than 100 such buses in the US, and the problem has been cost of procurement, due to small numbers. Differently from electric, such buses can be refueled in minutes. 

“Liberals”, “Neo-Liberals”, “capitalists”, “free marketers”, economists, etc all laud the “Invisible Hand” of the market. What about the “INVISIBLE PLOT”?

Yes, we, the powers that be, want to change nothing much regarding fossil fuels, where power is from! 84% of primary energy is from fossil fuels. Hydrogen and nuclear have been carefully not developed. Dams are under attack. Without hydrogen & dams, “renewables” need fossil fuels

Going all nuclear and hydro (they are interrelated, as hydron can store nuclear) could have produced 100% carbon free electricity for the entire planet. Not a full solution, but a partial one. Instead, we are on target for Armaggedon, and Putin is our prophet.

Betrayed By Its Chief Mercenary: How The 9/11 Tragedy Hides An Ongoing Hoax

Systemic lying, as deep as the Deeply Plutocratic State goes… The USA went to war in the Middle East because of a hoax perpetrated by oil and financial plutocrats, and their obsequious, greedy little servants. The Bin Laden saga was a minor act in the whole picture, which spans now a full century. But the US population does not know any better, because it does not read enough, can’t read the really revealing stuff, and is expertly lied to by plutocratic organization such as the brazenly named “Factcheck.org” (which claims, against all international evidence, that the USA had nothing to do with Bin Laden).

A hoax is a falsehood deliberately fabricated to masquerade as the truth. It is distinguishable from errors in observation or judgment, rumors, urban legends. The hoax, the imposture, the falsehood that 9/11 hides is that US policies didn’t cause 9/11. They did, in detail: the terrorist masterminds were, for many years, used as mercenaries by the USA. These policies of manipulating Muslim Fundamentalist mercenaries are as old as the investment of US oil plutocrats with the Saudis (themselves hereditary plutocrats forming what is called a monarchy)… in the 1930s. An accord was found where Saudi money from oil receipts would be recycled on Wall Street, and the Wahhabist (a hard core literralist sect of Islam founded in the 18 C) will keep the global plutocratic order firmly in command, and revolution down. 

When US propaganda presents 9/11 its all about profiles in courage, tragedy, and noble suffering. There is never an attempt to find out what truly happened. Here is President Donald Trump on 9/11/20:

All very beautiful and correct, and I do not condemn Trump for any of these words, after all, he has an election coming driven by some of the biggest powerful liars around. What I do condemn is the US intellectual leadership, which, nineteen years after 9/11, as not examined what really happened, or why the elite head terrorist mercenary of the USA, Osama Bin Laden, turned against his employer.

Oops. Something is revealed, but propaganda damage control means that the US population is still not suspecting, to this day, that this particular collapse was the work of US mercenaries and US politics, since the 1930s, at the very least. (The British had heavily supported the Saudis in the 1920s, killing at least 20,000 to help Arab tyrant king Abdulaziz Ibn Saud… It’s likely the US government at the very least knew and approved.)

So here we have democracy and worldwide terrorism, and evasion of justice by four unelected lawyers nobody has ever heard of. And good errant boy Obama does what his masters told him to do, as usual…

This is all pretty incredible. When the First World War got launched, Austro-Hungary sent an ultimatum to its enemy Serbia, because Serbian terrorists and a Serbian based terrorist organization, the “Black Hand” had organized an elaborate plot to kill the de facto quasi-head of state and future emperor. The ultimatum requested many things, including full Austrian-Hungarian powers in Serbia to find out about the various conspirators. Serbia agreed to all, but for the last condition. So Austro-Hungary declared war. That took a few weeks. 

Instead the US leaders, under Obama, a century after the assassination in Sarajevo, decided to make the USA behave like a rogue state, by taking the law in their own hands inside another country.

Bin Laden could have been captured. He had no time to surrender, but he  was not resisting… said the SEALS who had got the kill order, Bin Laden was behind his wife with his hands on her shoulders. He was shot twice in the forehead, then some more once on the ground.

What does that remind you of?

Truth is Bin Laden as was a soldier of America, who got enraged for some reason(s), and found dozens of thousands of other mercenaries for America who got similarly enraged, if not millions… We wanted to hear the details, how the CIA and SIA recruited him, and instructed him (to go bomb little girls’ schools in Afghanistan). The powers that be, you promised the world to the prostitute in chief, knew better. They instructed him to get rid of Bin Laden, because Bin Laden knew too much.

Better, feel the global plutocrats who pull the strings to have entire generations who do not know that a “Democratic” US president launched the war in Afghanistan…

And how does Factcheck Org’s lie technically work? Simple. Evidence that Bin Laden met with CIA operatives is blocked in the USA, so there is no evidence for it… In the USA. Also all the contacts which were enormous and extensive, were made not through the ISI of Pakistan (as Factcheck luridly claims) but through the SIA (Saudi Intelligence Agency). So technically, those liars claim they are not lying. Notice that when they claim that the CIA and the Pakistani had nothing to do with Bin Laden, the monopolistically plutocratically financed “Factcheck.org” forgets to make any mention of the CIA alter ego, the SIA…

In truth, US secret services and organizations and individuals gravitating in the vicinity, or vice versa, have long used Muslim Fundamentalism, in Egypt, Iran, North Africa, etc… already in the 1940s…

History follows some paths. There could have been others. Just as with thought experiments in physics, inquiring minds inquire best by weighting the factors, making thought experiments in history (all historians have always done this, to an extent or the other, connecting the dots). The most interesting and instructive weighting of the facts occur when one changes nearly nothing, and one changes events slightly according to not just plausible, but probable scenarios. (The military learns much by running “what ifs” scenarios, and does this all the time [1]). It turns out that history is full of butterfly effects, where a small fluttering somewhere has giant effect after a while (the weather is notoriously that way with a three week horizon). Therein a morale: if one wants history to enfold optimally, looking forward, one should not neglect the utmost precautions. Including the fact that too much precaution can kill precaution, if one doesn’t understand the underground logic at hand.

This is what happened in Nazi Germany, when the army command tried to reintroduce rationality: it didn’t work, because they had missed the evil design of the Anglo-Saxon Deep State, and its attached plutocracy.

Ludwig Beck, a real hero in his belated struggle against Hitler, but too trusting of the Anglo-Saxon elite. Beck was chief of the German army and, from pro-Nazi, turned into an anti-Nazi conscious of the madness of Hitler and Al. He directed his subordinates, including the top admirals, to propose to the Americans and the British to announce that the USA and the UK would side with France in case of conflict with the Nazis. He was going to use this as a pretext to make a coup against the Nazis. Instead the US and UK warned Hitler of the conspiracy. Fired by Hitler, who couldn’t do more than that, as Beck’s prestige was immense, he organized behind the scene the coup of 1944. He was asked to commit suicide.

The question was asked: If the US joined the League of Nations, would WWII have occurred?

Let me change the question slightly into: If the US had respected its parent, France, and practiced other aspects of basic decency of a civilized nation, as its Gallic parent had tried to instill to it, would WWII have occurred? Or, otherwise said: If The USA had Been Decent, Would The Nazis Have Disturbed the Peace?

The short of it: no.

World War Two happened because the French Republic had more than enough with the Nazis. The French had been itching to go destroy Hitler since the latter invaded Spain in 1936 (with the help of the rogue Franco, and fascist Italy). However, after agreeing to come to the rescue of the Spanish Republic, the French, led by PM Jewish Socialist Blum, were submitted to scathing threats from London and Washington, so they didn’t. Then there was the Munich circus, followed by Hilter invading Czechoslovakia, Austria… 

After the fall of Spain (early 1939), the French stiffened the Polish spine, and added a chastised Great Britain in the appendix to the Franco-Polish treaty (“entente cordiale would apply…) Cornered, an enraged Hitler made his ultra secret alliance with fellow dictator Stalin official. Surely, now confronting fascist Japan, Italy, Germany and the USSR, the French won’t attack? But the French were undeterred. At that point the Nazis were stuck. They couldn’t lose face: Hitler knew that the German generals had nearly staged a coup already.

What could have stopped the war? Those German generals: they had all the power. Had the USA declared it sided with France, the generals would have known they were facing the infernal trio of France, Britain and their progeny, the USA, and, thus, Germany couldn’t win. So they had to stage a coup to save Germany, as they explained in 1937 to the Anglo-Saxon ambassadors.

However the position of the USA in 1939 relative to Nazism was not clear: plutocrat FDR detested egalitarian, socialist France, and wanted to grab all her colonies to make them part of the US empire. Moreover US plutocrats were roaming all over Germany doing excellent business under Hitler, owning a large part of it: IBM had the monopoly of computing, for example, a gift of Hitler (see “IBM and the Holocaust”). Finally, the US was a racist country, and much of Nazism was copied from US themes.

The very idea of League of Nation was born in France in 1916 (and then co-opted by hyper racist Wilson). So the entire US “isolationist” posture, which didn’t apply to Nazi Germany (the “Third Reich” was full of US plutocrats, US investments, US tech, etc.) was more directed against France, and an excuse for the US to deal with Germany as a new “Wild West“… like the myth of the “crippling” reparations, launched by racist plutocrat Keynes, who was enraged that Eastern Europe had been freed from Germany by Versailles… (the reparations were so little “crippling” that the French are still rebuilding, more than a century after the fascist German invaders dismantled even treasures of the Middle Ages…)

To be in the League, per se, would not have been enough, to prevent WW2. However, had the USA being just decent with its parent, France, the German generals would have seen their defeat was unavoidable, as the USA was siding with France.

And guess what, as I already said, but it’s worth repeating? The German generals, and admirals, led by a fierce colonel who wanted to overthrow Hitler, and, initially more loosely, by chief of staff Ludwig Beck, who was pro-Nazi in 1930 [2], asked, as early as 1937, the UK and US, to do just that, declare they would side with France. But they didn’t. Instead, the Anglo-Saxons told Hitler… And FDR recalled his friend Dodd, US ambassador in Berlin, an ex-history professor, viewed as too friendly to his French peer, and a determined anti-Nazi. FDR replaced Dodd by a pro-Nazi, and did the same in Britain, installing the notoriously pro-fascist plutocrat mafioso Joe Kennedy as ambassador there… (More details on the Dodd-Francois-Poncet interaction in the book “The Garden of the Beasts”…)

The German generals, as a collective mind, were not smart enough to realize they were going to become victims of the greatest bait and switch imaginable… Although the same exactly had happened to Germany in WW1… (The USA encouraged the Kaiser to attack, and then sustained him, until it became clear that France and Britain were going to win, then switched sides…)

Nowadays, the Germans have finally figured it all out, deep inside… Just as the Brits lost it completely… History is the ride that never ends…

The most amazing part of this subject is that many individuals who believe they know it well, actually keep on repeating the basic Nazi themes (hence my re-education program)…

And, even more interesting, those themes often only partly originated in Germany… Keynes launched the idea that returning Eastern Europe to self-determination was a racial and economic mistake. Even the famous “stab in the back” theme the Nazis used as a pretext against Communists, Socialists, and Jews, had been uttered first by a British general who had lashed back sarcastically at war criminal general and principal original Nazi, Ludendorff… Ludendorff ran away with that theme…  A way to bury his own war crimes under fresh layers of invented indignation…

The myth of the “crippling reparations” exacted by France and Belgium in a spirit of wanton revenge was launched… And survives to this day. Actually the “reparations” amounted to only 5 trillion of 2018 Euros. One out of twenty Frenchman had been killed, in a war cold bloodily launched by fascist Germany. So, roughly the “reparation” amounted to 800,000 Euros by dead Frenchman. That gross computation doesn’t count 4.3 million wounded, including hundreds of thousands mutilated for life. The industrial north east of France had been eradicated in deliberate devastation designed to cripple France. 

Ah, relevance for today? If one can’t still see the manipulations of the plutocrats and their associated Deep State, a century ago, how could one see them today?

Indeed, the fact the deep maneuvers of the US Deep State and its sponsor, US plutocracy, the billionaires and their descendants hidden in Foundations, Boards, Institutes, “Charities”, “Think Tanks”, plutocratic universities and the like, have not been exposed in full, doesn’t just explain the amazing (however ephemeral) success of the monstrosity known as Nazism.

More fundamentally, the obliviousness, and lack of interest, in the maneuvers of the Deep State and its sponsor, Anglo-Saxon plutocracy, explains much of the rise of global plutocracy and its attendant inequality, poverty, drug abuse, decay in education, healthcare and many basic services observed since…

The Lisbon Treaty was voted in by referendum (Ireland, say) or by acts of Parliament, all over Europe. Unimpeachable direct or “representative” democratic process.

Obsessions are important, and actually fruitful and can be progressive: obsessions enable to push new systems of thoughts to their full extent… thus make us more intelligent. Another day, another explosion of a luggage full of high explosive in a public space, courtesy of Islamist terrorist, Oussama Z., a primitive Moroccan screaming “God is great” in Arabic. He tried to terrorize Brussels’ train station, but law enforcement spotted him before he could organize properly his devilish terror weapons. The fanatical barbarian was promptly shot and killed by officers. The Islamists have good reason to be enraged against France, and anything French-like, such as Belgium, ever since they attacked France in 715 CE… And got whipped. Before they invaded again, in 721 CE, to be whipped again. And again, in 732 CE. Some are gluttons for punishment. Islamist feel that the more punished they get, the closer to God. Which is great, probably because He is a homosexual in denial, who detest women. Different people, different nations, different mentalities.

France Alleged To Be “Liberticide”, Latest example of Anti-French rage and Hypocrisy:

Recently various major Anglo-Saxon media, including the crooked New York Times, preventively trashed new proposed anti-terrorist French laws as dictatorial. This is more than hypocritical. Those proposed French laws are nothing of the sort. Whereas US practice is beyond dictatorial, they are more police-state like (8 millions are under “Judicial Supervision” in the US!) 

For example a proposed French law says that the police could ask drivers of vehicles to have those inspected when they want to enter a security perimeter around major events (such as the “Tour de France”). This is a measure against car bombs. However, if the driver refuses an inspection of his or her car, to see if it carries a huge bomb, the driver can leave, no question asked. Try that in the US: you will be shot at, and everybody knows it (so nobody tries!) Everybody in the US knows that when the police gives an order, either you obey, or you get shot.

How “liberticide” is that? According to the crooked New York Times, enormously so (New York Times is crooked because it has banned me during the 2003 Iraq war, and for the last 6 years, although it denies it does, a further lie!)

By the way I have driven cars in the USA which way inspected for car bombs. Turning around was not an option, as I was dealing with the ladies and gentlemen of the US Secret Service, and that was nine years ago already. Major US media didn’t write editorials about it. I also found this to be no problem at all (because my car was not equipped with a car bomb!) I didn’t feel my right to carry a car bomb was trampled underfoot.

Conflicts between nations and versions of civilization arise from different mentalities:

These different mentalities do not just arise haphazardly. They often originate for a number of incontrovertible reasons. For example Fernand Braudel found that the desiccation of the Middle East brought increasingly dictatorial regimes, necessary to organize the enormous, increasingly complex hydraulic systems necessary for the survival of civilization. Not surprisingly, Egypt, long at the forefront of civilization faded away as an engine of mental creation.

Why The French Are Like The Franks Who Became Like The Gauls:

It’s a curious thing that the same mentality inhabits France now as it did even before the Romans showed up. The population changed significantly in the meantime from massacres, immigration, emigration, etc. Centuries before the Roman empire, though, the 60 states of France each had their own treasury (and currency). And, in many technologies they were best in the world. Much of the Roman military equipment was purchased in Celtic Spain and Gaul (light metal helmets, swords). Five centuries later, the 37 arsenal of the Roman empire made their own weapons, right. But that was five centuries later, and by then Gallia was arguably the strongest piece of the Roman empire, and with a mind of its own (there was even a “Gallic empire” within the Roman empire, for a while).

So why the same? Precisely because France was the original melting pot, the three main trade routes between the Mediterranean and Northern Europe being there. A crossroad of trade and especially mental trade. The Gauls actually used Hermes, also known as Mercury, as their main imported deity. That was the god of commerce, and communications

Why The Clashing Mentalities Between France and the Anglo-Saxons?

England has been in conflict with France since, paradoxically enough, the highly successful invasion and colonization of England by a French army led by the Duke of Normandy. As the latter and his barons took control on the other side of the channel, the new king of England, namely aforesaid Duke, became a vassal of the king of France. The king of Francia was not any king out there. After the de facto secession of the Western Franks from the rest of the “Renovated” Roman empire, the king of France was officially “Roman emperor in his own kingdom”.

This status of vassal went on for centuries. The situation became worse when the “Louve de France”, the She-Wolf of france, daughter of Philippe IV Le Bel of France, became absolute monarch of England. She was succeeded by her son Edward III, grandson of Le Bel, legitimate king of England and France. At that point, the leadership of England could claim that Paris was vassal to London, and the 475 years war (so-called “100 years war”) was on.

Another problem is that the Duke of Normandy had to persuade the English that it was in their best interest to be ruled by him. First, of course, the french outlawed slavery in England, something that the 20% of the population who were slaves, loved. But William had to make We the People stakeholders in their nation: England had been crisscrossed by civil wars and invasions, with all sorts of Angles, and Saxons, and (“Fair”) Viking from Norway, and Dark Vikings from Denmark, for 5 centuries… Thus William of Normandy installed a sort of more direct democracy which was frowned on by the more traditional Franco-Roman plutocracy on the other side of the Channel. That “English” trick was increased in following centuries, for example when other (French) aristocrats tried to be elected king by the (English) Parliament, and hoped to do that, by first increasing the powers of said Parliament.

In any case, as France was much more powerful than England then, with several times the population and riches, and a closer connection to Roman inheritance, the leadership in England could survive only through more devious and militarily efficient means than those used by the French from France.

In the end, England became basically a more efficient version of France, and that included a mentality that the French could see as more pragmatic, less principled, more perfidious and hypocritical.

As French supremacy lasted until 1815, the English had to try much harder until then, with a more underhanded mentality. In 1815, the English monarch renounced his claim to the throne of France (a claim started by Isabelle and her son Edward III, and later reconfirmed in an accord to end the “100 Year War” which Joan of Arc and her operators would violate, relaunching the war for another 375 years).

After that, France was clearly the junior partner in the way of world empire… But not as a land power, where the French military stayed the most powerful in the West, most of the time, until May 1940.

The German empire was the world’s most powerful military in the period 1871-1914. However, in September 1914, it was nearly annihilated by a French counterattack at the First Battle of the Marne, shattering the conspiracy to take control of the world. The reason for french military might can be tracked all the way back to the Third Century, when the Confederation of the Salian Franks was created, and Franks went up Roman rivers in what would become the Viking style, five centuries later. The alliance between Romans and Franks arose from these earlier conflicts, when the Romans, and in particular Caesar Constantine, realized that Frankish military might was best co-opted, rather than fought.

The ascent of the Franks was defined by them militarily defeating all and any enemies who tried to encroach on present day France. The list is nearly never ending, and includes the Huns, the Goths, and the Berber and Arab armies of the three invasions of Francia by the Umayyad Caliphate (715-748 CE), which brought its demise in 750 CE (as the bones of its armies laid in France). The switch from “Franks” to “French” happened in the Twelfth Century, and the first unelected French king was Jean I, an infant who ruled 5 days, before being probably poisoned (by Countess Mahaut of Artois; now a region of pseudo-independent Belgium).

Thus the French are frank and aggressive. On this civilization grew and multiplied. Frank, to know and transmit the truth, which is the core strength of war. Aggressive, to impose the truth. Why so much war? Because France is at core of Europe, where the easiest main three trade routes pass (going across the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Carpathians, the Balkan Mountains or the Caucasus, all East-West ranges, mostly, is best done through… France!)

The French state is the direct descendant of the Roman state. There is actually no discontinuity whatsoever, militarily, legal or otherwise. The first well-known elected French king, Clovis, was also Roman Consul and Imperator of the Roman army. Clovis succeeded to do what the Roman state couldn’t succeed to do in the preceding 150 years: Clovis crushed and evacuated the Visigoths (Battle of Vouillé, in 507 CE). Thus Francia and Constantinople, all the way to the Tenth and Eleventh Century, viewed themselves as part of the same Romanitas (resulting in common military campaigns, as when the Eastern Roman fleet operated on the French Riviera in the Tenth Century, in cooperation with Frankish armies in the interior, to extricate the Muslims who had been terrorizing Western Europe, in still another invasion; the First Crusade, 150 years later was the reciprocal courtesy…)

The philosophical method William the Conqueror used is exactly the same which Clovis used. And that’s not happenstance. Notice that, in both cases, those methods were quite opposite to the cool massacres, and thorough holocausts enacted by Julius Caesar when he conquered Gallia (Gaul).

However, the gigantic French empire was the object of US greed by 1914, and the envoy of hyper racist US President Wilson (a democrat, ex-president of Princeton University, a famous plutocratic university) conspired, encouraged, abetted and talked the German Kaiser into launching a world war, which he couldn’t win, with the result that, in 1945, the US was in perfect position to grab both the British and French empires, in the guise of decolonization.

This crowned the “American Century”, this worldwide empire, in the glory of which we are all presently basking.

So why the “Anglo-Saxon” anti-French rage?

This anti-French rage is a preventive measure, lest all the preceding be found out.

And should we be Zen-like, satisfied with this cognitive cover-up, organized in great part by the glorious US plutocratic universities? No. Why? Because we are getting through what promises to be maybe the greatest extinction of the biosphere ever since Snowball Earth. The simple US greed mentality is completely insufficient to deal with this crisis. Americans emit 16 tons of CO2 per capita, per year, in no small reason because they are such glorious, sensitive people, having attended their glorious super smart universities of greed, and they need to drive big truck as soon as they are 16 years old. By comparison, the French emit 6 (six) tons of CO2 per capita, per year. Because they are such losers. But, precisely, we need to learn to lose gracefully the battle of mental comfort and venal stupidity, to win the next war.  The ultimate war. The war of biosphere survival. A war against all of yesteryear’s mentalities.

Deep State, Deep History, Deeply Satanic Mood

Reducing the Deep State to inertial bureaucracy is misinformation.

Reducing history to what is taught in textbooks is also misinformation.

Since the election of The Donald, you’ve probably noticed a sudden uptick in that erstwhile arcane term “Deep State”. It’s become so ubiquitous that it may well end up in one of those lists of the most overused phrases and words of the year.

My own habitual usage of the term in these pages derives from Mike Lofgren’s original thesis:

There is the visible government situated around the Mall in Washington, and then there is another, more shadowy, more indefinable government that is not explained in Civics 101 or observable to tourists at the White House or the Capitol. The former is traditional Washington partisan politics: the tip of the iceberg that a public watching C-SPAN sees daily and which is theoretically controllable via elections. The “Deep State” guy pursues: “Nor can this other government be accurately termed an “establishment.” All complex societies have an establishment, a social network committed to its own enrichment and perpetuation. In terms of its scope, financial resources and sheer global reach, the American hybrid state, the Deep State, is in a class by itself. That said, it is neither omniscient nor invincible. The institution is not so much sinister (although it has highly sinister aspects) as it is relentlessly well entrenched. Far from being invincible, its failures, such as those in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, are routine enough that it is only the Deep State’s protectiveness towards its higher-ranking personnel that allows them to escape the consequences of their frequent ineptitude. The New York Times, which itself might be considered part of the Deep State, describes the term quite differently: an authoritarianism that hasn’t happened here yet, but very well might. The United States, those experts warn, risks developing an entrenched culture of conflict between the president and his own bureaucracy. Issandr El Amrani, an analyst who has written on Egypt’s deep state, said he was concerned by the parallels, though the United States has not reached authoritarian extremes…. Though the deep state is sometimes discussed as a shadowy conspiracy, it helps to think of it instead as a political conflict between a nation’s leader and its governing institutions. That can be deeply destabilizing, leading both sides to wield state powers like the security services or courts against one another, corrupting those institutions in the process.”

My take is much deeper and much more cynical:

First, the US assaults on Afghanistan and Iraq were not failures. They are painted as such by the establishment, but they achieved what they were supposed to achieve. Destroying progress, and French and Russian influence in a democratic, socialist republic, Afghanistan, while turning the latter in a fundamental Muslim theocracy offering plenty of opportunity for practicing war, was a complete success. We have to thank the demonrat Jimmy Carter for that far-fetched vision. OK, 9/11 happened as a consequence, but that was very juicy for the plutocracy.

The various assaults on Iraq, starting in the early 1990s, were a total success: the price of oil shoot up, and thus the US could afford enormous capital spending in oil and gas, with advanced fracking technology. Now the US is the number one producer of oil and gas (at it was in the 19 C and most of the 20 C).

The Deep State is, truly, the hereditary plutocracy and its hereditary structures (for example the plutocratic universities, and their provisions for scions, or the plutocratically owned, or influenced media, which is nearly all the media in the USA; or the connection between the health care system, the drug companies, politicians; in general political-corporative system).

The Deep State has also a Deep Mood, which is trans-generational The Deep State mood can be observed to flow from the richest families hereditary grip on wealth, power, foundations, universities, politics.

The Deep Mood hides the deep conspiracies and the plots which really worked so well (WWI, WWII, Islamism, etc.) that the vulgum does not even suspect their existence. Realizing that World War One, World War Two and modern Salafism are actually deliberate plots, not just conspiracies, is not found in any textbooks. Instead we are told fables for little children.

Excellent point. We must not forget the handful of families which fund our “elections” and usually get what they want in the way of policies. Why are the Democrats so gung-ho on marriage equality and bathroom rights as opposed to other civil rights? Because they doesn’t rob the rich of one cent, and the rich feel they can afford to be generous when it doesn’t cost them anything but furnishes them with a publicity buffer with which to shine and protect themselves.

Dynasties are indeed an integral part of the deep state, ruling class, whatever you care to call it. Thomas Piketty spelled it all out. Funny how he and his inequality thesis is no longer all the rage with liberals, now that they have Trump to signify all the evil that ever was.

Excellent observation: insulting Trump 24/7 has replaced any analysis of US/Global plutocracy. That’s excellent for the plutocracy. Howling against Trump to the sky, is viewed as the noblest conquest of thought. We are led to believe that, if only the GLOBALOCRACY was re-established, complete with hordes of Sharia believers, everything would be alright…

I own but never read Piketty’s big book (I read enough other things of him to get an idea that Piketty does not fly as high and broad that we eagles of truth, need to). I read the Devil’s Chessboard (some of it). That’s about the Dulles Brothers. They represented around 1,000 (German) Nazi companies in the USA, before the war. The book hint that the Dulles who created the CIA organized JFK’s assassination. As Alan Dulles put it:“that little Kennedy, he thought he was God”

All these books, in particular the latter, come short on the Pluto/fascist/Nazi/Ford/JP Morgan/Wilson connection.

Much of the most tragic history of the Twentieth Century was a massive conspiracy and a plot, we enjoy its ongoing fruits, as it was not only not  counterattacked, but most (pseudo) liberals have no notion of it whatsoever.

Surely they know not of the Kaiser-Wilson-extreme Anglo-Saxon, anti-French racism-WWI-Ford-Hitler-Schacht-JP Morgan-Wall Street-Morgenthau-countless US plutocrats and their corporations, and then Hitler, connection.

In that mighty galaxy, the Kennedys, Bushes and Dulles were initially second knives. By 1941, they had become major actors. Right now, the plutocracy is intense, extremely institutionalized, from plutocratic university to perverse health care, to plutocratically owned media, to the Deepest State (whose retirement depends upon pleasing the powers that be).

The only thing that’s clear, is that obsessing about Trump, who did not create that intense, thick and deep plutocracy, while feigning to believe that he did, is a way to try to perdure the ever-deepening Pluto state.

That Pluto, deeply satanic state, is complete with federal judges, free to judge when they can suddenly “retire” to the “private” sector, earning millions, and picking up the rewards implicitly promised to them. Verily, when one goes seamlessly from the private sector to the Deep State, and back, and forth, evil learns to rule civilization, no holds barred, into oblivion.

The 9/11 Conspiracies

9/11: SEVERAL IMBRICATED CONSPIRACIES:

Propagandists of the established order say:”Conspiracy theorists are mad”. They know, or hope, that most people know no history: most of history is the fruit of conspiracies.

As Pharaoh Ramses III wrote in stone in 1175 BCE: “The foreign countries (i.e. Sea Peoples) made a CONSPIRACY in their islands… No land could stand before their arms…” Islands such as Sardinia, Sicily, etc. had conspired to attack the rich G8 of the Bronze Age civilization of the Eastern Mediterranean. Result of this conspiracy? Civilization collapsed so badly over a century, that even writing itself was lost.

For decades, I met smart behinds who told me only crazies thought conspiracies were interesting. Then there was 9/11. Even the smartest cretins had to admit, from the bottom of their obscure minds, that it was a conspiracy. Clearly, a conspiracy of Al Qaeda. But not just a conspiracy of Al Qaeda: president Carter, Reagan, Clinton and Bush conspired with Muslim terrorists, and president Obama has sung the praises of their ideology, Islam (also known as “Salafism”). One knows a conspiracy best, when the emperor has no clothes. Here is the American leadership, naked in the White House, for all to see, and few to understand:

[Smart idiots will say:’Oh, because you think these people flew the planes in the World Trade Center?‘ It’s hard to answer idiots. Try with a chipmunk. Idiocy is easy, intelligence, difficult.]

If one conspiracy, why not more? It was astounding that, three years after the world soccer cup in Paris, the USA was completely undefended. Was that deliberate? A conspiracy of inaction, maybe? Acting up, by not defending oneself against an obvious threat? Was Bush and his friend Clinton subconsciously looking for reasons to invade and destroy Iraq, maybe? Just speculating.

A country such as France has air patrol ready to take off with fast (2,530 km/h) supersonic interceptors. The interception time, anywhere, anytime is 5 minutes, at most. Israel, of course, has even shorter interception times. In 1998, during the world cup, the French Air Force flew CAP (COMBAT AIR PATROL) above the Stade de France. (After centuries of fighting Muslim terrorists, that was only natural.)

There was plenty of time to intercept the planes of 9/11, had interceptors been ready anywhere in the north-east USA (a civilian in civilian clothing took off after the jets in an unarmed military F15, in one of the weird events. An unarmed interceptor could have crashed in a civilian jet: the Nazis used that method in April 1945 against US bombers… However that guy did not catch up.).

The surface area of France is comparable to the north-east heartland of the USA. For Christmas 1994, six Jihadists tried to crash a jumbo jet hijacked in Algeria, on Paris. They were all killed, and the passengers all rescued. Starting on September 14, 2001, CAP has been flown over the USA and Canada. There was no CAP before that. 

Many believe that 9/11 was actually a conspiracy of the US government. In a sense, we already see there was: not having any air defense over the USA was more than weird.

The detailed reasonings of those who think the US government dynamited the towers are silly, counterfactual, erroneous. But a friend of mine, whom I knew for decades, is not just a mountain climber (thus calm), but also a top notch, white, US born engineer in charge of checking nuclear plants and dangerous gas pipelines in earthquake country. He is also not political.

My friend does believe that there are reasons to believe that 9/11 was a US government conspiracy. He is a top notch engineer, so he cannot be easily written off, as a basket case from “the basket of deplorables” (to quote Hillary Clinton). Various subtle indices look very suspicious to him. So what’s up? Hence we see that those who believe that the US government set up 9/11 can be very serious, and much more versed in matters logical and technological than, say, president Obama.

How come? The answer is obvious: they are right, in some sense. They correctly perceive that the US government’s modus operandi is to set-up conspiracies within conspiracies. (And little do they know: much of Twentieth Century history was a conspiracy, still undetected, and quaint technologies such as “Quantitative Easing”, are themselves conspiracies. All they have in common is they profit always the same class.)

The US Government’s Actions, In the Most Important Sense, Set Up 9/11:

Did agents of the US deep state plant explosives in the World Trade Center? Obviously not: the poorly conceived buildings, basically large steel tents, collapsed on their own. In 1945, a bomber lost in the fog, hit the Empire State Building. The skyscraper caught fire so badly and thoroughly that the elevators’ cables melted.

Yet the Empire State is well-built, with concrete and a honeycomb structure. Contrarily to the World Trade Center, the Empire State did not see its structure melt. A cab stuffed with rescuers and wounded crashed to the ground from the top, after its cable melted… The elevator emergency braking worked, and all, although wounded some more, survived.

Osama Bin Laden was a peaceful scion of plutocrats, managing family business in Turkey, when he was contacted by the CIA and SIA (Saudi Intelligence Agency). OBL was then made into the second main agent of US imperialism in Afghanistan (the first one being Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency). Pakistani intelligence advocated striking soft targets, such as schools. Pakistan acted under American orders, all along. The idea was to make Afghanistan dysfunctional, if not an American province.

As usual, the leaders and owners of the USA wanted absolutely that the French (!) or Russian commercial and diplomatic empires be made as small as possible.

My father was involved in geological missions which revealed that Afghanistan’s soil was rich in minerals. After that, all hell broke loose, as Pakistan attacked Afghanistan covertly (obviously under US orders). The idea of Carter was the same as it would be with Bush and Iraq: one way to make the USA stronger, is to make other countries weaker.

French intelligence people have asserted that Osama Bin Laden met with US intelligence officials, even when the USA was already in open conflict with Al Qaeda.

Speaking of conspiracies, is Barack Obama the founder of the Islamist State? As Trump asserted? In a sense, yes. It was under Obama’s watch, he was the main actor (as Trump said). Obama and Clinton took active measures to insure that Syria would be in the mess it presently is.

In particular, the deliberate destruction of Iraq by the USA, exactly what US oilmen and frackers wanted, could only bring forward a desperate resistance of deplorables such as the Islamist State fighters.

Sad is the state of US politics, when it is a greedy, self-inflating tycoon who has to tell the fundamental truth, because American intellectuals did not dare to, or, worse, were incapable of even having these thoughts.

Did higher-ups in Saudi Arabia finance the 9/11 attacks? Probably. Bin Laden was then cut-off, officially, from its wealthy family. So where did the considerable money for organizing 9/11 come from (the plot was larger than just the four planes which killed 2,996 people). It is also clear that much larger amounts of Arabian money fostered all sorts of terrorism and ‘radicalization”, worldwide since the 1930s. Now, of course, “Arabian” money does not really exist. Ultimately that was all about dollars circulating, and recycled on Wall Street (yes, Dollars, not Euros: Saddam Hussein lost his life for forgetting the difference)

So it is excellent that Congress voted unanimously to let families sue the State of Saudi Arabia. If we want to outlaw Salafism, as I proposed (and now Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, a French presidential candidate, supports the idea… so I support her), we have to outlaw Saudi Arabia under its present ideology and legal system.

Today, the resolutely clueless Obama, hell-bound, as usual, to make us all stupid, started his 9/11 tribute by quoting the god in the name of whom the planes were crashed in the towers.  THE PRESIDENT: “Good morning. Scripture tells us, “Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you…write them on the tablet of your heart.”

Well, this is a circus. The 9/11 hijackers killed in the name of the exact same scripture, which Obama quotes from approvingly, about the exact same god. And Muslim are going to celebrate the willingness of Abraham to kill his son, just because the same God told him to. The Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Qur’an all say, in all too many places, to kill unbelievers, miscreants, homosexuals, and this or that category of people.

By quoting “Scripture” as it were the ultimate ideology, the highest morality, Obama is winking at the terrorists who killed thousands of innocents on 9/11. Surely he is chuckling inside (as he orders drone strikes on civilian gatherings, just because he can).

By using Fundamentalist Islam as a weapon, starting in the 1930s, the USA used an unpredictable dragon to foster its oil agenda. Soon enough, the God of “Scripture” became the official god of the USA, inscribed by Congress in 1954:”In God We Trust”, replacing the old secular motto.

That was the least problem. The bigger problem, is that fostering of the desert God, and his will to human sacrifice made the West irrational.

But then, of course, that is the ultimate conspiracy. The only way great masters can exploit multitude of small people, is by making them so irrational that they lose track of their self-interest and of what is human, and what is not human. That was Reagan’s job, that was Clinton’s job, that was Bush’s job, and it has been Obama’s greatest success. Just because of Obama’s lofty rhetoric, and the color of his skin, nobody seems to have observed what he was really doing.

Fostering plutocracy further. But his employers will be grateful next year. That Nobel Prize on day one was just a foretaste of riches to come. Absolute power rots minds absolutely.

Satanic, of course: we don’t call it plutocracy, the rule of Pluto, also known later as ‘Satan’, for no good reason. By quoting “scripture”, Obama exonerates “scripture”, just where scripture killed 2,996 people (yes, I included the hijackers). Because exonerating “scripture” from the act those who believe in it accomplished in its name, does not just binds us to “scripture” some more. It also means that we learn to ignore the main reason why those suicidal attacks happened. In other words, president Obama is teaching us to accept to be stupid.

Making those it subjugates stupid is an elite most self-preserving strategy.

SMART IGNORANCE, DARK NAIVETY, Enlightened Hatred

Sorry for those who cling to the notion of “Politically Correct” like rats do, with a sinking ship. This title is probably rather discombobulating for them. I will justify it thereafter. Yes, it can be smart to ignore much. Yes, it can be cruel and vicious to be naïve. Yes, it can be enlightened, to hate.

Yet, what does the Dark Side thinks of the text “Vous n’aurez pas ma haine/You will not have my hatred”? Does it smirk? Or does it approve of the text, totally? Surely, the latter. The technique advised by Leiris, a selective shut down of one’s mental, not to say neurological, system, is a basic functionality the Dark Side needs to operate, selective attention. There are indeed, neurological reasons for it.

Leiris’ text explores, advocates and celebrates, a crucial, actually life saving, strategy. It is a neurophilosophical approach. That is a neurological approach endorsed by the most sophisticated philosophy, as I will explain presently.

One can go much beyond what La Rochefoucauld smartly observed, more than three centuries ago.

All & Any Human Behavior Can, & Should, Be Used In All The Many Ways Circumstances May Require, For The Greater Good, Of The Greatest Sentience.

The key observation is that one can be of many minds, on many things. More exactly, the brain can, and has to, use different Modi Operandi, according to circumstances.

The American People Is Too Naïve For Adult Material:

Is the preceding too ethereal, theoretical, vaporous, nothing to do with day-to-day reality? President Bush, the invader of Iraq, removed 28 pages of the official report on the 9/11 attack. Why? CIA Director John Brennan appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press”, on May 1, 2016, arguing that the 28 pages should not be released because the American people are incapable of evaluating them. Americans are incapables.

Brennan explained: “I think some people may seize upon that uncorroborated, unvetted information that was in there that was basically just a collation of this information that came out of FBI files, and to point to Saudi involvement, which I think would be very, very inaccurate.” High caste Saudis, of course had nothing to do with 9/11, as demonstrated by the fact that Bush ran several flights to allow them to flee the USA when no plane was allowed to fly, inside, or out of the US.

Brennan in his stupidity, let it slip by denying it: it is known Saudi “civil servants” seem to have help the Islamists of 9/11. That would be no surprise: the SIA and CIA activated Bin Laden, and launched him as a terrorist.

Not only naivety has a Dark Side, but it can be imposed on We The People.

Forgetfulness Can Be A Lifesaver:

When one fights for survival, nothing should matter to the brain, but for activity conducive to said survival. Neurological concentration on the situation can become close to 100%.

What happens in ultra emergency? Time stretches, while the brain mobilizes well beyond 100% (namely neurons, including motor neurons obviously work beyond their normal maximum. Thus superhuman strength and reflexes). The brain is fully in survival mode, and has no thought considered, only strategy implemented. Even sensations not useful for survival are not felt, especially pain.

This is what Mr. Leiris advocates, on the mental level. He excludes from his mind all what is not conducive to provide his son with what the baby needs, a maximally loving environment, even in harrowing circumstances. .

Had I been exactly in Antoine Leiris’ circumstances, I would have actually embraced the same mental strategy. I know, because I have already been in similar circumstances, where my mind had to concentrate absolutely: I was caught in avalanches twice, and saved my life through action which was nothing short of incredible, and resulted from extreme mental concentration. Once, an improvised Explosive Device was thrown on me by some fascists and exploded on a gentleman just in front, who acted as an unwitting human shield. from terrorism.

Why? Because at this point the brain has become god, master of life and death. Its mission is only about survival, whether insuring that of the brain, or the termination of the survival of the adversary. How does the brain focus on survival? It decides what the universe is. And it operates with an extremely simplified version of the universe, and not just of the universe of consideration. The brain also admits only a simplified version of the universe of sensation. The universe of sensations which matters for survival. The rest plain does not exist, because it is outright not perceived.

Naivety Is Part Of The Dark Side:

Naivety can be very useful. But naivety can also kill, has killed, and nearly got me a few times. Naivety is what enables much nefariousness to produce evil industrially. Reconsider Mr. Brennan, the CIA chief, above: why is he allowed to think We The People are a bunch of unteachable idiots, hopelessly infantile, a danger to ourselves, while keeping his job?

In “You will not have my hatred“, Mr. Leiris says that, sometimes, hatred is better left out of it. Is that a new idea? No. The idea is actually central to Christiano-Islamism.

Ironically, the Qur’an reminds us every few lines that “Allah is merciful” (however, it’s not clear we should be merciful too). That obsession, that Allah forgives all day long, was directly inherited from Christianism… Where, indeed, the faithful has to be merciful.

As there is much I dislike in Islamism and Christianism, does this mean I dislike all their concepts? Far from it. I actually love a beautiful mosque or church.

And I love mercifulness. Not just because it’s pretty, but also because it’s necessary.

I think mercifulness is totally fundamental. Mercifulness is not just wise: it’s a fundamental part of the behavior of any social animal. It’s a code to correct errors. A small human group could not function without an error correcting code. The name of that code is mercifulness.

But does that mean that hatred unworthy always? No. Far from it.

And what does “hatred” consists of, anyway?

Let’s suppose something that has happened before, on more than one continent: Patrice is out there, trying to terminate a cockroach infestation. Cockroaches are smart, fast and flat: they can squeeze in the smallest crack in the blink of an eye. So here I am, trying to kill lots of cockroaches, in all sizes from one millimeter to several centimeters. Am I animated by hatred? No. I am just concentrated on all the possibilities, the thinnest cracks. So, to commit mass murder, hatred is not necessary.

So what does hatred consist of? When is it called for? Why is it so bad? Well, the answers are rather surprising.

Hatred is called for, when it is needed. Hatred does not happen by accident. Hatred is, often a supplement of passion needed for an otherwise unsavory task. Faced with something objectively really bad, hatred is not called for. No need for hatred to eliminate mosquitoes. Hatred is needed when other passions are in the way, and these passions prevent the accomplishment of what is viewed, deep down, as a necessary task. For example, when common sense and decency are in the way. But not only. It could be love which is preventing the accomplishment of a needed task.

For example, the Nazis needed hatred to launch the Second World War. They needed the hatred to overwhelm decency, basic common sense, and whatever humanity they still harbored. However, as the war went on, the attitude of the top Nazis, say towards the French, changed. The Nazis did not need hatred anymore: the war was long launched, and was not going well. However, hatred was now in the way of many behaviors the Nazis needed to see deployed such as decency, mercifulness, common sense, humanity… and the more so, the more the war was turning against them. Well before the end, the top Nazis started to disobey Hitler’s orders.

In the end, even Himmler negotiated with the Swedes to save… Jews (they saved thousands!). It’s not just that Himmler was trying to save his precious skin from the cyanide pill in his mouth. It’s also that hatred was not needed anymore.

Hatred against the Islamist Pseudo State is obviously not needed. There is no love, decency, or common sense in the way, which we need to overcome, to accomplish the task at hand. Eradication will be plenty enough.

Finally, the president should tell the CIA that it is naïve, haughty and cruel,  to consider the American People too naïve, ignorant and malevolent, for the truth, while hoping that they are going to  live with that contempt and the trampling of their right to know, much longer.
